From the looks of it, you can get it as a drop or through using the Emblems of Heroism for the 10 man tier 7 set. This would of course mean you can also get them by just running a lot of heroic dungeons. This might not be a bad idea since it would promote raid progression among more casual players as gear wouldn't be so drop dependent anymore and PvP gear wouldn't be as necessary to get or raid in.

Naturally the better gear would be had from the heroic raids where I would suspect most of the hardcore guilds will go. Me, I'll be happy in the 10 mans for the most part since they will be easier to get a group for.

10 man vs. 25 man is not Normal vs. Heroic. They are two entirely separate progression lines. I've seen a lot of guilds say they will gear up in a 10 man to run the 25 man. That's not the way it's intended to go. If you go into the 25 man wearing full 10-man t7, it will be like a t6 guild running Kara: almost a joke. Both types of raids are tuned for you to be wearing basic gear. One is just tuned for more players to participate.

I think its a bad idea from blizzard being able to purchase this stuff trough badges. I'm thinking long-term here, it will be too easy getting this gear. Nothing special about it, also if everyone in the guild has t7 im assuming the dungeons themselves (25m) will be far too easy.

I really hope im wrong, its too early to tell right now but
I really really hope this game will be soo damn challenging that it will keep me going for a few years. putting the last dungeon on farm is probably the most boring thing ever.

This is not true, they are brought with the Heroic and 10 Man emblems. Presumably so you don't have to rely on it dropping.

Actually, there's some 10-man tier items to be bought for the 25-man emblems too.

No there isn't, the gear brought with the 25 Man emblems is 25 man gear.

Okay, lets just say theres a situation where this drops and nobody can use it at all. So a paladin takes it in hopes to turn it in for a warrior/hunter/shaman tier 7 chest to disenchant, even though he is not able to use it. That little paladin thought it was possible but he was stuck with a warrior/hunter/shaman T7 chest token.

Don't go crazy looking around dalaran for a vendor to sell you a chest that isnt for your class.

Just take the 5 gold and sell it.

I had this drop from the The Four Horsemen chest today. I killed Gluth and was bummed but kept on clearing for other possible mog items. Got lucky.
