If you've already got a flying mount, you can wait this curse out by flying over any part of the zone that is only twisting nether below you (ie all the spaces between the islands). Note: Fly! Don't hover. If you hover, the shadow horrors this curse spawns will use you as a platform, stand on you and beat on you until your flying mount despawns. If this happens happens while you're between islands, it's an insta-death.
