Long have the Trogg been a thorn in the side of the Gnomes and Dwarves.

While the 石齶擊顱者 have taken over the above ground area at Gol'Bolar Quarry, the 石齶斷骨者 have taken over most of the mine itself. It has been many a year since the Dwarves have worked this mine without the Trogg interfering. 該死的穴居怪! requires you to kill 8 石齶斷骨者.

There are 3 above ground, of which 2 guard the ramp into the quarry. There are another 19-20 spots in the cave that are shared with 石齶擊顱者. Only the 2 spots at the ramp are guaranteed to spawn 石齶斷骨者. I think the one at the cave entrance always spawns 石齶斷骨者 but every adventurer seems to kill him before I verify.

The 該死的穴居怪! quest has been in the game since 2006 (or earlier), so in game time that would be about 40 years (or more). 公僕 makes seem that this is more recent happening. My in-game guess is that, over the years, the Trogg have been driven out, the Dwarves get the mine running again, dig into another cave area, and the Trogg return in force.

Before Cataclysm, the Troggs were a lot more dangerous. With a hard hitting attack, wickedly large aggro range, and the ability to call for help, any adventurer venturing into the pit had to be aware and prepared. I personally remember the days that you would form a quick group to do this quest. Today, you can aggro several and easily survive as long as you are the right level.

Every so often, a non aggressive pack of Troggs will spawn near the cave entrance, walk up the ramp, and engage the Dwarves at the top. There were 2 石齶斷骨者 in this group. I never got to fight them, so they are not included in this run.
