I'm grinding my Blacksmithing skill right now and I have to mine a lot of Adamantite to make my stuff and I come across at least one eternium ore each node, the rich deposits usually give 2 a node.

Every node in outlands has a chance of dropping this, but if you need a lot of these, check the auction house

As the mining stats would suggest, Eternium is an uncommon drop from all outland ore veins. As with most Burning Crusade mining Nagrand seems to be the the place to farm this, mostly because of the huge amount of normal and rich adamantite veins there.

I am attempting to farm this during 7.0 and the lull before Legion comes out. I'm finding that the open world areas are very heavily farmed, with terrible respawn rate, so I'm turning to instances to get ore nodes. All 4 Auchindoun 5-mans and the 3 Coilfang 5-mans contain 2 nodes each, except for Steamvaults which contains 4. Steamvaults is 2 fel iron and 2 adamantite, normal sized, while all the others are 2 adamantite with at least 1 rich one.

If you're just going for Eternium and don't care about the other ores, my personal favorite is Mana Tombs. I'm able to stealth all the way through on my druid without killing anything, and there's a nice loop at the end to get out quickly and do it again.

CORRECTION: After doing more runs of this I discovered that rich nodes are not guaranteed, however they are very common.

I didnt get any eternium following the map. I got 42 ore crisscrossing the interior but the respawns didnt have any. So I suggest you crisscross the interior of nagrand then go do something else for a day.

From what I've seen, you must know Outland mining to get these from adamantite deposits. My lvl 17 mages was questing in Terokkar forest and got Eternium Ore from almost all adamantite deposits (the chars know outland mining), but my farm druid (who doesnt know outland mining) has received ZERO eternium ore from 8-10 deposits

Edit: Yes, after learning outland mining, my druid instantly started finding eternium ore
