This will be one very nice Bear weapon, since weapon procs now also work when shapeshifted. Shadowstrike will however be very wanted by hunters and be even more usefull for cats, since they can actualy proc the lifestealing.

i do however hope that the 150 to 250 Nature damage will be up-ed, since that is equal to the original lvl60 item proc.. or it should proc 10 times more often.

The proc is only on there for notalgia, like the frost and fire resist on the helms.

If they bumped the damage on the CL up any meaningful amount, they would have to sac other stats on the item, and personally i appreciate that vendorstrike still has a !@#$ty damage proc on it.

Don't think that it's exactly accurate to list this as Onyxia encounter loot, not to confuse people. It's the use effect of http://www.wowhead.com/?item=49496 to be more precise, and cannot be looted from the boss itself.

To correct what was said earlier by midgetman0500, this is a rather decent tanking weapon (For bear tanks inparticularly) due to the amount of expertise it can add to a set. Also, for those that don't know, expertise is a valuable tanking stat in general for it not only avoids Parry Gibs, but also generates a decent amount of threat.

On my Bear it Procs incredibly often. I use it as my Main tanking weapon and after an average night of raiding, Recount shows the proc doing about 75% the damage of thorns..so if thorns did 100k damage the entire night this proc would do about another 75k.

The effect from the proc looks great too, a chain lightning shoots out of my Bears head and chains over a few mobs in front and looks cool. Procs a min. of 3 times on an aoe pull. Just about as often as mongoose or so...

Also, an arms warrior won the roll for shadowstrike but was nice enough to let me use his shadowstrike to summon thunderstrike.
