This is the Dreamgrove Great Eagle in Val'sharah that forms part of the Eagle Flight Network around the outer edge of The Broken Isles. At level 105 a Hunter is able pick the advancement Eagle Ally at Tier 2 of the Class Hall Advancements. Once research has completed the Hunter is able to make use of all the Eagles that form an additional circular flight route around The Broken Isles which is free and operates separately to the traditional discovered flight paths.

Some Great Eagles are accessible from the ground: Some of these are easy to get to, others may take a bit of determination.

This Great Eagle resides behind the Druid Class Hall area. Flying to it gives you the glide path into Val'sharah directly over the area, which will give you a debuff with the message that "you are not supposed to be here."

You get ported to the road just before the Class Hall area I presume.

I have not figured out why this Great Eagle point exists... it's not an ingress point (not likely going to get taken to it from the Flight Master Whistle, not conveniently at least, with the regular flight points being closer to any content), and with the inability to glide long distance because of the Druid area, I have to ask-

Why is this even here?
