Thick clefthoof leather is extreamly easy to farm at 70 and if you can't be bothered farming the Primal Earths, they are reasonably cheap.

These are the easiest way to grind your way to 375. It sucks, but it doesn't involve a long rep grind which requires a group. The only problem is you and every other LW grinding will be making a stupid amount of these, so they are impossible to make a profit on. Just sell the odd pair on the AH cheap and get a friend to DE the rest.

For those who are Skinners or buyers and not LWers and are looking to have a LWer make the Heavy Clefthoof set, the grand total needed for the entire set is:

80 Knothide Leather
94 Thick Clefthoof Leather
12 Primal Earth

I personally just bought the boots for 15g since it wasn't too much, but for the others I am going to get the leather myself and have a LWer make them and I thought I would share the needed mats with WowHead

I'm not sure if this changed with a recent patch, but these were yellow for me all the way to 375. This meant it was much easier (and profitable) to grind for mats for this recipe than try to get exalted with Keepers of Time and do the drums of panic recipe.

Fortunately a lot of people in my guild were miners, and were able to get me a fair amount of primal earths for the pieces. Outside of that, the AH is fairly inexpensive for the primal earths on my server; hopefully it's the same across the board.

So, happy skinning/crafting. These should take you all the way to 375.

Sad to see a piece of a nice set go to waste now. After Patch 3.0.2, these are pratically useless for Druid tanks. Im working on farming the honor for the PvP boots to make up for the loss.
