秘法師克達納茲 is one of the great heros of Suramar who unfortunately suffered a terrible fate. Once a great Arcanist NightBorne Night Elf of Suramar, he spent his life trying to find a cure for the "withered" Nightfallen (i.e. rebel outcasts of Suramar). Suramar in the Broken Isles, (part of the Legion Expansion) was a city that had built a shield around itself to protect itself from the Sundering which split Azeroth into two continents. For 10000 years the city lived under the shield cut off from the world. Without a food source, the Night Elves of the city who called themselves Nightborne built the Nightwell font which tapped Arcane energies from Leylines energy waves below Azeroth's surface and transformed the Arcane magical energies into a highly addictive consumable liquid form called which replaced their food supply. Any Nightborne who rebelled were outcast from the city. These rebels called themselves the Nightfallen. Cut off from their supply of , the Nightfallen went into withdrawel. In time their tortured souls eventually lost their minds and they became "withered" Nightfallen, (i.e. walking zombies) that attacked any hapless creature they came across. Arcanist Kel'danath sought a cure for the withered. Although he did not find a cure, he did discover a way to calm the withered for awhile using a 克達納茲的法術石 spell. Unfortunately, Arcanist Kel'danath also succumbed to the curse and became a withered himself. Players, however, recover the arcanist's 克達納茲的法術石 found in 克達納茲的背包 during the 石中秘文 quest. Using a 克達納茲的法術石 spell derived from 克達納茲的法術石, players can hold off the withered mobs and build an army of them to reconquer Suramar, all thanks to 秘法師克達納茲 ingenious discovery.

05:19:12 - Kel'danath is such a noble and caring being. Even at the edge of losing his sanity it seems he thought to release those in his charge before descending into madness. I hope to reach him in time

05:37:23 - I stood comatose for what seemed like ages pondering my actions. Unable to face the innocent life I had abruptly ended I turned away from it's now motionless vessel. In my deep state of sorrow I did not hear (or feel) Kel'danath's resurrection and retaliation against my transgression.... A close call, but I have escaped relatively unscathed. It appears these withered share the same special powers as myself and other heroes of Azeroth. I am extremely relieved at this fortuitous outcome and have resolved myself to continue Kel'danath's work with the hopes of finding a cure for him and the rest of the withered.
