This trinket has been registering a high DPS count due to proccing a dot on every time it's applied, making it, at least for Retribution Paladins, the BiS trinket for AoE DPS, and 4th for single DPS.

However, it has been hotfixed on August 30th, applying the poison every 1 second rather than 0.5 seconds. This lowered the trinket's DPS substantially.
I believe it'll lose the AoE trinket leadership with that, and seeing how many comments stating how wonky it is to use it, it'll most likely be discarded from all lists.

This is an astoundingly bad trinket, it's like something they would have created in Vanilla.

- If you use it in a macro (for instance if you have one to /use all your trinkets and then cast an attack) it will never get past the line that uses the trinket. It thinks it's an ability.
- You can rotate normally but you move extremely slowly, so better hope fire didn't just land on you!
- As stated in other comments, it stops autoattacks and prevents anything from being cast
- All of this and the damage isn't even that great.

I got this in my weekly chest as a blood DK. I hate this &*!@ trinket so much. Why is this even on my loot table? WTAF. First time in a long while I felt depressed from opening my weekly chest. Like all of last week work was wasted. I'm bound to LFR if I want to raid so I rely on that chest to get some azerite upgrade. GG Blizz. :/

Despite the other comments, I'm finding this trinket is scaling well through 8.1. I run it on my blood dk in m+, and if i gorefiends and have my DH stun its an easy way to gain a significant amount of aoe threat. This combined with bonestorm, blood boil, death and decay and the rest of the DK kit lead to decently sized packs just melting.

If you get this trinket on any tank don't immediately scrap it, give it a shot with your compositions.

LOVE this trinket as a blood dk. It's regularly 7-10% of my damage on heavy aoe fights like Opulence or m+ dungeons.

As of 8.3, this is the best in slot for Havoc Demon Hunter for some of the M+ runs due to the insane amount of haste. Pack size should be 5+ to have good amount of damage.

Do not underestimate this trinket, especially on a tank. Despite simming poorly, this hidden gem does a ton of aoe damage on demand. 100k+ per target, and it deals the full damage to all targets unlike some alternatives like 卓雷阿葛斯的扭動肉塊 that split the damage to multiple targets. On large enough pulls a single cast of this is almost guaranteed to be my top damage source. The only thing to mind with this is the fact that it is a channeled cast, so take care to not be interrupted and mind the fact that you won't be avoiding attacks for the duration of the cast.

very good choice for protection warrior.
cuz the more haste you got the more dmg you can deal

if you are taking care of 10or more mobs

just turn on avatar and stun mobs and use this item

it can almost 100k dps .
