Took me a while to realize my problem on this fight. The lava is black and red. So the black lava will kill you as much as red. For the entire time i've been playing this game lava = red, never seen black lava before. The graphics in this game really are terrible sometimes.

He has rocks around him you can stand on if you are melee (or to loot him). If you are range it's super easy, just stand on rocks far away from him. Again, just be aware of black moving lava.

I'm not sure if its simply due to my tiny gnome feet or not, but I am having a hard time jumping up onto the stone platforms! I even get stuck under the edges of them sometimes =(

Once again proving Blizzard hates melee dps. This guy doesn't hit particularly hard, but if you're melee you're screwed because the platforms vanish quite quickly meaning you're spending most of the fight jumping around or taking 14k damage a tick from lava. Also sometimes the platforms don't register at all or vanish before they appear to vanish leading you to take massive damage from the bloody lava.

This is a pretty tough fight as melee. I came back as level 100 and even still could barely do it before I died to the aoe, the rocks must be bugged because even if you stand directly on them you still take damage and on top of that hardly any of his attacks hit you if you stand out of melee range. Strange little encounter...

Go up the lava flow until you see the fire elemental. There should be a rock called the firefury stone that will change the cursor to a gear symbol. you click on it to spawn the firefury giant.

the rocks are still bugged and will get you lava damage even when standing on them

I went back to kill this guy at level 100 with my DPS warrior... tried and died multiple times. Found a super easy way to do it -- if you have a nuclear bomb device from your garrison Gnomish Gearworks, you can stand on the (regular) rocks a ways away from him and paint the target on him. Detonation = dead. Then just fly over and loot him (or hop over, if you can't fly).
