As a raiding mage, I used this item up until I got Bracers of Arcane Accuracy off of Broodlord in BWL. The main feature that I loved about these bracers was the amazing amount of intellect and mana regeneration they had. It really helps out on mana-dependent fights (like Golemagg in MC, all you do there is cast frostbolt after frostbolt, assuming that you are a frost mage). The amount of stamina and spirit they have could be better, but it gets the job done.

Spell damage wise they are only decent (as is most of the arcanist set). They give an extra 12 points of damage, and no additional spell hit/crit rating. If you are looking for bracers to improve your DPS, these are not for you.

However, if you are a mage that has a small mana pool and poor mana regeneration, then these bracers ARE for you. Pick them up and slap on a +7 intellect enchant, and will see some nice results =].

These bracers do not have a set drop rate, and they drop off random mobs in MC (as do the other tier 1 BoE's).

After 18 years, the latest patch in TWW changed these from BoE to BoP. Same for all other T1 bracers and belts.

Not sure why :) If you had them on your bank alt they are now bound to that character.
