seems like this is definately a less popular gem type since the changes to gems at the end of wrath/start of cata. even more-so than green (dream emerald)..

on neptulon EU these in uncut form are currently selling for as low as 9gold a piece, and in cut forms of haste and mastery they'r selling as little as 15-18g ..

if you're going to buy a JC design for amberjewel to cut the gems for sales, i would avoid fractured amberjewel and quick amberjewel and go for something like smooth, subtle or mystic. smooth (crit) goes for 100-150, subtle (dodge) 90+, and mystic (resilience) are going for 70+

got mine today in deepholm from an elementium vein first blue gem nothing on wowhead so definatly seems to be a random drop amongst obsidium veins etc. etc.

Nothing really I've found to do with these gems. At least with Dream Emerald I can turn them into the BiS scopes, but these are on the AH for 3g a piece when the cut gems vendor for a touch more, and nobody buys them cut (except maybe resil, but I haven't bought that recipe yet).

I would suggest if these are REALLY cheap, you can make the Bloodthirsty ring to level up your JC. Rather than buying the meta gems.

You also have a chance of receiving this item in a 奇特神秘背袋. You can get the Satchel by que'ing for a Cata Heroic Dungeon by yourself only when the Dungeon Finder shows that you can get the Satchel.
