難忍者納特法 is located in the The Azure Span zone.

General Respawn Info
Only part of Dragonflight rares are active during a single daily reset.
Most of the time you will be able to find only small part of all zone rares and they will respawn after kill in relatively short time.
But after daily reset they will disappear and a new pack of rares will be active.
So most of the time you will come to the spot and see nothing there. At least this way it was on Beta

Rare is a part of 蒼藍高地冒險者 achievement.

You need to damage him down slowly while killing the slimes that come out of him, once he reached about 30% a Gutrot Slime spawned and I received credit once I killed that slime.
I found him in the cave at 21, 50 (/way The Azure Span:Dragon Isles 21, 50)
There was no star on the minimap.

If you're a Monk don't Touch of Death him. It bugged him out at 0%. Seems like he has to progressively summon out more more slimes to get the last one to trigger properly. The Gutrot Slime came out around 20% for me.

If you are ranged, make sure you stay in the cave. He healed back up if I went out of it, even if I was still in combat with slimes.

Gutrot Slime is currently bugged and is not dropping Notfar's Favorite Food. The toy is set to drop from Notfar, but Notfar does not die, Gutrot Slime is what dies. The same bug happened with the end boss of Uldaman for the weekly. Please report this and get it fixed!

I think I have checked this cave over 50 times since the expac launched and have never seen this rare. Any ideas on spawn time/day?

EDIT, Notfar is still in the game, and does indeed spawn. His cave is at: 21, 50.

Can confirm the toy is now dropping! Just looted it from the Gutrot Slime

Tons of information missing here, either that or things have changed.

If you get far from him, he resets. And I don't mean very far at all.

The slimes come out of him pretty frequently and they explode, you need to stay away from them as they die.

I couldn't figure out what caused them to come out of him. I was a rogue and put bleeds on him so that could be it, they were coming out too fast. I finally got down to the last slime and got too far away from him and it reset.

Another badly tested mess... I mean who designs this stuff. Let's put this mob in a small cave, let's have exploding slimes come out of him, but let's make it so if you move far away from him (to get away from the exploding slimes)
he resets.

I switched to my DH and just brute forced him down. No toy dropped though.

If you burst him down too quickly, the slime that ends the fight and drops loot may not spawn. Instead, take some time to kill the slimes as they spawn.

I just ran into him and came here after getting him down to 0% and he wouldn't die. DPS Arms Warrior - he's pretty easy to handle if you just kill slimes and let your group damage and bleeds take him down until that gutrot slime come out. After that he says he's feeling better and leaves as a NPC and the slime drops the toy that let's you fart with a 5 min cooldown.

If you screw up just run out of the cave towards the water and he'll reset.

Coming in late in the expansion i was not able to complete the rare since if you burst him down the mob that actually drops loot and finished the event won't spawn.
You should feel free to dps him down to 30% then just kill all slimes not dropping his health. The final slime SHOULD spawn when he is at about 20% HP
I had it happen that i dropped him under 10% and the final slime wouldn't spawn at all and had to reset.

I sat in the cave for about 5 minutes reading these posts and he spawned, I think the key might be sit around and wait? lol

take it slow - I'm a druid so I just put moonfire on him and then didn't touch him. Wait for the blobs to spawn (attached a screenshot of the blobs) - they seem to spawn maybe every 10-25%, and there will be 2 - 3 with each wave. Don't be discouraged if it takes bit for the next ones to spawn, be patient. The final blob is called a gutrob slime, if that spawns, you've done everything right.

Don't burst him down, just take it easy and then enjoy your toy :)

After a few tries, this is what worked for me:

1) Unequip your weapon and any on-proc AOE or damage dealing abilities or gear.
2) Punch Notfar for 10-20% at a time, then focus down individually the slimes that got spawned.
3) After slimes are dead, punch Notfar again. Repeat the step until he is at 30ish %
4) Carefully punch him down to just below 20%! Don't go too low, sweetspot is around 15-19%.
5) The Gutrot slime spawns. Kill it and loot.
