anyone know if this generates more rage when using a 2H - i'm thinking it doesn't due to the fact that is says "an additional rage point" meaning 1 rage point - but just wanted to confirm.
评论来自
ilovemrdoe
It gives 1 extra rage point on a single hit, and it's a fixed % proc rate, which means that dual wield will generate more rage from this ability than 2H.

Incorrect.
As of patch 2.0.10:
"Unbridled Wrath" has been modified so that rather than a fixed chance to grant rage, it has an increased chance when using slower weapons.

If you have 5p in it, it doesn't matter if there's a higher proc chance on slow weapons, since it's 100% proc chance anyway.

tobarstep
The actual rate is still unknown. Yes, the chance for it to proc was increased on slower weapons, but you will still benefit less from it with a slow 2-hander than you will dual wielding. I've leveled a warrior with a 2H Fury/Imp Slam build and this, imo, was a waste of talent points for a 2H build. Apparently it can only proc off things that use the swing timer such as autoattack, heroic strike and cleave, and not off instant attacks or slam.

2/5 +16% Chance
3/5 +24% Chance

5/5 +40% Chance

I use a two-handed weapon and personally I find this talent not worth the 5 points it costs when using a 2h. Don't get me wrong this skill is very helpful when
duel-wielding
, but if you are using a 2h weapon your points could be spent on better things.
I did use this talent for quite some time with my 2h but when I changed my spec and no longer had this skill I noticed almost no difference in my rage generation.
For every talent point you spend you get 8% chance to proc (keep in mind its 1 rage point)
For 5/5 it is 40% chance to generate 1 rage

I wonder if this talent will be any good with Titan's Grip dualwielding slow 2-handers.

im not sure how this calculates
all i know is my rage generation meter told me
75% unbridled wrath
20% endless rage
5% damage taken
and i use a 2 hander
this talent is very confusing to me,altough i invest in it anyway, because theres not much else in the second talent bar for fury

I have tested it on the Headless Horseman. Titan Gripping two Khorium Champions. First dual hit generated around 35-40 rage, then the second dual hits almost filled the rage bar. VERY effective. After the two sets of dual swings you can dump all your rage on the target (if its not allready dead ^^).

Don't misjudge this Unbridled Wrath talent. It worth it. I had only 2/5 points invested into it.
In Naxx Thaddius fight, I got this result from WWS Report:
Bloodrage 80 Rage
Unbridled Wrath 79 Rage
Overall Naxx Raid Cleared:
Bloodrage Total 1,470 Rage
Unbridled Wrath Total 1,163 Rage
Unbridled Wrath is like having auto Bloodrage - hitting Bloodrage whenever is up during the boss or trash fight.
-------
Done a bit more math from WWS with weapon speed 3.4 / 3.5 (iLvl 213 / 200+):
1 point = ~0.13 Rage per second (Approx)
2 point = 7.8 Rage per min
3 point = 15.6 Rage per min
4 point = 23.4 Rage per min
5 point = 39 Rage per min
So Investing point into Anger Management (20 Rage per min) is good to have also.
Getting 3/5 isn't worth it, you rather push the last point into Anger Management.
3/5 Unbridled Wrath = 15.6 Rage per min
Total = 15.6 Rage per min
OR
2/5 Unbridled Wrath = 7.8 Rage per min
Anger Management = 20 Rage per min
Total = 27.8 rage per min

Both Booming Voice and Imp Demo Shout are better options than this. Paired with the Glyph of Battle, Booming Voice extends the duration of your battle shout to 5 minutes...very nice to have if your raid is short on pallies.....and even if you have the pallies...an extra minute on your Command Shout is worth far more to your raid than the absolutely TINY amount of DPS 2 pts in UW will give.
Likewise the dmg reduction of Imp Demo Shout is better for the raid as well.
7.8 rage a minute does absolutely SQUAT for you as a fury warrior.....and does even less for the raid you're a part of...
In short, avoid UW like the plague

So Unbridled Wrath is more of a levelling than an endgame talent, I guess?

This concurs with my own investigations. However, I look at it this way, 1 point in Anger Management + 2 points in Improved Berserker Rage yields 60 rage per minute compared to the 5 talent points required to get appx 30-40 rage per minute via Unbridled Wrath. this leaves you two extra points that you can invest into Improved Cleave or Piercing Howl without worrying about losing anything else. It's true that you have to pop Berserker rage more frequently in combat, but for PvE, against most raid bosses, there's not a big fear component to work to avoid, so there's no downside to doing this.
If you equip them all, you lose 5 talent points to gain a meager amount of rage, which could go to other talents further up the tree. Upon reconsideration (after using a talent build that had 5 points in this for a while) I'd rather use Booming Voice so that my raid buffs don't have to be popped as often in my rotation, not to mention that it allows me to 2 shout in arenas, rather than dumping even 2 points into this talent. There are a lot better things I can spend those extra talents on higher up in the tree.

I've read this with interest, and it confirms my belief that Unbridled Wrath is the worst talent in WoW, regardless of any class, and including any past abilities removed from the game. I'll explain why.
It's beggars belief how bad it is.
I'll take the numbers from a post above as true with 3/5 Unbridled Wrath...
3/5 Unbridled Wrath = 15.6 Rage per min
I think that overall that would contribute to about... oooh... let's be generous and say 1% of my DPS. And that
is
being generous. And thats based on a figure, when its actually just a "chance on hit"!
Why on earth would you take it? When levelling, I'd rather take Booming Voice/Commanding Presence to give a constant AP/Health pool gain. In a 5-man, I'd rather take the same due to the chances of a Paladin and/or Warlock not being in the party fairly high. In a raid, even if Comm. Shout and Battle Shout aren't as required, I'd actually take Booming Voice/Improved Demoralising Shout to help out my tanks and healers considerably.
Even if I was being completely selfish and concentrating solely on my own DPS, I'd have to put 2/5 Unbridled Wrath, but I'd be fighting with my own sense of logic in doing so.
It desperately needs to be changed. The tooltip at the very least. Something like a 5/10/15/20/25% chance to instantly generate 1/2/3/4/5 Rage when you deal melee damage with a weapon. That'd at least make it a viable stat for those Warriors who want every point adjusted to DPS (yet even then, can any Fury Warrior currently say they ever find themselves rage-starved?)
Simply put, no rationally thinking Fury Warrior would take this on. Ever!

Isnt there an increased chance to gain rage when using 2 handed weapons though? Could titans grip turn this into auto rage point on every swing?

This talent is very situational and bad in most builds (especially fury ironicly) but let's give it a look from the positive side
A few facts in favor of this talents:
-extra attacks on swing (like sword spec procs or cleave attacks) can proc UW
-if you are a slow 2H user you don't need to take 5/5 in this talent to benefin from it every swing (at least it wasn't so until wotlk, have never heard it was changed)
-flurry increases the rage gotten from this talent by as much as it speeds up your autoattacks, obviously
-it's the only way you can get rage benefit on special swings, which is especially nice on cleave and heroic strike who eat away your rage on next swing, giving it at least some use, but also slam (swing timer stop) and ww (double the proc rate) benefin more from it then other special moves, so comparing it with white swing rage generation is a bit off
-it's, apart from improved bloodrage, the earliest rage generating talent to reach, and since 5/5 cruelty is almost used by all, very easy to reach for any warrior facing rage problems
-it benefits more from builds who favor rage cost reduce above rage generation (mainly prot or lower level builds), I for one noticed the difference in rage need when i took a few points in this talent when I OT
-even with all these arguments, you probably are better not spending points in here at all

In a fury pve dps build, you WILL take 3/3
Armored to the Teeth
and 5/5
Cruelty
. That is 8/10 points needed to progress to the 3rd row. Your only remaining choices to place these 2 points into are
Unbridled Wrath
,
Improved Demoralizing Shout
, or
Booming Voice
(or some combination of 1 point into 2 of those 3).
Unbridled Wrath
will generate rage.
Improved Demoralizing Shout
will cause your DS to reduce enemy's attack power more.
Booming Voice
will save rage, AND increase the AREA OF EFFECT of your BS. In a raid environment, no warriors are rage starved, by any means. (Unless you are constantly smashing your face against your keyboard.) Imho the only thing of value in a raid environment available in these tps are either
Improved Demoralizing Shout
, or
Booming Voice
... I personally would choose
Booming Voice
as I know I will be using it, wheras if I believe I have to use DS to keep everyone alive, either I'm fatheaded or in a really, really fail group.

If you NEVER have rage problems then i think you may be doing something wrong...
I try to use most/all of my rage during each fight to max my dps instead of saving a full bar while i let it slowly tick away in downtime... This talent gives you
more
rage to do
more
dps, not just fill up your rage bar and let it sit there. Just my 2 cents.

Gives you a chance to generate an additional rage point when you deal melee damage with a weapon. Effect occurs more often than Unbridled Wrath (Rank 4).
As with furious attacks, I am looking at the words "Effect occurs more often than ". Both this and furious attacks are proc-per-minute based talents, am I correct? If so, then I would assume that each rank of the talent increases the number of procs per minute.
Could someone please provide info on the number of procs per minute that each rank of Unbrideled Wrath, and Furious Attacks give? I have been trying to find these numbers all day, but I'm getting nowhere.... =/

Unbridled Wrath gives a chance to gain 1 Rage whenever a melee hit is landed. It is most useful for warriors who wield two weapons.
You do not have a chance to gain this extra Rage when using attacks that are separate from the swing timer. This means that attacks such as Mortal Strike, Bloodthirst, Whirlwind, and damage dealt from Sweeping Strikes do NOT have a chance to generate extra Rage. However, attacks such as Heroic Strike and Cleave do have a chance to gain extra Rage. In the case of Cleave, it is possible that both targets may generate the extra Rage.
Rank table
Rank & Chance (Procs per minute, 1 proc = 1 rage point)
1/5 = #3 PPM (#6 with two weapons)
2/5 = #6 PPM (12 with two weapons)
3/5 = #9 PPM (18 with two weapons)
4/5 = 12 PPM (24 with two weapons)
5/5 = 15 PPM (30 with two weapons)
The proc chance for each weapon changes depending on his speed, but always keeps 3 ppm per point of talent and weapon.
Here
's a rank table with popular weapon speeds.
Personally I think the best thing you can do is activate the talent
Anger Management
before any point on Unbridled Wrath, since
Anger Management
brings 20 PPM and Unbridled Wrath provides only 6 PPM per rank. My spec in Fury has
Anger Management
and 4/5 Unbridled Wrath.
1/1
AM
+ 4/5 UW: 20 PPM + 24 PPM = 44 PPM
0/1
AM
+ 5/5 UW: #0 PPM + 30 PPM = 30 PPM
Sorry for my english :P

PPM scales entirerly
Procs per minute scales to procs per hit according to weapon speed. Here is the formula:
Procs per hit = (Weapon speed) / (60 / Procs per minute)
which is the same as:
Procs per hit = Weapon speed * Procs per minute / 60
http://www.wowwiki.com/Ppm
Since you're not auto-attacking alone, you're also using abilities. And the % of proccing chance remains the same on an instant attack.
I want to point out that UW does not proc from instant attacks like Mortal Strike, Whirlwind, or Blood Thirst, just on swing timer, so White autos, heroic strike, cleave, etc...
Also always remember, there is a big difference between PPM and PPH
PPH static % per hit
PPM scaled to Weapon speed

So i don't really get this talent. Someone explain to me?
here's what i
Think
it does...
So lets say you hit a target, and
it was gonna generate 5 rage
,
when this procs
it makes
it generate 6 rage?
idk, its doesn't seem attractive to me. But in long run i guess.

Rank 5/5 +40% Chance
As of patch 2.0.10 Unbridled Wrath now has an increased chance to grant rage when using slower weapons. The exact normalization formula is not yet known.

Now has a 3/6/9/12/15 ppm on white or next melee attacks only. For a 1.6-speed weapon, that's the same 8/16/24/32/40% chance per hit as classic's Unbridled Wrath, for a 4.0-speed weapon, Rank 5 has a 100% chance per hit. Scales with expertise > hit > haste, but is rather underwhelming, even when dual wielding. For comparison, Anger Management has a fixed 20 ppm, for a single talent point.
