How is Darkmoon Faire Different in WoTLK Classic?Differences in Darkmoon Faire between Burning Crusade Classic and WoTLK Classic

New Schedule: Darkmoon Faire now starts on the first Sunday of each month at 12:01 server time, rather than starting setup on the first Friday of the month and opening the following Monday. This means that Darkmoon Faire's schedule is far more predictable than it used to be. It also appears on the new in-game calendar if you forget.

New Darkmoon Faire Cards and Decks: Four new Darkmoon Faire trinkets can be created from Darkmoon Faire cards. These have an iLevel of 200 and a required level of 80. All Darkmoon Faire cards used to create decks are now created through Runografia.

Darkmoon Trinkets are no longer Bind on Pickup. In both Classic and Burning Crusade Classic, Darkmoon trinkets created from decks were Bind on Pickup. All Darkmoon trinkets are now Bind on Equip, even those from previous expansions. This means that completed trinkets can now be sold on the Auction House.

Reputation: Fiera di Lunacupa reputation has become far more important to build, since it is a required element for the Follia estrema achievement, which earns the title .

Differences in Darkmoon Faire between Classic and Retail

There is no Darkmoon Isle in WoTLK Classic. Darkmoon Faire has three static locations in Mulgore, Elwynn Forest, and Terokkar Forest, and the Faire rotates every month among them.

There are no Darkmoon Faire Mages to teleport you to the grounds in any Classic version.

Vendors have a much more limited selection in Classic versions..

In WoTLK Classic, Fiera di Lunacupa doesn't earn you anything other than the usual changes in vendor prices that come with any reputation improvements, although as noted it does earn credit toward Follia estrema.

Games in the WoTLK Darkmoon Faire are just there for play. They don't have any associated daily quests and there are no prizes or reputation that comes from playing them.

The +5 Profession quests that exist in Retail Darkmoon Faire were not introduced until Cataclysm, so are not present now.

Faire Setup in MulgoreDarkmoon Faire LocationsReaching the Elwynn Forest Darkmoon Faire as Horde

Go to the zeppelin platform in either Ogrimmar or Undercity and take the zeppelin to Grom'gol Base Camp in Stranglethorn Vale.

Once in Grom'gol (don't forget to pick up the flight point if you don't have it), take the road northeast out of the camp, and turn left at the T intersection. Travel north along this road until you cross into Duskwood.

Follow the road north, but keep your eye out for a small Alliance guard encampment on the right side of the road, near the junction of the east-west road. As soon as you see it, swing west to avoid this camp. Do not turn onto the road, but head overland north between the Twilight Grove and Raven Hill Cemetery.

Stay north in this corridor until you hit the river (ideally you want to be around 30,24 in Duskwood). Cross the river into Elwynn Forest.

Head north, keeping the farm (Maclure Vineyards) to your right. You will soon see the Darkmoon Faire grounds, just south of Goldshire.

Reaching the Mulgore Darkmoon Faire as AllianceShorter but Riskier: Menethil Harbor > Theramore > Dustwallow Marsh > Barrens > Mulgore

Fly to Menethil Harbor in Wetlands, and take the boat to Theramore.

From Theramore, run northwest into Dustwallow Marsh and follow the road as it winds north, then west, then south, and then west again toward the Barrens.

Upon entering the Barrens, go west and then turn north on the main road. When you can see Camp Taurajo up ahead, swing west toward the mountains and pass south of Camp T, picking up the road going west into Mulgore on the other side.

Go west into Mulgore until you see a small dirt road heading north, just to the east of the pond (this route avoids Bloodhoof Village and mostly avoids a guard that can wander this road, although you will need to keep an eye out for him).

Keep the pond at your left shoulder and follow it around until you pick up the road again going north. This will take you safely into the Darkmoon Faire grounds.

Longer but Safer: Stormwind > Elwynn > Duskwood > Stranglethorn > Ratchet > Barrens > Mulgore

Take your best route to Stormwind City, and exit the city into Elwynn Forest. Run south to Goldshire, and turn east.

Run east across Elwynn Forest into Redridge Mountains.

In Redridge, take your first right and run south into Duskwood.

Follow the road south through Darkshire, and around a bend toward the west. Just south of the Twilight Grove, turn left on the road and due south into Stranglethorn Vale.

Follow the road south down the entire length of Stranglethorn Vale to Booty Bay, and take the boat on the northwest docks to Ratchet.

Once in Ratchet (don't forget to pick up the flight point!), take the road west toward the Crossroads. Once you can see the Crossroads, you will need to cut off the corner going southwest, and pick up the road going south.

As you approach Camp Taurajo, you will see a road turning west into the camp. Skirt well north of Camp T and pick up the road west into Mulgore on the other side.

Keep the pond at your left shoulder and follow it around until you pick up the road again going north. This will take you safely into the Darkmoon Faire grounds.

This trinket comes in four versions, depending on whether you want it to be +90 Agility, Intellect, Spirit, or Strength. It's the only card that comes with that choice.

Mazzo della Follia

Carta di Lunacupa: Follia: Each time you land a killing blow on an enemy that yields experience or honor, you gain the Power of Madness.

This deck works differently for each class. The deck has the possibility of 9 different buffs, but will randomly pick different ones depending on your class. For example, Complesso del Martire can be applied to all classes, but Sociopatia only applies to Paladins, Rogues, Druids, and Warriors. See the description of Carta di Lunacupa: Follia for a full list of possible effects. These random buffs last for 30 seconds, can be applied to a player more than once, and can refresh the timer on buffs if it randomly selects a duplicate.

Mazzo delle Tempeste

Carta di Lunacupa: Ira: Each time one of your direct damage attacks does not critically strike, you gain 17 critical strike rating and 17 spell critical strike rating for the next 10 sec. This effect is consumed when you deal a critical strike.

This is a strange trinket, and worth reading the comments section when you click on this. On the face of it, the trinket looks good, but running the numbers tells a different story. It only affects crit chance when you don't crit, which is odd. In fact, it gets less effective the better your gear is -- the more you crit, the less chance it has to proc. It may be useful to classes that don't crit that often, but there's a reason this trinket doesn't appear on anyone's BiS list. For most DPS classes, Carta di Lunacupa: Crociata is a much more appealing choice.

Level 60 Darkmoon TrinketsMazzo delle Bestie

Carta di Lunacupa: Drago Blu: Equip: 2% chance on successful spellcast to allow 100% of your Mana regeneration to continue while casting for 15 sec.
If you cast a lot of instant or short-cast spells, such as healers in raids, this is a very useful trinket. Not so useful for DPS classes who primarily use long-cast or channeled spells.

Mazzo degli Elementali

Carta di Lunacupa: Maelstrom: Chance to strike your melee target with lightning for 200 to 300 Nature damage.
Note this says "melee" damage, so obviously this is best for melee classes. It's considered a BiS for Retribution paladins.

Mazzo dei Portali

Carta di Lunacupa: Distorsione Fatua: Gives the wearer a 10% chance of being able to resurrect with 20% health and mana.
This trinket is primarily good for PvP.

Mazzo dei Signori della Guerra

Carta di Lunacupa: Eroismo: Sometimes heals bearer of 120 to 180 damage when damaging an enemy in melee.

This may seem like a good tank trinket, but the general consensus is that this is a more useful trinket for melee farming or grinding.

This completes the quest, and she will give you Uovo di Pincopallina Non Covato. In seven days, it will hatch and you will have your very own Jubling, summoned through Pincopallina.

Creating a Deck
To create a deck, collect all eight cards and click on them to combine. This starts a corresponding quest to turn in the deck to Professor Thaddeus Paleo in Darkmoon Faire:

Great guide.
There's just one thing I'd like to point out.

... worth highlighting are the 50-ticket Darkmoon Storage Box, a 14-slot bag you can get as early as level 6 ...

While this is technically true. At level 6 you won't be able to earn it yourself, and would have to get it second-hand from a higher level character.
At that level you only have access to tier 1 hand-ins for 1 ticket at a time.
And the reputation earned will take you past the cutoff after just 2 hand-ins.
Leaving you with a total of only 7 tickets, until you level up for higher tier turn-ins.

If you want to obtain it yourself, you should be able to from level 20.
This grants Tier 3 hand-ins (8 tickets each).
Which should cut off after 6 hand-ins.
Plus the 5 tickets from the flyer quest, and squeak past the line with 53 tickets.

And a 14 slot bag at level 20 still comes in pretty handy.
