Why are they constantly adding Polearms that are Agility only? This weapon would potentially be BIS and if not one that is very close to it for many Strength based melee classes. In the same way it will likely be BIS or very close to it for Agility based classes as well. To give a comparison generally 2-handed staves have Intellect or Agility on them in the same way that 1-handed maces have Agility or Strength.

There are Strength based classes that can use Polearms. You don't see any Strength only Polearms as anyone that had Strength also provided Agility. In some cases there was no additional primary stat modifier however, this still allowed the weapon to be considered by all classes that could use it providing an additional choice and option for all classes that can wield the weapon based on their spec.

There are some classes that an additional weapon option would be advantageous due to the limitations and lack of choices they have. A good example of one Strength base class is the Deathknight, they are quite restricted as to what weapon choices are available based on their Spec. Two of the spec's limit them 2-Handed Swords, 2-Handed Axes, 2-Handed Maces or POLEARMS. While their 3rd spec still has the ability to use the same 2-handed Weapon choices like the other two specs, it additionally has the option to change the talent spec to allow them to dual wield which gives them the ability to wield 1-Handed Swords, Maces, or Axes. In terms of a Agility based Melee class that has similar issues with choice and spec based limitations it would be the Survival Hunter, but it is never a factor to be considered for hunters as they will all be either playing Marksman or Beast Mastery anyway..

Anyone else unable to put the new Shadowflame Wreathe enchant on this weapon?
I tried a cheap writ and that works but the new one doesn't.

This seems to proc off of most hits of Survival's Fury of the Eagle + you still have several seconds left if you want to proc it off of other abilities. Main perk of using Fury is instead of being limited by 1 proc per GCD you can squeeze in more if you need some help on AOE burst.

With none of the cleave dummies targeted to make sure that autoattacks wouldn't happen I activated the staff and cast Fury.

Fury of the Eagle: 45 hits, 535K damage
Djaruun proc: 25 hits, 143k damage

On the single target dummy,

Fury of the Eagle: 9 hits, 124K damage
Djaruun proc: 4 hits, 51k damage

Though this is listed as "Very Rare" in the in-game raid journal, my experience has been the opposite. It's dropped both times I've done this boss; I won it the first time. I also got one out of my weekly vault. I'm curious if I've just been lucky or if others have been seeing it more often than "Very Rare" would imply, too.

Got this weapon in a Heroic form as a great vault drop. The "on use" lava wave function is absolutely devastating at clearing very large mobs and mows them down pretty quick like for a druid running tank or guardian spec. Tested Heroic (Djaruun Lvl 441) against the Mythic raid agility staff (Obsidian Stirring Staff @ Lvl 447), the Djaruun weapon clears the mass trash mobs faster. Suspect this is another raid specific weapon design built to clear raid trash in mass waves. Awesome weapon Blizz.
