Adders are a common-name subtype of snake. Snakes - and especially Adders specifically - often feature in folklore and myth, usually as sly or cunning evildoers.

There is also a Lord Blackadder played by Rowan Atkinson (somewhat more commonly known as Mr. Bean) on BBC's Blackadder, but given that it's a character among many I'd say he could use some special dialogue to show it goes beyond general reference. Never know, though!

Demon form: 愛德領主

Roams around Dalaran as a ~~blood elf~~ High Elf NPC. I was able to turn him into his demon form using the 提爾之眼 ability from the protection paladin artefact shield 真理之盾. Before that, his demon status was revealed through the ability 聖光顯形 / 聖光顯形 with a buff called Truthseeker.

He has about 114 million HP at level 110. ~~His level seems to scale with level and amount of attacking players.~~ Fighting him at level 100 ~~with about 10-15 others~~ his health was at around 41 million.

His main abilities are

A curse that causes ~ 400k shadow damage after its duration and knocks players into the air.
A shadow bolt volley that can not be interrupted.
A interruptable life drain on multiple targets.

He dropped one 驍士的榮耀, a bit of silver and some 凝結的魔化血液. On live he also drops 大廳資源.

Demon hunters can reveal demons with their 靈視 spell.

Other known hidden demons: 亞蒙德‧薩科, 達瑞爾, 霍克斯, 『漫遊者』霍克

As an Outlaw Rogue, I was able to Bribe him, and make him my minion for 5 minutes, as it seems he retains his "Humanoid" classification even when exposed. Nobody else could attack him, though he also would not attack my targets for some reason. He just followed me around.

Just killed him in Dalaran (Broken Isles). He hits very hard, killed me twice on my alt, who is a 100 demonology Warlock. I haven't started my artifact weapon quests yet so he just dropped a Sticky Volatile Substance (junk) and 70 Order Resources.

Aparently, if you use the Crystaline Eye of Undravius when fighting with him,he turns into a red draenei

Saw him with my lvl 109 prot warrior, i.lvl 779, an attackable NPC just walking around. I wanted to see what happens if I hit him, and turned out to be a little tiny fun moment. Lots of players joined in and dps'ed him down. He transformed into a demon later on. His draining life skill is easy to interrupt and the damage he does is easy to block with ignore pain and shield block. Dropped Congealed Felblood and 85 Order Hall Resources.
Would appreciate more lore behind a character that is freely walking around Dalaran and turns out to be a demon.

If you're a Prot Pally, 真理之盾 will start humming and give a visual coming from the shield when you're in close proximity to certain NPC's. If you target Lord Adder and use 提爾之眼 on him, it will expose him as a demon.

Cool thing. As of this post he states "...have you been inside the violent hold..." instead of violet. Maybe cool to you, maybe not, but I always like little typos (if it isn't intended to be one) in games.

I am a lvl110 Prot Pally ilvl 779 and every time I call Lord Adder out, all I get when he is dead is Sticky Volatile Substance! Nothing else, Not even Resorces! Kinda upsets me that he is that lvl and Elite and drops an item worth about 21 silver and nothing else for me. I have called him out multi-times (approx. 20) using Eye of Tyr when it pops ( The Light Reveals). Does this happen to a lot of peeps or am I just that unlucky?

It's an interesting fight the first time, particularly because of the curse and the life drain, meaning that you'll be losing health almost all the time during the fight, but not from him (except indirectly). Not a big deal for self-healing classes but pretty tough for others. And the most fun thing of all is that once in a blue moon he will drop a voucher for a Mercedes SL450 Roadster. It's a sponsorship thing from MB USA. Of course I'm kidding; he drops absolutely nothing except a headache.

He just dropped Archimonde's Hatred Reborn and Soul of the Huntmaster for me (Prot Paladin) and a Hunter that helped me out, respectively.
I'm not usually specced Prot, so this was my first time seeing this encounter.
