Who doesn't want their shirt to give them a buff?

Everybody knows that Pink shirts are the best tanking shirts... however a Pink and embroidered shirt that also buffs the wearer is complete overkill. Everybody that sees you will also note your awesome Ribbon you ripped from a raid boss's pet and now wear as your own garment, because you'll be walking around sporting the "Best in Show" tag. You'll split the crotch of your pants because that e-peen can't help but swell with pride.

Undoubtedly this is THE must-have shirt that all raiders will want, well into ~~Cataclysm~~ Mists of Pandaria.

I just got this item. It is indeed a shirt and pink. When you wear it you gain a new icon in your buff bar: Precious's Ribbon "Best in Show". It has no other effect or buff that I've seen. Just a fun item that can drop.

Unless Fun Fact: Oddly the buff does not appear when your toon is dead.

got this tonight off the "trash mob" precious(http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=37217) in 25 man ICC's plaugeworks wing.

The boss has a small chance to drop 1 shirt for one person in the raid, it can be master looted. If the rarity is set to "Rare(blue quality or above)" The shirt can be looted by who ever's turn it is to loot that mob, there will be a warning that it will bind to you when its picked up. It is worth it to note that once the shirt is looted it CANNOT BE TRADED through the in game BoP trading system. Once its looted, its stuck with you unless a GM sends it to someone else or something.

If your guild is super concerned about making sure this goes to the right person you should set loot to "uncommon" quality at least just for this part of trash.

When worn gives the buff: http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=70404 which does nothing at the moment

It doesnt dissapear on zoning out or logging.

according to the WoW armory it has a droprate listed as "Very Low" with 5-15%

It can drop in 10 and 25 man, most likely in heroic too.

It has no bearing on getting any debuff from either boss.

It is simply a vanity item

Its a sleeveless version of the pink mageweave shirt looks wise.

This item drops off the "trash" mob Precious on both 10 and 25-man raid sizes.
These trash mobs are linked to their respective bosses (Stinky to Festergut and Precious to Rotface), so they will not respawn if you kill their big abominations (parents?).
This shirt will give you a buff Precious's Ribbon which does NOTHING and makes this item a vanity item such as Haunted Memento which is cool to have but useless ;).

Well, was Valanos an individual, or were the Valanos a group? If the latter, Valanos' is definitely correct. If the former, it could go either way (as several others have noted above). This item dropped tonight in our ICC 10 run. However the loot was set to Rare.

I let everyone roll on it but was unable to give it to the winner. I was the only one able to pick it and it is BoP. And even though ML was enabled, all other green items could be picked up by anyone who got it in their drops.

No Trade timer either.

So just hold out. If it happens to drop for you like any other mob in ICC it will just take time.

Acually, it's because the majority of the time, Precious drops only gold. The Wowhead add-on does not count this is the mob having been looted, for some reason. You'll notice a similar phenomenon with the pet Mr. Grubbs.

So I actually managed to farm this shirt.

I solo killed precious 13 times the last 2 days and then it finally droped.

Some nots from my experience:

I cleared all wings of icc (10) with some guildies, except for the plaguewing (and of course lich king)

the 3 trash grps at the entry of the plaguewing are quite though,
especially the grp with the plague scientists.
(luckily they don't respawn in case you die after killing one or 2 mobs of that pack)

precious herself is quite easy if you know that decimate will always put your HP to 15% max hp,
whether you are above or BELOW 15% hp.

So you simply have to make sure to stay alive between the decimate casts.

don't forgot that you have an 100% MS debuff up most of the time,
so selfheal isn't working (except you manage to dropp the debuff which is possible with a little timing)

as for the zombies which precious spawns.
they are quite slow, so don't bother killing them, I just kited them all of the time.

The Main Hall of Icc works quite well for that matter,
just make your rounds with precious and many zombies following you,
eventually you will kill her.

killing the trash and precious took my about 20 minutes each time.

oh an another important note,

the whole trash respawns after you stayed out of the instance for 30 minutes!

so I wish you good luck and happy farming

After reading "incko's" comment, I decided I'd try farming for the shirt as well...

I initially tried to form a group as a "Ribbon Run" but got laughed at in trade so decided I'd have to either try soloing or bribing friends to come. I was able to successfully solo both Marrowgar-10 and Lady Deathwhisper-10 as a Marksman Hunter but--when it came to the Gunship--I found just entering the cannon without someone else on the boat caused your boat to instantly die. I'm not sure if there's a way around this but I gave in and 5-manned Gunship and Deathbringer Saurfang to get to the Plague Wing.

As for the Plague Wing itself... That second trash pull is horrible. Those 瘟疫科學家s constantly keep you CC'ed with 蛻變噴霧 and the 膿腫恐獸s hit for 24k to 46k ticks with 冒泡的膿汁. On a positive note, the 瘟疫科學家s can be CC'ed. I suppose if one were to solo this trash mob, you'd be best off CC'ing one of the scientists and zerging down one of the horrors before dying and finishing off the other. What I ended up doing is grouping with a retribution paladin so we could CC both scientists and hopefully kill both Horrors before they killed us. Other than that pull--the rest of the trash is quite easy.

As for Precious herself... We kited her to the friendly NPCs in front of the Frost Wing and allowed 克羅科‧天譴剋星 to tank Precious while my turtle pet tanked the zombies that spawned. Honestly she is not too difficult with help from the friendly NPCs.

As incko suggested, the trash and Precious both respawn via a soft reset as long as you have not yet cleared the Plague Wing. It appeared incko waited 30 minutes for the trash to respawn but all you have to do is have everyone leave the raid and select "reset all instances" to make the trash reset. And to those worrying about having to get the shirt before the weekly reset, you can just extend the raid lockout (indefinitely?) until you can get it to drop.

EDIT: First shirt dropped on kill 16. Second shirt dropped on kill 53. This means multiple shirts CAN come from one week's Precious. Extending the lockout worked fine. Good luck farming!

Easily solo farmable as a feral druid in 353/JP gear. I joined a 25-H ICC achievement run and dipped after we killed Festergut then took my own save solo to 10man and stealthed up to Precious and the Decaying Collosus. Just skip past the aboms, scientists and fleshreaper pack doing laps, as you won't be able to kill the horrors due to their Bubbling Pus scaling with HP (even if you take a healer they'll slime them and you just get CC'd to death anyway). Other tank classes can probably get by all the crap on the stairwell using an invis potion, or maybe the engineer invis cloak.

Kill the few scientists and fleshreapers on Festerguts side, check for a trap, then just FFF pull Precious and she'll run past the collosus without aggroing it. Drag her into Festerguts room and just backpedal circles and wear her down. She should rarely do any damage through Savage Defense procs, and Decimate will bring you back up to 15% if she does get you low. Don't try to kill the zombies. By the time you kill her there will probably be a hundred or so of them packed into an extremely dangerous little lump, either carefully kitty swipe them down (swipe range is slightly large than their melee) or just die to them and reset the instance for another go. Takes about 5 minutes to kill Precious, and easily another 5 to try and get rid of the zombies. Around 15-20minutes total each reset.

For everyone out there looking to farm Precious for this ribbon I have a few tips of my own after farming her the last couple days.

Getting the lockout is really easy with the new Transmogrification thing coming out. You're fine with a lockout just after Saurfang but its worth it to stick around to see who they try to kill in plague first. Rotface HAS to be up to be able to farm Precious with a lockout. If you can get ahead of the pug group alittle bit and just start running towards Fester most people will just follow you since no one really cares which dies first. After Fester's down just leave with your lockout and you should be good to go.

As a Rogue I was unable to solo her, although I only tried a few times till one of my Dk friends offered to help. As a stealther all of the trash near the stairs is avoidable. If you're a non stealther DO NOT BOTHER WITH TRASH. Just grab some Lesser Invisibility Potion off the AH. Use the pot right as you get to the trash and you should be able to make it to the top of the stairs with no problems. Odds are it will run out right before the hallway so theres a chance you'll pull the patting group of Vengeful Fleshreaper's. The DK solo'd these easily while I cleared the Plague Scientists in Fester's hall. I would advise to pull the 2 patting Vengeful Fleshreaper's down to just so you don't have to deal with them during Precious. Also, you should kill the first Plagued Scientist in the hall towards Rotface to avoid it pulling along with Precious.

The Precious fight is really easy. Just kite her into Festergut's room and backpedal around the circle to kite the zombies. If you're two manning it like I did and you're not the person tanking her you should try to get in front of her and backpedal too when zombies are spawning. If they aggro to you they can easily daze you and with your HP being at roughly 30k it doesn't take a lot of zombie hits to kill you.

All and all the runs took roughly 6-8 minutes. A fairly easy price to pay for the best shirt in game.

And for those of you to care about odds, it took us 11 runs to get the shirt.

Been farming for the last week as often as possible, and it took close to 200 kills for 4 ribbons to drop (lost the first three rolls!). Since this mob cannot be soloed by my 385 assassination rogue, I had to find some trade chat tanks. Good luck to all those farming!

This item can be farmed. A simple reset will respawn precious along with any trash. You will however need a 4/12 lockout to reach precious. Once there, you can use an invisibility potion (or lesser invisibility potion) to get through trash from the Aboms to the stairs where you'll need to kill one giant and a pat that needs to be Aoe'd. You'll also need to kill one scientist that stands between you and precious.

I have heard this can be solo farmed by some classes, namely blood DKs and Feral Druids (and i'm sure others), but I had to two-man farm this as a shadow priest with a demo lock helping me

I, as a Shadow priest, had to enlist the help of a demo lock to help me with trash and precious. No matter how much I tried I could not solo the AoE pat, nor precious alone even. As a two man cloth team it isn't very difficult to do, especially once you get the hang of a few kills.

We didn't have much luck, it took us around 25 total kills to get the ribbon to drop (takes quite a bit of time, waiting for potions to come off CD)

This is how I got this shirt.

First asked guildies to help me clear first 4 bosses in icc.

I am resto/boomkin, its impossible to solo it as moonkin so I respeced feral.
Finally feral set become useful...

Ask someone for inv to make raid group.

Go straight to Precious using stealth in cat form to avoid trash groups.

He is easily soloable in bear form. You will get healed from Leader of the Pack talent every 6 seconds.
Keep swiping, thrashing to clear adds, keep demo roar up.

Go out of insance, ( or just get killed), to reset it after you kill Precious.

You can try 5 times per hour (because of "too many instances entered" error )

Good luck in your shirt farming ^^ .

I was lucky to get it from 1st try of soloing this.

First of all, this shirt give's the same buff as you see on Precious when you wear it.

Now, as a Druid I could solo this, and I'm pretty sure hunters, warlocks, and any other tank class can solo this as well. Only problem is that you have to spend ~40seconds stealthing past all the other mobs that you can't possibly solo, and the highest invisibility potion is 18seconds. You might be able to spam lesser invisibility potions, but I can't confirm that. Worth a shot. And since Druids are the only class that can solo this AND stealth from the few mobs, I'll be writing it in their PoV.

What you need to do is set up a group, or join a group, that clears the instances first 4 bosses. You don't need to clear any other bosses.

Once you do that, leave the group, leave the instance, have feral gear and a feral spec, , ready, reset the instance, and enter.

Take the teleport to the Upper Spire, then go forward and take a left towards the Aboms. Be careful of the valk's. They're annoying, but they won't be nearly able to kill you if you sit in bear.

Stealth past all the mobs. Make sure to wait for the little geists jumping around the stairs. There's so many of them, and they're high enough level to get you out of stealth. You can't solo them.

Keep stealthing past up the stairs, then turn a right. (There should be a center gate, Professor Putricide's, a left hallway, and a righthallway).

Once you reach the end of the hallway, stand in the little corner, and wait for Precious to pat way. Then kill the little Plague Scientist so he doesn't bother you when you pull Precious. It's OK if you accidentally pull precious, but it's easier to do it one at a time.

During the precious fight, there will be 4 things you have to worry about:
At about 80% health of Precious' health, you will become immune to heals. This means that bringing a healer friend to help you is useless, and it also means that frenzied regeneration is useless. Not to worry though, with barkskin, savage defense absorbs, survival instincts, and demoralizing roar, it wont be a problem, until later in the fight.
Decimate is one of precious' abilities that brings you up/down to 15% health. This may be intimidating with the immunity to heals, but this is good. It will actually save you later in the fight. He will do this periodically throughout the fight.
At about 70%, he summons Zombies, they do some damage as a group, because of their other ability which you need to worry about, which increases physical damage for each stack. It stacks up to 99 time.

Now that you know all that, all you need to do is DPS precious as much as possible by using lacerate, pulverize, maul, mangle, and thrash. Once the adds spawn, just do thrash, maul, mangle, and swipe. At about 90 stacks of the debuff, you will be very close to dying, so this is when you pop survival instincts AND berserk. Yes that's right, berserk serves as a defensive cooldown when it's paired with savage defense. It also get's rid of the zombies quicker so they stop bashing on you. Right when you get down to 10% health, there should be a decimate to keep you at 15%. Rinse, repeat.

Once you've killed Precious, destroy your healthstone, and make a new set in the equipment manager, with no gear on. (Make sure to save your current gear!), and take everything off. Go to the support page at the bottom of your screen, and go to Character Stuck at the left, and then Teleport to Graveyard. This saves you ALOT of time.
If you don't delete your hearthstone, it'll just hearth you.
You can always get a new hearthstone from any innkeeper.
Once you die, as a ghost when you're running back, reset the instance and enter.

One last thing: You don't need to disturb anyone by being in a raid this entire time, you can invite them, convert to raid, enter, and then when they leave, it won't teleport you out. It will teleport you out if they're leader, or if you leave.

In order to farm this shirt using Blood spec, here is what I did:

First, get a group of friends, or guildies help you clear the first four bosses in ICC. Once you have the first 4 down, you are free to farm.

Before engaging Princess, you must clear the trash on the way to him/her each time.

What I did when fighting Precious was just use Outbreak on cooldown, and plenty of Death Strikes. Once the zombies are raised, I would kite Precious around the circular room just previous to where he/she patrols.

If you are not familiar with the fight, it can be nerve racking due to the debuff that keeps you at 15% health, but if you like me are using a Blood spec, the Death Strike absorbs are more than adequate as long as you don't let tons of undead beat on you.

Once you finish off Precious, loot him/her, then just run out of the raid, and then right click your portrait, and click clear all dungeons/raids. As long as you don't kill the bosses in Plague Quarter, and just leave after you kill Precious, Precious will respawn every time. It took me 6 tries before shirt dropped, but it may take you more, or less.

Really easy to solo farm on a blood DK. Use an invisibility potion to skip the trash outside the entrance of plague wing,

If you can get a group to kill Festergut first, the circular room is nice to kite Precious around there.
The 5 instance/hour limit is annoying but it has got to drop eventually! It took 23 kills to see it on my DK. My hunter must be really unlucky because I'm at around 50 kills and no shirt

You can farm this solo:

Make sure you have 10N raid difficulty.
Clear first wing (Boat/Deathbringer Saurfang can be a pain however so maybe bring a friend).
Go to plague quarter, you can skip ALL trash if you got prowl/stealth. (If you do kill the trash beware of the Pustulating Horrors they deal insane damage, i warned you!)
Kill Precious which is very easy at lvl 90.
If the shirt doesn't drop go die by Rotface & Release spirit.
When outside reset all instances. (You have to be in a group for this to work)
Go back in and repeat step 3-7.

For people having trouble with the "Reset All Instances" farm method, you need to make sure both inside and outside you've selected your raid difficulty (so 10 man inside AND 10 man outside), then reset before you go in, whilst in a group.

So to clarify how I do it:

Group.
Select 10man difficulty outside ICC.
Reset all instances.
Enter ICC.
Select 10man difficulty inside.
6Kill Precious.
Die and release to graveyard.
Start from #2, rinse and repeat.

I'm unsure if this can still drop after 8.0.1. Currently, neither Precious nor Stinky are dropping any loot on my ICC 25 Heroic runs (farming Invincible). I've submitted a bug for this. It's possible that Ribbon is still in the loot table and only random trash/money loot is missing, so please comment if you've gotten this shirt post-8.0.1!

Just got this ribbon today after almost 50 runs across all my characters. I did notice something interesting, as well. The item itself is titled "Precious' Ribbon", but the buff tooltip reads "Precious's Ribbon", with an extra 's' after the apostrophe. Could be an oversight, maybe not.

Still drops as of patch 8.1. Ignore the indicated droprate, it's obviously skewed heavily towards data collected in WOTLK. After approximately 30-40 kills, I saw the item drop once. I didn't get it, I saw it drop though.

Edit: Dropped on 25 heroic, unable to confirm if post-lock farming still works since this was the first kill of the lockout. Precious does continues to respawn if you leave the dungeon for approximately 20-30 minutes assuming you have not killed Rotface.

As for the people thinking precious' loot is bugged. It is not. She doesn't always drop loot so don't get worried if you kill her and you don't even get the loot symbol.

I got this through the farming method. Simply enter on 10man normal, kill bosses and precious (if it doesn't drop) leave the instance VIA teleporter, exit the raid convert to 25man reset and re-enter. If it still doesn't drop, exit change it to 10man reset it then set to 25 man reset then proceed to rinse and repeat until you get the Ribbon.

Still drops as of 8.3. I don't know if I necessarily agree with the drop rate listed. Personally I feel it's a little lower.

Wanted to update: As of today 7/20/20 (Patch 8.3) it still drops. Extremely low chance, but it still drops. I was running 25-H.

Also, interesting although obvious note I haven't seen mentioned: Transmogrifying the shirt does NOT give you the "ribbon" buff. Only the original item does.

Remember, the drop rate listed is calculated from the times that Precious actually drop anything at all (gold not included). This means, the 95% of the times she does not drop any items at all will not affect the drop rate. It sucks I know :-\ This is the way the Wowhead drop rates always has worked.

Got it today H25 while doing an invincible run. Had to look it up because Its my 102nd run and I don't remember ever seeing it, though I've heard of its existence.

I just got one 5/13/21 on one of my alts. As someone that saw this drop about 16 times during ICC in WotLK, but never afterwards, I didn't even think it was still in the game.

Just so people don't make my mistake. I thought bringing a friend would help maybe buff the drop for shirt and mount, also I didn't want to exclude my buddy lol and found out that the shirt is personal loot. I watched my friend sit there awkwardly in that crouch loot stance as he tried to find a good way to tell me the shirt dropped for him and he couldn't trade. Hurts. Don't bring a friend to kill precious xD just fyi

Drop rate not accurate - I've done like 100 Invincible runs over the years and never, ever saw this item until right now.

guide for shadowlands farming: enter icc 10 normal, kill the first 4 bosses, then kill Precious next to Festergut and Rotface. Go out reset instances, enter icc 25 normal, use teleport to 4th floor kill Precious again. Repeat this until you get the shirt. Got it on my 4th. try, gl!

got it 4 times yesterday and now i farming for other characters

just do it in normal . kill him and go back , exit ICC then enter it will be reset , you even no need to reset by self

DONT do in heroic or you will be locked in what raid size you choose and adds will not reset again

in normal you can change between 10 and 25 even you already kill first 4 bosses and all trash including Precious will reset again

DONT kill bosses in Precious wings or will not reset again and you need to wait next week

Got it today first day of farming took around 16 times
had a small lockout came back did it a few more times and it dropped
I got it off Normal 10 person , make sure to convert to raid, then kill the first 4 bosses then kill precious (none of those bosses in those wings), leave reset instance and repeat

Still remember getting this one week on guild progression early on in ICC droped and went as free loot, i wound up winning this on my warlock main, at the time, which was always nice to have the extra buff on my bar

Fastest way I have found to farm this and hit the hourly instance cap.

First setup the raid for farming:

Set your raid difficulty to Normal (I did 25man Legacy but I don't think it matters)
Clear the first 4 bosses
Sprint straight to Precious and kill her (She will regularly not drop any loot)
Run outside

Now that the four bosses have been killed and you're outside the raid:

Reset the instance
Start a group in premade group finder with only you in it
Run inside and leave your party. (Right click your unitframe and hit leave party)
A 60 second timer will now start counting down that will teleport you outside to the graveyard
Take the teleporter and run and kill precious.
If your character is fast enough, you should be able to kill her and then have a few seconds left to wait and you will be teleported out
Repeat from step 1

The teleporting out to GY makes farming this much faster. If your class isn't fast enough, you can delay when you leave the party to give yourself more time. With a shaman ghost form, I was able to run from entrance to precious in about 40 seconds.

Good luck! Took me about ~35 tries on a new character.
