Intellect - This is by far the best stat to increase your sustain as a Holy 牧师, as It increases our crit chance, spirit-based mana regeneration, maximum mana and through that mana gained from certain abilites, including 暗影魔. Mp5 and Spirit are quite good for that as well but provide less value comparatively.

Haste Rating - As your sustain at this point is fairly great, you can opt for more haste trade-offs to be able to react to raid damage quicker.

Spell Power - While this will be on almost all of your gear anyway, it's still a reliable stat for increasing your throughput, though not quite as impactful as haste.

Crit Rating - It's not quite as important as haste since you passively get a decent amount from intellect, but Crit is still worth taking on certain high value pieces, such as 傲慢护腿.

勇气纹章 are a version of 英雄纹章, which is obtained by killing bosses in 25-man raids. The main vendors you can exchange these at to obtain gear are 魔导师布拉塞尔 for the Horde and 奥术师埃杜林 for the Alliance.

九尾狐的斗篷 and 魔法导能指环 provide the most value and should be your first purchases.

勇猛的信仰肩垫 and 勇猛的信仰护腿 are technically the next best emblem pieces but could be skipped as getting the tokens or better alternatives from your raid isn't too unlikely.

圣光便鞋 are still a relatively good deal, considering how long it will take to replace them.

暗影优势裹腕 are a decent piece by itself, but quite expensive at 60 emblems. However, since it's BoE you could technically purchase it off the Auction House or buy it on an alt and transfer it to your main.

The turn-in item for 生命誓缚者颈饰 provides BiS necklaces for nearly all specs in your raid, so in most guilds healers will end up with low priority on it.

However, the 10-man version, 红龙军团颈链, isn't considerably worse so you can simply opt for that one instead without missing out on much.

While the personal stat gain from 夜晚之眼 and 夜枭之链 is low, they provide spell power or crit rating to your party, technically making them the best for overall raid benefit.

护魂者 is the upgraded version of 格鲁尔之眼 and provides a ridiculous amount of mana due to some interactions with our multi-target heals, making it worth around 130 to 190 mp5 on a PoH-heavy encounter, depending on which spells you use it on. Tracking the procs with a Weakaura to then use as many as possible on CoH and PoH is the way to get as much value as possible out of it.

While all the regular benefits of 暗月卡片：伟大 like additional spirit-based mana regeneration, crit rate and maximum mana aren't too complicated, many abilities in WotLK provide a certain percentage of your total mana as regeneration, some good examples are 全神贯注, 恢复, 暗影魔, 希望圣歌, and potentially even 法力之潮 or 奥术洪流. Considering this, it's important to track the proc ICD with a Weakaura so that you can use it to get a lot of extra mana from your Shadowfiend, which is necessary to get the most out of the trinket.

The static mana gained from your 暗影魔 and the extra maximum mana makes up a large amount of the mana it provides, but it also roughly grants you 20 mp5 of spirit-based mana regeneration and 30 mp5 from 恢复.

However, as it's likely to be fairly expensive, 雕像 - 蓝宝石猫头鹰 is a great alternative if you are a Jewelcrafter, but otherwise 亡者之魂 and 巨龙雕像 are decent too.

Finally, an important distinction to make is the fact that spell power gained from proc trinket like 熔炉的灰烬 is significantly worse than static spellpower gained from items like 精魄 due to the risk of the buff activating at a bad time, for example, during pre-casts at the start of the fight when damage tends to be low, as well as the higher spell power preventing you from overwriting your shields unless they completely break.

I got a question. The trinket Spirit-World Glass is not on your list. Isn't it any good with baseline Spirit +activate?

Is maximizing Spirit also a viable approach? It'll gets you 25% spell power and increased manareg?

Did something change dramatically between Wrath from 2008 and Wrath Classic? Seeing a guide recommend pure int gemming on a holy priest is throwing me, especially since Wrath Classic is playing with 3.3.5 class balance & talents.

@ryegeleye It just boils down to Holy being very mana-constricted and our scaling with other stats being fairly lacking. Crit seems great until you consider the 6s internal cooldown on Surge of Light (as well as it easily proccing of multi-target spells regardless) and Holy Concentration only triggering off certain spells. Spirit is decent but not quite as good as Intellect when you take all the perks it gives into account, namely extra spirit-based regeneration, additional crit chance and higher maximum mana (resulting in more value gained from spells like Shadowfiend, Hymn of Hope, Replenishment or potentially even Mana Tide).

As for why it's so different to what people did originally or on private servers, I'd guess it's a result of healer itemization not mattering as much as simply playing well and pressing your buttons. Both in 2008 and now, most guilds simply bring more healers than the content requires as the opportunity cost of that is low, so minor gearing differences like your gemming will hardly make or break a fight. With Intellect being a primary stat, it's not like you can actually completely avoid it either.

Also, just look at things like the Soul Preserver trinket that was completely overlooked by pserver/og wrath players and worked the same way back then despite ranging from fairly good (hpriest, rsham, rdruid) to BiS for essentially the whole expansion (hpal).

That said, full intellect gemming is mainly intended to put you in a good spot for T8 progression, so during T7 it's not exactly mandatory if your sustain is good enough.
