It's like combo points in that it increases the effect of certain abilities and spells, but it is unlike it in that they are not target locked, and also in that they expire after a determined amount of time currently (I think we are in 12694 at the time of this post.)

Expect a new UI in-game to support this actually, more or less akin to the DK Rune system or the new Lock Shard system.

In the tooltips for Seals. It actually multiplies the final damage from other sources by how many Holy power you have.

No mak484, you've got it wrong, because "holy power" from tooltips in SoR, Exo and Cons stands for holy spell power and not our new "combo points"

Seal damage would seem to be dependent on our Holy Spell Power (basically our spell power) as opposed to our 'holy combo points.' Makes sense too given the tooltip description:

Fills the Paladin with holy spirit for 30 min, granting each single-target melee attack (MWS * (0.022 * AP.044 * holy power)) additional Holy damage. Only one Seal can be active on the Paladin at any one time.

Should holy power refer to how many 'combo points' we have at the time would create a very sporadic damage/threat output by both Ret and Prot Pallies - enough so that I think it's pretty clear that "holy power" in that tooltip refers to our spell power, especially when you compare it to the SoR tooltip in-game now:

Holy power stacks to 3
While out of combat one stack will get remove per 10sec(unless you refresh it with a heal)

I have a question about holy power and how it is generated.

Does the attack / ability used to generate this have to hit and/or deal damage for the effect to trigger a point generation? Or, worded slightly differently, if my attack misses, gets parried, gets blocked, or gets dodged, will I still generate the holy power simply by using the listed abilities that generate holy power?
