Quite simply one of, if not the, best-looking Alliance-themed plate sets put into WoW. Expensive and time-consuming to assemble 7/8 pieces (the bracers are not needed) for full transmog, but worth it.

One quibble is that the helmet does not fully cover the neck; it's only a small bit of neck that's visible, but it looks goofy. Another minor issue that the swinging bit on the belt clips into tabards. 暴風城腰帶 looks quite good with the set if you don't like the belt.

EDIT (2/2/2015): I've paired the full set with 神聖戰刃 until (or if) Admiral Taylor' Greatsword is made transmoggable; it matches the colors and is a large, yet, non-ridiculous, utilitarian sword, and 永凍斗篷 as it picks up on the jewels and is frankly the most beautiful cape they've designed so far. The blue is a little brighter than the armor, but it works.

EDIT (2/13/2015): 吉爾尼斯披肩 is absolutely perfect in terms of color and look, but it's a short cloak. :(

For those who are interested in investing time and resources to make all of this set, MINUS the bracers, I have calculated the raw material costs to make the entire set, MINUS the bracers!

Please Note: These material costs are assuming you wish to make all pieces, MINUS the bracers, up to Stage 3 of 6 (as of Patch 6.2). If you plan to upgrade 3 of these items beyond the third stage, the numbers provided below will not reflect that. The numbers below are updated for the major crafting overhaul introduced in 6.2.

Since you'll need all 640 armor pieces to start, MINUS the bracers, that will require 700 Truesteel Ingots, which you can get from 87.5 rounded to 88 Research Days (assuming 8 ingots per research). This translates to:
1760 True Iron Ore and 880 Blackrock Ore

Other Material Costs to make individual armor pieces include:
11 Sumptuous Fur
10 Raw Beast Hide
15 True Iron Ore

Now to Upgrade all your Stage 1 Armor to Stage 2, you'll need:
7 Truesteel Essences - This will require:
490 Truesteel Ingots - as of Patch 6.2, you only need 70 truesteel ingots per essence. So 8 ingots/research day for 61.25 days, round that to 62) ---> 1240 True Iron Ore and 620 Blackrock Ore
105 Sorcerous Earth
105 Savage Blood

One more stage to go :)

Now to Upgrade All your Stage 2 Armor to Stage 3, you'll need:
7 Truesteel Essences, as the Greater Essences are obsolete - This will require:
490 Truesteel Ingots - Same thing as above. 62 research days, 8 ingots per day ---> 1240 True Iron Ore and 620 Blackrock Ore
105 Sorcerous Earth
105 Savage Blood

TL;DR
To start from scratch to getting all Stage 3 of 3 plate armor, MINUS bracers, you'll need (in total):

I. 4,255 True Iron Ore
II. 2,120 Blackrock Ore
III. 210 Sorcerous Earth
IV. 210 Savage Blood
V. 10 Raw Beast Hides
VI. 11 Sumptuous Fur

Since Patch 6.2 was released, it is MUCH EASIER/LESS TIME CONSUMING to get to Stage 3 of 6 if you only care about the cosmetic value of this armor. And the reason for the simplification is because the later stages 5 and 6 require a HEFTY amount of Felblight, Sorcerous Fire, and Truesteel Ingots for upgrading 3 armor pieces to highest stage possible.

Although the numbers above say that it will take you ~212 days to get Stage 3 of 6 armor (minus bracers), once again, the numbers above assume you were getting 8 truesteel ingots/day due to the research value doubled from 4 ingots/day to 8 ingots/day in 6.2. Obviously, you will be getting MORE than 8 on a daily basis if you're at 700 Blacksmithing AND you have a Level 100 Blacksmith follower helping you double your work orders. From what I've observed, I am now getting 4 ingots per works order with a level 100 follower. My research is providing me 22 ingots at 700 Blacksmith, and Riddle of Truesteel provides 2 ingots for every 1 primal spirit + 5 true iron + 5 blackrock ore, in case I want to reduce my days of waiting. And let's not forget your Garrison Missions that provide rush orders.

So yeah, you will DEFINITELY get this entire set in less than 212 days.

In order to craft the entire transmog set you will need 7x of each upgrade token. You don't need to craft bracers.

7x Steelforged Essence -

210 sorcerous earth
105 savage blood
1050 Truesteel Ingots:
Daily CD + Work Orders -
10x A day crafted - 20 Truesteel, 10 Blackrock
12x a day work order - 30 Truesteel
22x Ingot / Day = 48 days, 2400 Truesteel, 480 Blackrock
Riddle of Truesteel -
5x Truesteel/Blackrock Ore + 1 Primal Spirit = 1 Ingot
1050x 5 = 5250 Both types of Ore, 1050 Primal Spirit

Set the base cost of crafting this set to the amount it takes to craft through dailies/work orders. Each day you want to eliminate through using the Riddle of Truesteel adds 100 Blackrock ore, 60 Truesteel ore, and 22 Primal Spirits to your cost (22x Truesteel Ingot =110 of each ore+22 Primal spirits, compared to 50 Truesteel and 10 Blackrock) . If you wanted to say, craft the entire thing yourself in a month you would eliminate 82 days from the crafting time. You would need to do your daily cds, keep work orders going, and obtain 1804 Truesteel Ingots through the Riddle of Truesteel craft. That would be 9020 x Blackrock/Truesteel Ore and 1804 Primal Spirits for the riddles and 1500 Truesteel ore + 300 Blackrock ore for your daily crafts / work orders.

Total to craft in 30 days: 10520 Truesteel ore, 9320 Blackrock ore, 1804 Primal Spirit.

This set just looks absolutely fantastic! And to make it even better, add the 鋼鑄軍刀 and the 鋼鑄聖禦盾. I just made the full set with the saber and aegis with blacksmithing and it was gold well spent.

Death Knights are really lucky with weapons since they have 黯刃巨劍 which works amazingly well with this set; making Warriors and Paladins everywhere jealous.

Hello guys/gals

I am wanting to create and wear this truesteel armor set how would I go about this as atm I can only equip 3 items of this set and I want to be able to wear it as a set.

If you want a matching cape for the stage 3/6 etc set, try the Perfectly Balanced Cape (Quest), or it's variant, the Shifting Cloak (LW-crafted)

I love this set except for the boots. They look awful -- cement shoes/boat anchors/clodhoppers/what have you. I can't stand them as they look like bad foam-rubber props.

But I've had no luck finding a proper boot for this set that actually looks like something that could be walked in and matches the set.

Any suggestions?

I highly recommend using 強力咒織披風 as the cape. When upgraded to level 2, it has a very nice gold and blue colour scheme that fits right in with the armor set.

For my Alliance brothers and sisters out there, I also recommend using 雄獅之牙複製品 and 雄獅之心複製品 to finish off that "Champion of the Alliance" look. This is the full set I'm using on my Pally tank and it looks absolutely amazing. Makes me feel like a proper tank.
