Step 1: Buy (or make) a fishing pole.
Step 2: Buy (or make) an 阿爾加織絲釣線 enchant and apply to your fishing pole.
Step 3: Collect and apply 阿爾加釣手絲線 and 阿爾加追尋者絲線 to your fishing pole

Algari Anglerthread - Increases fishing skill +1 for each item used (max 100)
Algari Seekerthread - Increases perception skill +1 for each item used (max 100)

When you get close to water you get the 'Fishing for Attention' buff and when you mouseover this buff, it will show you the current level of enchantment you have.

Don't stress if you haven't fished any threads yet. I didn't receive my first Algari Anglerthread till 202 fishing, from a 深淵低語 pool in Azj-Kajet after fishing pools in every zone.

Sorry but's no clear to me.
The buff is for the fisherman or for the fishing rod? can i use the Algari Anglerthread on a green 564 and i didn't loose if i change to a blue fishing rod? ty

As far as I know there isn't an obvious and easy way to know how many you have already applied to your 阿爾加織絲釣線. I've found a way to check it.

Open the achievements window (Y) and type in the search bar on the top right: "Algari Anglerthread", click the highest number it comes up (it is the current achievement in progress).
There you will see the amount already applied.
You can even check the box "Track" to see it in your objective tracker.

Note: The achievement is warbound shared, but the actual 阿爾加釣手絲線 applied are fishing rod specific. So this would only be accurate if you only apply these to a single fishing rod aka. one character.

You can see how many of these you have easily.

On top of the screen, once the fishing rod is equipped, a buff called "Fishing for Attention" will appear and it will show exactly how many upgrades you have.

You may have to unequip / re-equip the fishing rod for it to appear if it's not visible.

All fishing rods only have their passives / abilities enabled once you are fishing or after just equipping them (so the character is seen with the pole in the hand).

The same applies for the Underlight Angler passive buff from Legion. You can still use it, you just need to equip the fishing rod while in the water.

I have the 阿爾加織絲釣線 on my Fishing Pole and after buying this from the Fishing Derby, I received the error message "You can't do that yet".

I placed the fishing pole in my bags and re-equipped it, and then used the item without any issues. Hope this helps :)

Maybe I just don't understand how to use this. I have the Algari Weaverline applied (did a crafting order to get it). When I right-click teh Algari Anglerthread it does nothing. No errors just....nothing.

This has been bugged for alts ever since they changed it to be doable by alts. I've reported it weeks ago and nothing has been done so I'm fairly confident it is not in "exploit" territory.

If you complete the fishing derby quest on one character and then log out, for the entire remaining duration of the 大賽突進者 buff, every alt will instantly complete the quest when they catch their first non-grey fish. The flip side is all alts will NOT get any extra marks for unique fish caught with the derby buff until the 1 hour expires on your first character.

If you'd like to use this to get your 100阿爾加追尋者絲線 and 100阿爾加釣手絲線 you should park as many alts as you wish next to the quest giver, do the quest on your main as fast as possible, log out, and then with the remaining time on your hour quickly complete the quest on your alts. You get two 阿爾加釣手絲線s or 阿爾加追尋者絲線s for the quest turn in and 10 米雷達爾大賽獎章s which can net you one more. So 3 per turn in which requires around 66 alts (or multiple weeks). They are warbound so just put them in your warbank and you only need one character with the enchant on their rod to use them.

The threads are character specific, not pole specific. So they carry over to a new fishing pole on the same character.

The achievements share the progress to alts in increments of 10.
