The area around 67,60 has lots of stingers and a pretty good drop rate.

Worst drop ever. I've killed around 50 of Umbraglow Stinger, and 6 drops :/

I farmed the Umbraglow Stingers and i think i got lucky because i had a 100% drop rate:). Either that or the drop rate is off

I Killed about 30 of the Umbraglow Stingers and i only got 1 drop so far so i must be very unclicky :(

The listed drop rate is off.
You will only have a chance of getting one of these if you're on the quest,
so anyone not on the quest who kills one throws it off.

Lol. A 25% drop rate more like 5-10% bad drop rate. By the time I was done I had 30 plants

Actually the quest text suggests Umbraglow Stingers, which indeed have by far the highest droprate, they are found southeast of Telrador. Altho all firefly species in Zangermarsh have a chance for drop, Umbraglow Stingers are the way to go.

For a slower spawn but much more reliable droprate, try spawn camping Blacksting. dropped 8 out of 10 kills :D

i'm not getting 25% off the umbraglow stingers. i'm getting more like 1 in 10 which means I have to kill at least 80 of these damn things

Droprates for this sucks... on MobMap il have a drop rate of 30% but THATS WRONG! i onky have 3 wings in 90 kills...

The droprate is mutch higher in daytime than nighttime... Got my last 5 wings i 15mins...

After patch 2.3 I think blizz made drop rate way better. About 40% now

Diaphanous Wing is a quest related item - you need to collect 12 to complete There's No Explanation for Fashion quest.

Make your way back to the Cenarion Refuge. Keep moving farer to the south and you should spot multiple Umbraglow Stingers along your path.
You can now just move around the Umbrafen Lake killing mobs and collect Diaphanous Wings - drop chance is medium.
