Killed the Second Fragment Guardian easily with a 70 Hunter and 69 Paladin when the rest of the group left after a partial clearing. Just had to let pet die and use Feign Death to get past the last 2 naga groups and elemental group. If you're doing this, wait to the right of the pillar for the elementals to pat away, as their AoE will bring more people into combat. You're likely still going to need a group to clear 5 or 6 pulls before you get to that point however.

I confirmed today that it is still easily soloable as a 70 Rogue (Hemo). Stunned him to 50%, used Evasion and Ghostly Strike and burned him down the rest of the way without a problem.

Not only can you solo him as a rogue, but you can blind him. So this should be possible even for people without leet skills.

I did equip my Aldor sword in order to sinister it, bandaged once while it was blinded - better safe than sorry. Easy manageable.

Stealthsoloed this one too. Mutilate build, average/not that good outland gear. Used blind+bandage and a pot for it.

For those who haven't been to the instance before. Just walk straight forward, avoid the stealthdetecting Bogs and move to the water. When you get to a ramp just jump into the water to the right and the container is on the bottom. Any underwater breathing buff is nice to have, like the berries from the quest in nagrand.

Use poisons for extra dps. A trick is also to open the container, cheap shot and get 5 combo points then vanish. The guardian will be resetted but still summoned and you will have 5 combo points in the beginning of the fight. Could give you a little bit better start.

You could probably also use crippling poison and swim away from the guardian to bandage if you haven't got blind.

Don't forget to use all your cooldowns like trinkets etc etc.

Extremely easy as a Feral Druid. Do a 5 point Maim if you need to heal. I only needed 1 Renew.

I stealthed in, headed towards the 1st boss, the fragment barrel was to the right of the ramp to the 1st boss underwater. If you still have your Negrand Cherries now would be a good time to use them. After the 70 Elite came out, I only needed to heal once. Then he was dead.

Duo'd tonite with 2 mages. One was Arc/Fire, other deep fire. Basically there is this little rock hill to the the left of the bridge that leads to the last bosses, this is where you want to run to.

We both used invisibility and ran as close to it as we could. Then right when we had 1 second or so left on it we both chugged a Lesser Invisibility pot which gave us enough time to get the top of the hill.

At this point you can jump into water and not have to worry about any mobs.

We had one swim down and open it then swim back up to the top while one hammered it. When we got low on HP we staggered our frost novas to keep him off of us and bandage. Neither of us died. We were quite impressed :]

So it is duo'able with 2 mages :]

stealthed through as a mage, together with a hunter, both 70. I used invisibility and a swiftness potion, while the hunter used Invisibility Potion and Aspect of Pack. We had just enough time getting to the water.

just soloed with my mage alt, with 715 spelldamage 43/18 (arc/fire) with 6800hp

just used 2 invisibility for reach the place and then used sheep/bandage and burned him to death using some kiting :)

Solo'd as hunter 42//13//6 used the duel mage trick, aspect of cheeta with invis potion. pot runs out some what near ramp, then u can easily get up on rocks w/o aggro. then had misdirection on pet then snake trap :) and w/e aimshot and whats not

Soloed with a 41/20/0 BM hunter.

Its really easy if you know what to do. First buy some invis potions (lesser will do to) Then use your pet to pull the first 2 naga's.. run and FD a couple of yards behind them? stand up, use your Invis potion and run behind the pillar. Ressurect your pet, run into the water ( dont need to pull the naga's) and kill the arcane guardian. Hope this will help

Duo'd on my rogue with a rogue guildie. Very easy to duo. He just used evasion and I mutilated from behind. It died very quickly - one slice and dice at four points and then cold blood evis at the next five :)

I also soloed this on my brothers druid a while back. Then again, that was before there was such a thing as an arcane guardian XD

You do need another to help you with this, it is doable with a druid and rogue combo. Tried to solo but with the 70elite that spawns when opening the container its not going to be probable.
I waited til a group finished the last boss and asked if one could help me get the fragment. they were more than happy to help out.

70 BM hunter in all quest gear save for one or two Ramparts items -- so, not exactly ubergeared. I used a single Invisibility Potion: https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=9172.

As stated before; use pet to draw 1st 2 naga. Run just behind and around the corner to the left behind them. Careful with the wandering patrol that circles just behind the 1st pull. I waited until they were at 12 o'clock, sent pet, ran in and around the corner, and then FD. (Make sure you already have AoC on already -- and MOST DEFINITELY BEFORE you pop an Invisibility Potion -- if you pop the potion and THEN AoC, you'll undo invisibility.)

Wait for the pat to get approximately to 3 o'clock of their pat and pop out of FD, pop your Invisibility Potion and run like crazy for the pool. By the time I got there invisibility wore off, i aggro'd a naga, but FD was up again so just FD'd in the pool.

Rez pet. Buff if you like. I used a Scroll of Stamina V https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=27502 on my 70 Boar pet Baconbits and also a Sporeling Snack https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=27656. Used Bestial Wrath, Scorpid Sting, Aimed Shot, Rapid Fire, Multishot, Arcane Shot and just went apesh** on the guy. Kept dropping heals on my pet, but missed the last one and he died just as the Guardian did. However, the key was mine. Hearthed, and rez'd Baconbits.

Hope this helps for those hunters having trouble getting a group or who just like a little challenge.

I thought the elemental would be hard so I waited for a friend to help me but then I got bored and tried,
and killed him.

I lvled 70 yesterday so my gear sucks and I got specc: 10/48/3
I used 1 Major Combat Healing Potion which only gave me around 1200 hp. And I didnt even need it. When the elemental died I had 2500 hp left.

Oh, and didnt use any trinkets.

Done it by 69 lvl rogue. When u open a container, u have 1 sec to use your stealth before guardian appears. Then u just need stun him and kill. I've used one bandage at guardians 52% HP.

This is easily soloable by level 70 (frost) mage. I only used my own skills, not any potions. Killed first pack. Killed patrol. Used invisibility and ran in to water. Opened container. Polymorphed the mob. Swam to max range and popped elemental. Started nuking him and didnt even have to use frost nova or any cooldowns execpt elemental to kill it.

Soloed this with my shaman, 1 lesser invisiblility potion + earth elemental + reincarnation. Ran as far as i could with my invis, then popped earth elemental and ran, and died in the water and reincarnation. Used the fire elemental to kill the guardian.

This bugged for me and I could not spawn the elite. My character kept attempting to draw his bow (I'm a hunter) and I kept getting "Invalid target" errors. I removed the bow and got "You must have a ranged weapon equipped".

I don't know what's going on though. Anyone else get this before?

Soloed this yesterday as a lvl 68 rogue. This is how I did!

Stealthed to the first 2 mobs who saw me, died and run in again.
Second try I was spotted buy a giant who can see thrugh stealth, so I died again :P
Third time I figured id go naked to save cash. Got all the way to the big ledge you can walk up right before the water.

Now, I did NOT equip my gear! I swimmed down and opend the container and died again. Why? If I open it to fight I wont get a Stealth-opener, but if I die, he will NOT reset so the next run I can swim down to him and get a cheap shot in! :)

So basicly my fourth run I got to him in stealth, and the fight was rather easy as a Combat rogue. Had to blind and bandage once, but ended up with 60% health when the mob was dead.

I just soloed this as a level 70 -hunter-...although my Engineering skills came in very handy.

There's not a lot of finesse involved here; by using a combination of my Gnomish Cloaking Device, Rocket Boots Xtreme, and Feign Death, and using your pet to draw a couple mobs away before you make a break for it, you can rocket your way to the pool of water in a few steps.

Clearly not the easiest way to get it, but it is possible.

Feral Spec Druid on Cenarius, and this is definitely easy to solo. As mentioned previously, stealth in, open the container and beat some rear in bear form. I had to pop and heal a couple times, but easy all the same.

Easily stealthed to as a 70 Druid, Bog Lords are the only mobs that see stealth on the way to the pool of water and they are easily avoided as are all the pathers as long as you're not impatient.

soloable as a druid or rogue, no talents required. go far to the left to get past the first 2 mobs. once you're in, watch out for bog lords who see stealth and water elementals who patrol around. stick to the left side of the path and there will be a ramp that goes up to the "first boss". instead, jump into the water and swim down and to the left. this is where the key part is. there will be a ramp nearby where you can get back out of the water too. you can stealth out the same way you went in.

just soloed it
level 70 bm hunter
with 1 invis pot

just do it like in the mage video
but when youre at the save spot you dont need a 2nd potion
you can go directly in the water from there without pulling aggro
just jump on this err "brown terrain" and then go in the water

the guardian is level 70 elite but hes not so hard
just make sure you use all your cooldowns
when youre melee better bring healing pots

i did it but i had to use all cooldowns heal my pet and take aggro from my pet shortly
my pet was nearly dead (5%) and a got a drowning tick after the guardian died

I have tried as a hunter.

Used aspect, nifty stopwatch and invisibility potion. But i dont get anywhere near the "safe zone" before the potion runs out.

How did you manage that?

Just did it now. What I did was to send my pet on the two first mobs, run past them and FD. When its safe to break FD, then I used nifty stopwatch, and the invisibility potion. This way I could get to the "safe zone" before the potion ran out.

I watched the Mage video on Youtube and just ran right through the first few mobs and had swiftness pot on, i just kept running to the safe spot in the video and let them kill me, i then anked and used a invisibilty pot then ran to the lake, the 70 elite guy was ez to take i just had my earth elemental tank.

did this solo (rogue) and heres how.

first stealth over to the place, while being careful of the bog lords. once over there i opened it then vanished just so i could use cheapshot (cause im too careful), popped evasion, 5 combo points - kidney shot, popped adrenaline rush, kidney shot, blind, bandaged, spammed SS and it was over. no potion, enjoy a easy key fragment.

You don't need a swiftness potion. Just kill the first 2 mobs in front by sheeping one and killing other then running out to regen mana and hp. Run back in and kill 2nd. Then follow move and you won't need a swiftness potion.

Guardian can be soloed also.

Soloed as a lvl 70 resto druid. Just put on my tanking armor and stunned->healed barkskin->healed stunned->healed till he was dead, used up my bear healing skill, and a mana pot, but if a 70 tree can do it .....

Just finished soloing this as a level 70 resto shaman.

After watching the video of the mage soloing his way there I bought 2 invisibility potions. Activating it as close as I could to the first mobs, I ran in a straight line toward the safe spot. The potion ran out as i was about 20 feet away or so. As soon as I appeared, I dropped an earthbind totem. As I was about to die, I used nature's swiftness + healing wave to allow me to get a few more feet. I died right in the safe spot. Then I afk'd for 10 minutes waiting for the potion timer to reset on invis. I then reincarnated, used an invis pot and ran to the water safely where I used my earth totem to tank the elemental while i healed and nuked. Pretty easy. Probably didnt even need the second invis pot but didn't want to risk it. Good luck.

So easy to do as hunter
Im lv 70 marks specced hunter and i did it today with only 1 invi potion.....
I just used it before 2 first guards then ran to the safety point, i didnt got all the way but then i ran the rest of way and pulled some mobs and then i reached to point i FD...(ofc used aspect of the cheetah)... i run to the water and ressed pet and buffed up.... the elite was very easy.

2. Arcane and Multi Shot
3. Wing Clip
4. Pet - Fire Breath
5. Shatter Shot
6. Arcane and Multi Shot
7. Feign Death
8. Fire Breath and Bandage my self

You dont need a swiftness pot.. and you dont need to stop at that early spot. I just agro'd the pat in the first room and the first group, frost nova, invis, and i made it to the water unskathed.

Did this "solo" with my warrior..had a rogue to help me to kill the 2 first mobs..then i used invis. potion ran to the safe spot behind the pillar...waited for potion CD(10 min.) then ran down to the water and killed the elemental..easy quest

If you can't get a hold of swiftness potions (as a mage), get the Lesser Invisibility Potions. Use Invisibility first, then at 1sec left pop the potion. Follow the same path as the Youtube mage video.

You also don't need the second potion that the mage uses in the video. Just click Invs. and start running, and aim a little up that brown ramp and jump into the water. (I know that makes NO sense, but watch the video, you'll see)

Edit: If your a Miner, there's a adamantite deposit at the rest point.

solo as a mage with no potion... easy. frost nova the 1st 2 mobs. run till the you are close to the next mobs but dont agro. cast invisibility. go to the safe point ahead (on video) wait and cast invisibility again. all done.

Very soloable, would suggest getting a potion to breath under water if you don't have high enough damage output to finish him before your breath runs out, otherwise mob is nothing.

Two manned it as night elf warriors. Used invisibility potion to get past first mob and behind the tree to the left. As soon as the invisibility potion ran out, we used shadowmeld and stood there until the cooldown timer was done (there are two patrols, if you stand in the right spot behind the tree they will not bother you). Used invisibility potion again to get to the safe spot shown in the mage video. Again waited for cooldown on potion, then used it again to get to the water, jumped in, beat the guardian, and got the second key frag!

and that in fact that i'm dagger spec, so should not be any problem for a sword specced rogue or feral druid.

He's not immune to blind/poison as you may think.

You can do this alot quicker with an invisibily potion(18 sec) and a lesser invisibility potion(15 sec) and no run speed increase

When you pop the invisibilty potion the cooldown on it is then 10 min but the lesser one is only 2 min, so you only have to wait 2 minutes

Run to the right of the first pillar (right most), you wont make it to the second one unless you have a speed bonus, if you can wear leather (warrior, paladin,shaman,) you can buy the swift boots which increase runspeed by 40% for 15 sec and easily make it to the left pillar

I soloed this on a warlock with the potion and the lesser potion no problems.

To solo the lvl 70 elite as a rogue is really easy i didnt use any potions.
I did this as combat spec.
First get there,if you dont know where it is search on youtube =p.
make sure u remove all poisons that do damage over a period.
Start with 2 sinister strikes and evasion-> hit slice and dice+blade fury and if you have a trinket wich increases attack power use it aswell. when evasion is gone and he is damageing you to low health, use blind and bandage yourself(if neccesary)
if you follow these steps it should be easily done !

Very easy with a hunter. Keep aspect of cheetah on the whole time. Only need one invisibility pot, send pet on first mob and run past to safe spot on the left feign death and let pet die, wait for patrol to pass by get up take an invisibility pot and run to the water. Rez pet, kill elemental and done.

very easy, all you need is a invisible potion.

feign death your way past the 2nd boglord ( you may have to suicide pet with med pet on to do this) then when you are safe at 2nd boglord use aspect of cheetah and invisible potion, and the rest is easy, when u get to elemental just nuke it. good luck

Just wanted to add that this is also soloable for shadow Priests, i was a bit worried as ii'm not very well geared and a bit squishy but was easy enough to do. Only used one Invis potion and no swiftness potion as you can get far enough on one and just avoid the mobs where in the video the second is used. You do need to take out the first two gaurds tho but is easy with mind control. Will try and post a video but it needs editing first

Shadow priest (no special T/set necessary or purple gear need).
N° 2 INV Potion
N° 1 Swiftnees potion or trinket +* agility or run speed etc..
I'm undead so I run very very very slowly. 1st try inv. potion end in the middle of mob.
Second time use an agility potion (+*AG for 1h) plus trinket increase speed 40% 10sec and all go well. In safe spot (see mage solo video on utube) wait INV potion cooldown.
Another inv potion e simply run on the lake. Buff and if u wont can drink a elixir of shadow power.
Elite isn't hard really.
Shield, click on fragment, dot mob and nuke it. At half of your life use fear, healt full & shield again, call shadow fiend for rec mana, 2 nuke and u can loot the key.
Ah check u have no cooldwon on your hearthstone.....understand me? :)

Soloed as 70 holy paladin. Pop invis and swift pots and run. Wait for CD on invis and do it again into the water. Kill elite and get key frag.

Soloable as a (have to be NE) 70 hunter with NO invis potions...

Just wanted to see if it was possible really, the time & 4g repair it took is probly not worth it since I could've got a 1g invis potion from the AH in about 5 secs.

Buuut, if you want to know:

Note: I don't believe in sending my pet to die, so I dismissed him as soon as I got in. I then grouped with a random person so I could use raid targets for the pats.

(Steps are split up by positions you FD in)

Step 1.1: There are 2 stationary guards and a 2 person pat in the beginning. Wait until the pat is going to the right past the guards, trap a guard and clip the other, run to the left and feign near the grass. This is hard to judge on the first attempt but no worries.

Step 1.2: If the patrolling water elementals / naga path too close, watch their path and wait until them and the naga pat sync up so that they are walking away from you at the same time. Hit shadowmeld to pop right into it from FD. Once your FD is CDed, you can wait for the 2 pats to path by and see if you're in the right spot (meaning they both 'sense' you but continue on) If not move a bit and FD again OR if you can, just continue on to step2.1.

step 1.3: While in this position you'll want to mark the 3 patrolling groups of elementals with your raid icons.

Step 2.1: This is key, once the naga and surger pats are out of your way, run straight through the group of 3 ahead on your left. Try and make it as far past them as you can so that when you go shadowmeld from FD they won't aggro BUT read 2.2 before shadowmelding. Also, note the giant on your left. If you are too close he will see through your stealth (they have stealth detection). I found if you feign in between that group and the group near the pillar on the left of the door, you should be okay.

step2.2: BEFORE you shadowmeld, watch the 3 elemental pats that you marked. TWO of them will path right near you and one should keep its distance. Once you have their paths down shadowmeld when you'll have enough time for your FD to CD. There is a door with 2 guards ahead to the right and a pillar with a naga group on each side. The GOAL is to get behind the left pillar where there is a 'safe zone' (you won't aggro anyone out of stealth).

step3.1: Run to the right side of the left pillar and try to make it far enough past the group there so that when you shadowmeld after your FD you wont get aggro (which doesn't have to be that far away).

step3.2: continue shadowmelding and waiting for the FD CD, running and FDing, until you are safely within the 'safe zone'. Then simply jump in the water and pwn that key hoarding mob. (pretty easy fight as BM with all CDs, does just about the same dmg as my improved mend pet).

Bam, another reason hunters are the most OPed PvE class (especially NE).

Ok so i devised a way for any paladin to solo his second Steamvaults keyfrag... As a paladin i thought about it for a bit and then i hired a warlock, me and warlock named vilecursed, entered and killed the first two guards then he soulstoned me and i ran through whatever i could before i was about to die i bubbled and popped a swiftness potion, i ran to the water by the keyfrag guardian.. then glady died... popped the soulstone.. buffed up... went and killed him... EASY solo for any paladin,

I know it's been said, but just to reassure every rogue... I'm sub spec, S1 gear and level 65+ blues and I had no trouble. No sweat sneaking past the nagas, and I didn't have to pass by any of the bog lords. Jumped into the water, opened the container, and did the ol' Evade, Prep, Evade while using Crystalforged Trinket. Got lucky and had my Executioner proc which added to the ease. No healing potions or buffs. As simple as everybody says.

Solo'd as a level 70 feral druid. snuck past the gaurds no problem, and killed the key container guard thing easy, no heals no pots, and thats AFTER i ran outta breath and lost like 25% of my health.

that being said i tried to sneak past the nagas as a resto druid SEVERAL times and it didnt work.

This sucked a lot. Didn't think about doing a pally power moment utnil we already had a full group and other ppl needed the key too. We weren't properly grouped and people were sloppy in pulls. Wiped a lot. Eventually i just shot a Blessing of freedom on our rogue and he sprinted through everything and pulled them away from the water...everyone else ran in. Would have been much easier with just the lock or the rogue. But hey at least we got to it.

Not so easy on my resto druid. Hardest part was getting past the first two mobs. Stealth, use dash and run between them. Run out if they detect you. Wait 5 min for cooldown on dash then repeat. They detected me about 19 out of 20 times but eventually can get past them. (Probably easier for a feral druid that has Feral Instinct for improved stealth.)
edit: Out of curiosity, tried stealth again using Sneaking Potion, was way easy to get past the mobs. (Wish I had tried that in the beginning!)

Second Key Fragment drop from Second Fragment Guardian. This guy appear after interact with Arcane Container in The Steamvault.
Arcane Container is located before the first boss inside the water. After enter the dungeon go straight until reach the water.
