Very good damage leggings, although the lack of int hurts a bit with sustained damage.
Although Retribution is a ridiculously stat hungry spec, there is no reason to completely neglect Int, which is a key stat right along side Stam, melee crit%, and AP(gained through Str or straight AP). Without even attempting to gain well-rounded stats, the spec fails.
Far too much emphasis on +damage and healing on this item. Could cut it by 1/3 or even 1/2 and add in +Int for the adjusted balance of stat points... Not that any Retribution Paladins will ever see it.
You make it sound like there aren't other slots that are available for +Int items. Because of the enormous amount of DPS stats on this, it's possible to swap out other slots for items with more +Int and the like.
I sooooo need these leggings. Who gives a damm about no intelect on them legs. You don't need intelect since it's not like your gonna use a retribution paladin on a raids...
Really these are so damm awsome o/
Spelldamage and AP scale equally in PvE, and with a constant spam of consecration you would actually benefit more from spelldamage than AP (rank 1, of course).
Compared to Lightbringer Greaves (
) - paladin tier 6 dps
Leggings of Divine Retribution
-1 socket (-2 hit rating socket bonus)
-3 crit rating
-9 mana per 5
The difference is pretty big, with tier 6 winning
if i had these i would respec retri asap
These have been changed in the last patch, i have them on my paladin.
They now have :
Equip : Your attacks ignore 350 of the opponents armor.
instead of the 60 damage/healing. god i'm pissed.
Not completely sold on how useful armor penetration is for a paladin. It would affect about 70% of the damage we deal. If you dont want to waste dkp on a raid drop, an easy way to see how you like the armor pen stat is run blood furnace for
These ones got a new look in 2.2 uploaded a pic of it.
Kinda blue like instead of clown looks.
For a dps warrior, the only comparable legs are:
Onslaught Greaves (
Legguards of Endless Rage (
As to which of the 3 legs are the best? It depends what stats you want really. The endless rage are item level 151, the onslaught and divine retribution are item level 141.
Theorycraft maths says that the Divine Retribution win overall. From personal experience though, I'd rate the Onslaught as just slightly better due to set bonuses.
"If you're an MS warrior or Ret paladin Divine Retribution is definitely prefered as you'll most likely have enough +hit from your other items"
As an Arms warrior I can confirm this - these are my favorite of the three. Though, sadly, my S3 legs (
) are close enough that I'm not going to drop too much DKP on these. Switching to these I lose 12 crit and 12 hit to gain 266 armor penetration. An upgrade, but not a massive one.
Now, the S4 legs (currently on the PTR, so assuming the stats don't change) (
) are better than these - they still have 266 less armor penetration but have 18 more hit, 18 more crit, and 6 more strength.
The amount of armor pen on these leggings make them better than T6 or the Legguards of Endless Rage.
From what I gather, most warriors like to have a comfortable cushion above the special hit cap, just because there are certain instances where your whites just need to hit. I pay a fury warrior, and I run with about 250 hit, a decent chuck of which coming from my Destroyer Greaves. But this much armor penetration on one item? Sheesh, these should NEVER be passed on by a dps warrior that doesn't have them, they are incredible. The only instance I would say no to these is if you have Legguards of Endless Rage, and even then these would almost definately take the cake.
Leggings of the Immortal Night are a good compromise if you need +hit, but you also want ArP. However its Sunwell gear, so you'd have to surpass "...Endless Rage" and "Divine Retribution" if you want those. I'd take Divine Retribution overall as a 2h dpser.
Amazing Arms warrior legs...
when you see the word "divine" in its name, you would think these are pally legs, lol
