After fishing the first pool in the Arachnid Quarter for about 20 mins I read the comment that you have to be in the special entrance to fish it up, after doing https://www.wowhead.com/news/how-to-enter-old-scholomance-farm-once-removed-transmog-items-333981 I returned to the same spot and fished it up on the 14th cast..Seems to be the number.

Just wanted to confirm you do not need Northrend fishing to fish this up.

I have only learned Dragonflight Fishing and I was 1/100 - success from less than 10 casts.

Fishing in these waters does raise Northrend Fishing if you have it trained

Got it in 6 casts from skill 1 with no augments of any kind

Got this on my first try and the highest fishing that I have is Outland: 14. All other expansions are at 1.

I had to catch it twice. The first time, Fishing Buddy addon reported a successful catch but I had nothing in my backpack. So I turned off Auto loot in FB and caught it one more time, this time I already got it in my backpack.I don't know if it was a coincidence, but it's probably better to turn off the autoloot (maybe even auto-open quest items).

If you don't have fishing, but got the Hyper-Compressed Ocean toy, then yes, it works.

You just drop the ocean sphere on any slime pools, do 15-25 casts and it's done

You MUST have this achievement 驚懼城塞的結界 before you can obtain this item or it will NOT show up for you. I spent about an hour, probably 300 casts trying to get this because I didn't know. I hope this helps.
