For all the people questioning if something is off with the drop rate. I think it's just a low %. I did run follower dungeons as a 74 Dev Evoker with Pres loot spec. I did not count the runs but let's say 2-3 hours after leaving on the 3rd boss, I eventually got the trinket. So you are just unlucky and have to keep trying :(

Information on this page is not correct!

Some specs and classes (mages) can't loot the item. For example on paladin this item drops only for Holy. Always check the loot table in adventure guide just to be sure you are not wasting your time.

Just did around 20 runs as a Priest. I went as Shadow, but spec'd Holy. I didn't have any drops from the last boss for nearly 19 runs (but had drops from other bosses), then finally it dropped for me. It appears to only drop for healing spec's, and it will drop if you're a DPS spec'ing as a healer.

Lost count of how many runs I've done of this place for this trinket. I've gone from level 70-78 grinding just this dungeon in LFG as a holy priest. Please make it end! Fix this drop rate.

Took around 50~60 runs. I did it as ret with holy loot spec, on follower dungeon. Don't give up!

The worst one for sure, took me about 25 runs as ww with loot specialisation set to mistweaver. Do not get confused if the bosses won't drop any items, it will eventually drop.

really wish id checked here first , done about 70 runs and then realised my shaman was on elemental loot not resto so after switching got it second run, thank god thats over

Just some insight after farming for approx 2 hours in Follower Dungeons, after about 5-6 runs i noticed i stopped receiving loot altogether on my ww monk spec'd to mistweaver lootspec. Attempted to queue normal and the game hit me with the error that i have queued for too many dungeons recently. Not 100% if there is an interaction but believe that the game in preventing loot drops while in the excessive queue state but follower dungeons allow you to continue to queue regardless of queue frequency.

Not sure if there is a true interaction between the drops/queue frequency but it seems to be the case as there are multiple people in the comments that report to be receive no loot at all after multiple runs. Just some food for thought. Best of luck.

For those farming this trinket in follower dungeon, don't reset the run after the first drop from a boss. You can get multiple loot, so kill the Candle King everytime!

Dropped for me today after 50ish runs, but it took me an embarrassing amount of attempts to find this out.

Made an account just to say it does drop if you can set your loot to healer.... after about 80 tries doing the follower dungeon.

im almost 100% certain that if you are to farm this trinket using follower dungeons, you HAVE TO play as the healer spec, not just set your loot spec to healer. Did about 15-20 runs as ele shaman specced to resto for loot, and got nothing on every boss each run. I switched to resto and started getting loot again, got the trinket in 5 runs. Might be different on actual dungeon runs but it definitely feels like the loot table is off if you run a diff spec to your loot specialization for follower dungeons. Best of luck!

I finally got this item. Took me 25 attempts, all Follower dungeons. Playing Balance druid set to Resto Druid loot spec.

I was starting to doubt the loot table was correct in-game.

77 attempts so far...2 on normal the rest in follower dungeons. Ret pally with loot spec set to holy each time, and alas still no drop.

Either some form of bad luck protection being implemented for items with such a low drop chance, or a significant buff to its drop chance for people on this quest, would surely make sense?

I've ran this dungeon so many times on both my paladin and druid, set to holy/resto. Mostly follower dungeons, with a mix of groups through dungeon finder, as well as I've asked some buddies to run this periodically with their healer specs selected. The drop rate is a pain but hopefully with this dungeon being in play next season it'll increase the odds.

I can confirm the items drops by doing the dungeon in follow-er mod. It took me over 10 hours to get it. It seems it drops on healing loot specialization. I changed my shaman loot to restoration and it dropped like that but only after a lot of farming.

Just dropped for me in regular LFG. Did about 38 runs, mostly follower dung as a prot pala with holy loot spec. 6th LFG run.

Can confirm it actually exists as well. I did over 30 runs with 2 other friends on heal specs and did not get it at all. Got it today after like 20 follower dungeons. A tip, continue the follower dungeon if u did not get any gear after 1st or 2 nd boss, the chanses you will STILL get a piece of loot from 3 rd if u already got one in 1 st or 2 nd it's close to 0 :) Best of luck to all!

I can recommend doing the farm on a character with Tailoring and the respective points to increase drop rate of cloth etc.. Can farm quite a bit of cloth that way, so the time is not completely wasted ;-P

finally at last one took me 8 minute per run can skip lot of mobs hung on wall from boss to boss they are pretty low hp easy for followers to kill them from 1-3 in group, only did 4 runs and able to obtain the item

toon proc pally on holy loot.

this dungeon is prob far easiest than rest of items since quick 8 minutes depending on each players .. it only took me 4 runs some might be 50 plus.. just keep grinding skip those mobs, kill only what in your way hung the walls even followers is slow or trying to grab extra mobs.. keep grinding

once u get the last item , congrat...

This dungeon (and trinket) will be in the rotation for season 2 M+, and the final boss drops a unique mount. If you are a collector intending to farm that, it might be worth waiting and killing two birds with one stone.

I am so !@#g tired and sick of rng in this game, if you'd known.
97 runs with pala with holy spec. Back dropped 6 times and weapon 4 times.
24 runs with bear with resto spec. Only 2 backs dropped.
While friend of mine did TWO, TWO DAMN RUNS and got the trink.
I hate the person who created this quest.

~~I guess power of whining works? After this post, item dropped after second run. So on 99th run I got it. BUT STILL HATE IT~~

Just ran my second DFC of Season 2 on a +5 and this dropped as 2/4 Champion and I also got the mount, Wick's Lead, on the same run. There is hope out there. I feel like most people who comment here are the unlucky ones. Luck does exist.

I have been using a 655 ilevel (Hero 3/8) version of this 蠟燭大王的雕刻刀 as a healer. In my last Mythic+10 Workshop run, for instance, the 蠟之結界 contributed to 3.9% of my healing done, or 44.7k HPS.

I find applying the wax on my tank teammate will result in higher healing numbers.

As a comparison, 提神先生's 恢復電擊s contributed to 3.1% of my healing, and 大地之盾, 6.2% of my healing in the same run.

A painful 20 runs to get the item, which sounds decent, sure, around the average of ~33… but don’t get your hopes up. You could get it in 5 runs. You could also get it in 100.

Hours and hours stuck in Darkflame Cleft on a Protection Paladin, with loot specialization set to HOLY. That’s the level of absurdity we're dealing with here.

Something got to change.
