While doing this quest you can also complete Put Them to Rest and The Honored Dead. These are given by Grunt Ragefist who stands next to Proudhoof

This is like the escort quest in Nagrand, alliance can attack Proudhoofs party and will be flagged for PvP.

I found this to be somewhat annoying.

Longrunner Proudhoof will heal to full health whenever he leaves combat, so unless he's going to die you can conserve mana healing yourself and DPSing.

Also, it' s a good idea to focus him (if you have a mod that will show your focus frame, like x-perl)

Here's the deal with this one:

Pick up the other quests from the caravan people and do them as you do this, and finish up when you're done

Proudhoof likes to ditch you and his raiders, sadly. When he runs off make sure you follow because he likes to arggo a whole bunch of stuff he can't handle; when he dies, you fail

Let the raiders take care of the previous mob and go save his butt when he does this

After the ambush, about 3-4 spirits levels 69-ish. He lets you break

You can eat, or burn some bodies.

Then, you run to a post with a horde banner in the center, steaked threw a body ((at least it looked steaked to me))

That's Steeljaw, his spirit comes out and he has about 26k health, try go keep arggo off proudhoof and there shouldn't be a problem.

Be warned that the AI of the npcs helping you is really stupid here. Sometimes they will walk away even when you're being attacked. They won't taunt or do a lot of damage so careful with AoE. After failed attempts the camp won't defend you either when you're running back so... every man for himself on this team.

2nd attempt, the rest of the team was missing. If that happens cancel the quest and try again.

I dunno if this was just a glitch for me, but on the elite when he spawned i had low health so i ran and he despawned and it gave me credit for quest ^.^

Be sure to take both the Grunt Ragefist quests while doing We Strike. It Saves you a lot of time afterwards, as i have just learned the hard way >_<

The npcs that you are fighting with suck at keeping aggro.

Don't do what I did. I am a hunter and I started pulling tons of mobs to get the other quest done at the same time so the friendly NPCs can help me kill them. Well I died, I ran back from Graveyard. There was still 1 friendly NPC helping kill things. Well the friendly NPC died and I failed the quest.

So, I waited about 7 minutes and then proceeded to abandon and redo this quest. Bad idea. only 1 of the NPCs were helping now? Needless to say, I failed the quest again.

My advice if you do fail this quest. Just wait about 20 minutes for all of the NPCs to spawn.

Nearly impossible to solo if you are not dps. Longrunner Proudhoof repeatedly does a knockback so he pulls 2 for every 1 that you manage to kill. Find a buddy

I found this quest very annoying as a level 72 Warrior (not like level really matters in this case) Here's what happened:

It was my seond try on this quest and i just came back from rezzing... I didnt wait for the group to spawn before i took the quest again because i thought theyd spawn when I took it. They didn't. I was running and following Proudhoof and I aggroed 2 mobs that he didnt... a sage and a longrunner. I stopped to kill them because the last time I was killed by a sage, but Proudhoof didn't stop. He acted all stupid and called about 8 mobs to come and attack him. I came to help and aggroed them all... I almost got them as a prot warrior but they killed me and him.

I think I'll skip this quest :S

I tried twice,

first time I followed him helping with the kill, then wondered off by myself and the quest failed.

second time, I stayed with him in is group helping with the kill, on the third or forth group Longrunner took us to where he was attacked and we started fighting again then out came an elite. Longrunner tell you he has to be killed. Once he is dead quest is over.

This quest seems bugged, sometimes the leader/quest giver "Longrunner Proudhoof" takes off by himself raging everthing in his path, which in turn rage back onto you for aiding him. In this instance of the quest you end up with multiple enemies attacking you on multiple sides.

If he takes off by himself just let him die and redo the quest again, dont go after him. Wait for his 3 adds/extras to res with him before taking the quest again, they dont seem to res all the time properly.

Very easy on a 71 BM hunter. You can go ahead and add the other two quests from the nearby NPC at the same time as you will definitely get some credit for the 20 kills you need from that along the way, but don't pull extra mobs or stop to burn the bodies. Do that afterwards. The elite that spawns for this quest doesn't have all that much hp and goes down pretty easily.

One of your orcs named Steeljaw tried to save some time by taking a shortcut through our burial grounds. This had better not be how your Horde normally acts, <race>, or you will find the taunka to be the end of you!

Steeljaw's cursed spirit now haunts this place and disturbs the remains of my ancestors. We must put an end to him!

If we live through this, tell your Overlord Bor'gorok at the outpost to the north.
