This could be a reference to sir Lancelot du Lac, one of King Arthurs knights of the Round Table of Arthurian legend.

He is perhaps most known for his partaking in the quest for the Holy Grail, a legendary item later aquired by his son, the gallant knight sir Galahad.

Defeated the Org. Valiant 3 times today and it did not count towards the achievement. I went on to defeat every other horde faction valiant and they did count.

Very easy

- Shield stack to 3 (refresh back from 2 if you happen to get one taken from you, should never get down to 1)
- Stay in melee range till your opponent decides to retreat for a charge, be spamming your melee attack (1) while you wait
- As soon as you see them retreat, quickly back up until you're at the min range to shield break, do it and follow up with a charge ASAP
- If all goes to plan you will get your charge off before they even get a shield break off and go back to trying to melee though your 3 stack shield.
- Repeat till dead
- ?
- Profit

you have to do dailys for 3 days to become a valliant , pick up the quests and start besting riders from other factions, horde riders will be found at : 75,25. while u will find alliance riders at:75,18.
u can only challenge riders if u have the quest (the grand melee).

Wowwiki has some great pointers on how to beat the riders of each of the 10 factions. As said before, they all have different strategies and tricks to them.

This is achievable at any time during the daily Grand Melee quest. Alliance and horde have separate training areas which is where you need to do this. The horde is done at "The Horde Valiant's Ring" at 75,26, the alliance is done at "The Alliance Valiant's Ring" at 75,18. People who have been struggling to do this achievement have probably been speaking to the NPC's at The Ring Of Champions at 72,24 where it is not possible.

just a hint for some ppl who fail at this ..u can actually have someone else dps the npc ur dueling while u run around kiting ti and having shields up as long as he's not in your party..^_^ i helped alot from horde and alliance ..then everybody start doing it ..so i guess things will be changed in the future

Spot on! New to the quest today, I failed to kill any rider for about 30 minutes & was ready to quit. I then tried this ^^ & went on to get the achievement in about 45 minutes. While it's true that riders seemingly have differing tactics, using Baghwan's technique I was able to kill one of each rider fairly easily, mostly on the first try.

Only difference - I didn't shield break (SB) before charging because I didn't want to have to do anything other than charge as soon as the button lit, but you can SB after the charge as you wheel round, before entering melee again. I suppose you may do slightly less damage but it still worked & I wasn't confident enough to faff about retreating, then SB then charge all before the npc charged me. It was easier for me to just charge ASAP then SB after,

Stack 3 defence buffs before you challenge, then stand behind the npc (facing forward) so when they walk off to enter combat, you can charge as soon as the button lights. As your mount wheels round, fire off a quick shield break then enter melee combat. If you melee the opponent until they walk off, then repeat the charge etc, you should do OK. As above, keep your 3 shield up at all times.

you can actually get this in one day, as defeating them, throwing away the quest items, abandoning and re-getting the quest allows u to fight all in one day.

This is obviously a pun on the name Lancelot.
-Sir Lancelot was one of the Knights of the Round Table.
-He is typically considered to be one of the greatest and most trusted of King Arthur's knights, and plays a part in many of Arthur's victories.
