The only reason maelstrom crystals are expensive is there is no easy way to get them atm. Other than a raid DE or valor token/crafted epic DE. Atm these are still in demand so very few people will DE an epic for the crystal. Patch 4.1 introduces Zul'Gurub and Zul'Aman 5man heroic dungeons which will drop epic-quality loot (most likely off the last boss only). As soon as this patch comes out maelstrom crystals will take a nose dive in price. Just wait until 4.1 and everyone will be able to afford this enchant. Unless you absolutely MUST have it now, I would just wait it out and pick up the crystals which will probably go for 700g or less and eventually 250 and under in a few weeks after 4.1 goes live. Everyone and their grandmother will have maelstrom crystals from all the 5man heroic DE's.

Imo the best enchant for a tanking druid (compared to 50 dodge one).

50 Agility gives you:

(1/244)*50~0,204% Dodge
(1/325)*50~0,153% Crit
2*50=100 AP

While 50 dodge gives you

(1/177)*50~0,282% Dodge

Atleast until Heroic Raiding, where dodge becomes better and better.

There is currently a bug that does not allow you to use this enchant on bracers lower than 300 ilvl. You receive an error message stating 'Target is too low level' when attempting to do this. It's a shame because this enchant is one of the best for agility using twinks. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.
