Preparing for 6.0: Guide to Removed Mounts, Pets, Transmog Gear, Titles, Achievements
Patch 6.0 is the pre-patch for Warlords of Draenor and it has many notable changes such as the

Blizzard just published a blog explaining changes
Schlacht um Orgrimmar
will undergo for 6.0 and beyond, including gear stats and rewards like heirlooms. If you want to learn more about raiding in Warlords of Draenor, be sure to check out our

All items will have their stats and socket bonuses squished. In addition, items that have hit and expertise will have those stats removed and converted into a useful secondary stat like haste, crit, or mastery. Spirit will no longer be found on armor pieces as well (it can still be found on non-armor pieces like necks).

News Roundup: Siege of Orgrimmar Normal/Heroic Cross-Realm Raids, Hotfixes and F2P Heroes
As well as these changes, we've got the latest hotfixes and the new free-to-play hero set in Heroes of the Storm: We've recently implemented an often requested feature to enable cross-realm raiding for

. Cross-realm BattleTag™ and Real ID friends can now raid together and take the fight to
Garrosh
on Normal or Heroic difficulty. Players will be able to earn greater rewards such as

As for realm firsts, realm firsts are guild achievements; you need to be in a guild group, which is by definition 8/10 or 20/25 members coming from a single guild on a single server. You could theoretically have a couple of guests from a different server and still claim the realm first, but ultimately 80% of the group still has to be from the

For Flex, you do not need an item level to queue up, but you must queue up with a premade group of friends. The Flex bosses drop ilvl 540 loot.

Preparing for Patch 5.4 Guide: Gear Changes, Removed Content, and More!
Patch 5.4 is a week away, so today we're taking a look at things you can do to prepare for the patch--from saving your
Tapferkeitspunkte
to finishing up Battlefield Barrens! Next week we will publish our Patch 5.4 guide to all the new content, but for now we're just focusing on the changes that can impact how you play the week before.

Existing Gear Changes
In Patch 5.4, all reputation gear tied to MoP factions (except for
Shado-Pan-Vorstoß
) will cost
Gerechtigkeitspunkte
instead of
Tapferkeitspunkte
and the reputation requirements will be lifted--so if you hate grinding reps and are short on VP, just wait a week to buy those items.
Shado-Pan-Vorstoß
gear will still cost
Tapferkeitspunkte
in 5.4, but heavily discounted, so it's probably best to wait and buy those items when the patch hits. Shoulders are unaffected, as they cost gold.
Item upgrades aren't going away in 5.4--if you're not sure what to do this week, upgrade your best pieces with Valor this week, and buy the cheaper

Patch 5.4 Trinket Preview, RPPM and Scaling Details
With Patch 5.4 two weeks away, we're taking a look at all the new trinkets today. The new trinkets from
Schlacht um Orgrimmar
are between ilvl 528 (LFR) and ilvl 572 (Heroic Warforged), and there are also ilvl 496 and ilvl 535 BoA trinkets from the
Zeitlose Insel
.
Many of these trinkets have interesting procs--some change the cooldown recovery rate on major abilities, while others have cleave or multistrike mechanics. For the spec-specific trinkets, we've tested them on the PTR--several affected abilities have changed over the course of the PTR.
The Stats and Scaling Proc columns below link to spell IDs used by a trinket. On a spell page, these trinket procs will display their base ilvl 463 value--what you would see when zoning into a Challenge Mode or Proving Grounds. The trinket proc values scale up on our various item pages.
New to 5.4, trinkets now display RPPM information on their tooltips. On item and spell pages, we now show whether a proc's RPPM scales with crit, haste, or budget (item level), such as

5.4 PTR: Siege of Orgrimmar and Timeless Isle BoA Gear, Talk Azeroth with Olivia
This week, Olivia Grace is fed up to the teeth of constantly talking about the in-game store so swears off it for now—long may it continue.
Instead, she's tackling something came to light following some research she did to answer a recent viewer question: item levels. She reckons gear is pretty broken in WoW right now and wants your ideas to fix it; Olivia gives a couple of her own to get you started.
She also tackles Ghostcrawler's recent tweets about item squish, in this context, and despite her rapidly disappearing voice, Olivia still manages to answer a viewer question or two in another packed show.

Siege of Orgrimmar Heirlooms
In a recent PTR build, epic BoA items were datamined! These heirlooms drop from
Garrosh Höllschrei
on Flex, Normal, and Heroic difficulty--another incentive to run raids besides LFR. These items have interesting models as well--they are based on Horde PvP weapons from classic WoW.
We've received confirmation from Blizzard that the item levels and stats are not final yet.[/b
