make a macro with /target Shadow Panther and start riding around looking for them. When you find one there will be 3-5 panthers more a few yards away.

Easiest way to find them is simply to just walk around, and maybe farm some spiders if you're fast. If you mount you'll prolly run away from'em and loose their aggro.

Wowheads drop % on this Leather peice is wrong, I've grinded 100 of them (very very chinese, but I needed it for skill, twink and friends that wanted, and it sells for alot on my server) and after some math about the drops of the Shadowcat Leather and all other leathers/hides, The chance is really 7.125% ~ 7%
So next time you wanna grind these leather, try to grind the panthers in Stranglethorn Vale!

Panthers like to linger around the base of trees, just like in STV, they are the same here

When searching for them, search around the trunks of trees

Finding these can take a little while. but don't give up. Use the macro suggested and just pat around a general path of the dots and you will eventualy find the amount you need.

Actual range extends much further south than indicated on the map. You'll get a decent number of them interspersed right up the coastline just behind the beach, plus the one or two out front of the murloc cave at 67,74

there is NO levl 38s here i whent all over.
I did not find a 38.They are only 39-40

You can't really go by coords here, i just went to the top of the swamp bordering the beach, mounted up, turned speakers up, TV turned down, and zig zagged down the coastline listening for stealth. Worked much better than trying to run around by coords.

You can make your pet leave stealth off by right clicking Prowl, then if it its stealthed just left click to unstealth and itl stay unstealthed, right click prowl again to turn it back to auto

Just captured a lvl 40, so untrained and fully beast spec'd he looks like this

Damage: 51-65
DPS: 36.4
Attack: 1.6

And, as stated above, he comes with Prowl 1

Type /macro and create a macro with the line /target Shadow Panther.
Then just run up and down the area spamming that button. You'll target them long before you could even see them, and you can attack with spells/charge/pet before they get the jump on you.

i don't like him i've had him for a while n he's always stealthed!n when it un stealth's it's like for 5 secs n when stealth it runs slow!

I have done my best to provide Map Mouseovers for each and every beast, wherever possible!
Unfortunately some do not yet have maps, but these will automatically be added to this post when they're added to the NPC's page.
