Although it lacks any kind of defensive stats such as defense Rating, this sword is not bad for tanks who are leveling to 80.

The fast speed, stamina, and hit rating can be excellent for a tank, and at only Honored reputation it is simple enough to get.

That said, this is also a good rogue offhand weapon

Very solid combat rogue off-hand while pushing those last couple levels. And at only honored it's a steal.

Note: The hit on this is about 0.43% of the 80 hit cap for combat (755).

This is a great pre-raid sword for a rogue as well. Sure, there are better out there, such as https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=37255 from Occulus Heroic, but this is easier to get. If you have sour luck with swords dropping in heroics, it might be worth picking this up.

I can confirm that this sword when duel wielded by a hunter is brilliant when using Aspect of the Viper. The mana regen is amazing, you can fill up from empty in no time at all. Its easy to use on mobs coz most WOTLK mobs are weak, but in BGs you can try and mellee someone who is fighting someone else to get the regen. Obviously as a hunter with AoV on you wouldnt mellee any player 1on1 lol. The stats are also good for hunter and the HR kick is great and allowed me to sub out some HR on other gear for crit.

Rep grinding this faction to honoured to get this is easy. All Wyrmrest quests and dailies (there are 3) are gotten from only 2 quest points. One is the obvious Wyrmrest Temple and the other is in Coldarra tn NW Boreen Tundra. Look for the big bubble shield jsut as you enter Coldarra from the south.

If you can group up and also do the dungeon dailies in Coldarra you will get there even faster. I will be grinding WA rep till exalted as i want the Epic red drake flying mount. Nice replacement for my current Skettis one. same speed, but cooler looking. One of the dailies in Wyrnrest temple lets you test drive one as part of the daily.

You may not realize it, but this is actually one of the best Rogue combat off-hand swords available before getting either Grasscutter, Hatestrike, Hailstorm or even Avool's Sword of Jin. Reason? The speed and hit rating coupled with it being a sword make it very, very nice indeed. I even got Maexxna's Femur recently, but Fang of Truth beats it out, despite have over 20dps less and worse stats (besides Hit).

Long story short, buy this sword, along with the Reaper of Dark Souls, and you'll be one happy Rogue.

Honestly. I consider this a grown up Colbalt Slicer.
And the eldest sibling of this lovely sword is here ---> Reaper of Dark Souls
Though, it DOES lack Agility which I believe (opinion) is completely made up for with the extra Attack Power and the Crit.
This is obviously from the point of view of a DW hunter. :P

It actually in my opinion isnt that good. I know im gonna get some complaints but I have to say i do 754-962 damage with a savage cobalt slicer and the fang of truth as an offhand, but I do 465-554 dps with my fang of truth as a main hand. Can anyone here explain why? Not sure if they nerfed it or something.
