When I first started leveling in Borean Tundra, I trained leatherworking to beable to transform the Borean Leather Scraps into regular Leather. It took me forever to find out that all you have to do is click the leather to transform them.

The good news is that once you start killing level 79-80 mobs, the percentage of Scraps dropping is a lot less than 69-70 mobs in TBC.

Another thing I would like to add is that It ticks me off that you can't gain any levels from your scraps anymore. It just makes leveling the profession a lot harder than it should be.

Some positive news for people leveling up Leatherworking;

A new recipe to transform 5x Borean Leather Scraps into 1x Borean Leather will be added to Leatherworking - As of yet no additional information though there are two theories circulating the rumor-mill:

Giving Leatherworkers an alternative to crafting items that cost large amounts of materials.
Giving the combination of Skinning and Leatherworker added value by adding a Leatherworking +-350 skill requirement

That last theory is less likely though, as I'm fairly certain they would've just mentioned "Creating Borean Leather from Leather Scraps now requires a minimum of 350 Leatherworking" - but you never know :)

I made the horrible mistake of right clicking on Borean Leather Scraps to make them into Borean Leather, BUT at 350 Leatherworking skill, there is Borean Leather!

I had 12 stacks of scraps...and I missed all of those skillups. /cry

As their is no comment about farming spot, here is a simple one (Horde):
Just simply farm the 骸豬 westside of Warsong Hold (Borean Tundra).
They tend to be packed around dead Kodo making it easy to farm. You will level up your LW pretty fast and you can also get 寒地毛皮 sometimes. Their is also a quest that requires killing them.
