Temple of Sethraliss Dungeon Ability Guide

Temple of Sethraliss is a max-level dungeon located in
沃魯敦
. It is available to Level 110 Horde players on Normal difficulty and level 120 players on Heroic, Mythic, and Mythic+ difficulties.
This guide will outline strategies and important role-based responsibilities for each of the 4 bosses in Temple of Sethraliss, as well as some tips on particularly threatening trash mobs.
When running this dungeon in Mythic+, additional affixes will be present on the enemies in the dungeon, affecting the way they behave.

Loot
Loot drops at ilvl 310 on Normal mode for level 120 players, ilvl 325 on Heroic and ilvl 340 on Mythic.
For Mythic+ Dungeons, loot does not drop per boss. At the end of the dungeon, a special chest will spawn that contains loot from the dungeon, for which the base ilvl increases based on the Mythic Keystone level. The loot is personal, so each player should loot it to see what their reward is. Two pieces of loot are guaranteed and the items will be appropriate to the player's class/spec.
In addition, all loot in Battle for Azeroth is on an ilvl spectrum. Most loot has a base ilvl and a progressively smaller chance to appear as a Warforged version, increasing in intervals of +5 ilvls. Learn more about loot in the

Dungeon loot can also be found at random on World Quests, including quests that send you into the dungeon, as well as quests to kill random elites.

For Mythic+ Dungeons, loot does not drop per boss. At the end of the dungeon, a special chest will spawn that contains epic items from the dungeon's loot table, for which the base ilvl increases based on the Mythic Keystone level. The loot is personal, so each player should loot it to see what their reward is. Two pieces of loot are guaranteed for the party, and the items will be appropriate to the player's class/spec.
In addition, if you successfully complete a Mythic+ dungeon within the time allotted, the Keystone that was used to start the attempt will become upgraded by at least 1 level. The faster you clear the content, the larger the upgrade, up to a maximum of 3 levels higher.
If the party upgrades the keystone by more than one level, they will also receive the corresponding number of loot chests.

Notable Trash Mobs
The instance begins with a choice, the group can either head left or right to move towards the first encounter. Each side is littered with trash, however clearing the left side will clear some trash towards the second boss at the same time as clearing towards the first, making the left side the superior option. The group will engage five uniquely named trash enemies in multiple configurations as the head towards the first boss.

s have two interruptible casts.
閃電箭
is a 2.5 sec cast which will deal a burst of damage to a random player.
Although it is interruptible, players should save their interrupts for the

cast.
洶湧治療
will be cast on a damaged nearby trash enemy and will heal them for a substantial amount.
This cast should be interrupted as a high priority, as it will slow down the groups progress if it goes through.
Avoid standing in the path of

are ranged enemies that will prefer to

random targets rather than melee hit the tank.
Because of this the tank should bring enemies over to the marksman to help stack them up, or use displacement spells to bring the trash together.
It will cast
強力射擊
aimed towards a random players location. After the 2.5 sec uninterruptible cast goes through, a bolt will travel in that direction which deals damage to all players caught in its path.
The group should avoid standing in the path of the bolt. The marksman will not change direction to follow the targeted player, allowing that player to also dodge the incoming bolt.
The
荒漠神射手
will occasionally instantly apply
神經毒素
to a random non-tank player. This 4 second poison debuff will cause the player to be put to sleep for 5 seconds if they move.
The afflicted player should stand still until the
神經毒素
times out. If a poison dispel is available, the target should be dispelled as soon as possible. The sleep is also a poison debuff.

s are low health, non-elite enemies that will occasionally charge a random ranged target with

This will deal a small amount of damage and knock back all players within 2 yards.
Ranged players should avoid standing within each other as to avoid multiple people being knocked back.

s will cast

which deals a burst of damage to all players within 30 yards and knocks them back
ever so slightly
.
This cast is uninterruptible. Ranged spell casters may want to stand 30 yards away from the enemy as to avoid the tiny knock back which can interrupt spell casting.

enemies engage the party from stealth. The group should take this into account when pulling multiple trash packs at once.
They will cast
劍刃亂舞
. After a 1 second uninterruptible cast, it will gain a 8 second buff which increases melee attack speed by 30% and causes all of its melee attacks to chain to one other target within 5 yards.
Players should avoid standing within 5 yards of the tank whilst this buff is active. This buff cannot be removed in any way, however a well timed crowd control spell might be able to interrupt the short cast.
As the group makes its way towards the first encounter, they should note that the trash around the sides of the encounter space does not need to be cleared.
As long as the group is careful, the next boss can be defeated without pulling any additional trash.
The group can skip pulling these trash packs around the edges of the room.

Abilities & Strategy

is a single phase encounter in which the group will be fighting two bosses simultaneously. The bosses do not share a health pool and they will cast different sets of abilities depending on if they have the
閃電之盾
active on them or not.
The
閃電之盾
will reflect damage backat attacking players!
閃電之盾
is a buff that will be active one of the two bosses at any given time and it reflects damage back to any player who deals damage to the buffed boss.
Although the
閃電之盾
doesn't deal a large amount of damage, the DPS should focus their attacks into the boss that doesn't have the shield whilst only dealing damage to the shielded boss via cleave abilities.
Each boss has an energy bar which fills up whilst buffed with
閃電之盾
. Upon reaching 100 energy they will cast a special ability. After the special ability has been cast, the
閃電之盾
will transfer to the other boss.
Whilst the boss has
閃電之盾
they are immobile. The tank should stack both bosses on top of each other to allow damage to be passively cleaved between them.

Shielded
艾斯匹
starts the fight with the
閃電之盾
and has three different abilities whilst he is holding the shield.
He will frequently cast
電擊
. This interruptible cast deals a burst of damage to a randomly selected player.
The group should aim to interrupt this cast frequently, as there is no other spell in the encounter to interrupt.
At 50% energy,
艾斯匹
will apply
傳導
to a random player. Upon expiration, this 5 second debuff will deal a burst of damage to the afflicted player and anyone within 8 yards of them.
The debuffed target should move away from their allies to prevent additional damage going out onto the group.
Stand behind
阿德利斯

At 100% energy,

will cast

. This cast will deal a large burst of nature damage to the entire group.
This damage is unavoidable, aside from immunities. The healer should ensure that all players are healthy before the

cast is completed.
When

loses access to the shield, he will cast

. He will face the direction of a random player and, after a 2.5 second uninterruptible cast, send out a wave of tornadoes.
These tornadoes each deal a burst of damage to any player who comes into contact with them.
Players in melee who stay in the path of the tornadoes will get hit multiple times by them, likely killing the player.
The group should move either to the side of, or behind,

when he casts this. The targeted player can also move, as
阿德利斯
will not turn to match the players movement once the cast begins.

Shielded
Whilst
阿德利斯
holds the shield, he will cast two different abilities.
At 50% energy, he will teleport to a random players location and cast

. This 3 sec uninterruptible cast will deal a heavy burst of nature damage to anyone within 15 yards.
The group should quickly move away from
阿德利斯
when he begins his
轟鳴雷霆
cast so they can dodge the ability.
At 100% energy,

will begin to cast

. This is a series of dashes towards a random players location, dealing damage to any players he contacts as he moves around.
The group should spread when
弧光突進
is cast, as to reduce the chance that multiple people are hit by any individual dash.
Run against the
烈風之力
stream of wind!
When
艾斯匹
loses access to the shield he will cast Gust at the tank, dealing a moderate burst of nature damage to them.
This cast is interruptible. As
電擊
is no longer being cast, the group may as well interrupt this spell now instead!
Heroic
On
Heroic difficulty
, both bosses will gain access to an additional ability that they will use whilst they are shieldless.

will frequently deal damage to all players within 15 yards with

deals damage that is
split between all players hit
. Therefore the group should stand near

at all times to help split the damage.

gains access to the

ability. He will select a random player and channel a stream of wind towards them.
This wind pushes the player, and anyone within the wind channel, back. The player should run against the pushback to ensure they remain within range of the two bosses.

Notable Trash Mobs
After defeating the first boss, the group should head northwest towards the next boss. On this path the group will engage nine uniquely named trash mobs.
This trash includes
荒漠神射手
&
小葉殼蟲
s which have been faced earlier in the instance.
Avoid standing in the
劇毒之息
!
覆鱗葉殼蟲騎士
s will apply an 8 second magic buff on themselves via the interruptable
電化鱗片
cast. This will cause players to take damage every time the land an ability on the mob.
This cast should be interrupted or Magic purged to allow the group to safely damage the enemy.
The group should avoid standing in front of the rider when it casts
劇毒之息
.
After a 2.5 uninterruptible cast, it will spew forth a breath that deals a burst of magic damage and applies a 9 second poison dot on all players hit.
This is initially cast towards the tank, however the rider will not rotate to follow the tanks movement, allowing the tank to also dodge the ability.
The tank should still face the rider away from the group, as it will occasionally

all players in front of it, dealing a burst of physical damage.

snakes will apply

on the tank, a poison dot which lasts 6 seconds.
The group should dispel this dot if a poison dispel is available.

The tank should do their best to move any enemies out of the

each time a new cloud is spawned, as this will allow the group to make meaningful progress through the trash.
The DPS should focus on killing these

snakes as soon as possible to reduce the amount of
塵霧之雲
s that spawn.

ability. A 2.5 sec uninterruptible cast which deals a burst of damage to all players within a 20 yard cone in front of them. Players hit also take 20% additional damage for 12 seconds.
The group should aim to move behind the
葉殼成蟲
each time the
沙塵侵蝕
ability is cast.
The group will travel north into the Clutch of the Great Mother area which will house the
莫芮克莎
encounter. All trash in this area must be killed before
莫芮克莎
will spawn.
Stun/CC the
吸取
cast to interrupt it!
瘋狂孵育者
s have several dangerous casts.
The
瘋狂孵育者
s will apply

buffs on their allies, reducing the damage they take by 90%. This cast needs to be interrupted as a high priority.
They will also cast

, spawning a patch of pulsating lightning that deals ticking damage to all players who stand within it.
This cast can also be interrupted, however players should just move from the zone instead.
The Incubator will also cast

whilst on low health. When the cast completes, the mob will explode, killing itself and dealing damage to all players within 10 yards.
The

should be interrupted via CC, the Incubator should be killed before the cast can complete or players should move 10 yards away from it to avoid the damage.

deals a burst of damage and applies a 9 second poison dot to a random player.
This debuff should be dispelled if possible. If no poison dispel is available, the dot must simply be out healed.

s also have several important abilities.
The

s have a 2 sec interruptible cast called

. This will throw a potion at an injured trash mob, healing them for a large amount.
This cast must be interrupted as a high priority. As the adds usually cast this simultaneously, AoE silences and crowd control spells can be used to interrupt multiple

s at once.

s, dealing a burst of damage and applying a 9 second poison dot to a random player in the same way as when cast by

s.
This debuff should still be dispelled if possible.
Upon reaching full health, both enemies will run to a nearby egg and cast

.
If the cast completes the enemy will gain
胚胎精力
, healing them for 10% of their maximum health and applying a magic buff that increases their damage done by 30%.
The
吸取
cast is not interruptible via kicks, instead the group can use crowd control effects to stop the cast, such as stuns, displacements and hard CC.
The group should be cautious when engaging multiple enemies at once, as stopping all
吸取
casts simultaneously is a difficult task.
Once all trash have been removed from the Clutch of the Great Mother area,

will emerge in the middle of the room. Players should ensure that they are not stood in this area as they may otherwise pull the boss prematurely.

Abilities & Strategy
莫芮克莎
is a single phase encounter in which the group needs to deal with several snake adds that hatch at the sides of the room, whilst also dodging the boss as she occasionally burrows around the encounter area!
Move out of the
劇毒之息
frontal cone!
Whilst above ground,
莫芮克莎
will cast two abilities.
She will face the direciton of a random player and cast
劇毒之息
. After a 2.5 second cast, she will spew forth a breath which deals a burst of nature damage to all players within a cone.
莫芮克莎
will not change direction once she begins her cast. Players need to use this time to move out of the incoming breath.
The
劇毒之息
will also leave behind several
毒水池
patches, which deal ticking damage to anyone who stands within them. Players should avoid standing within these pools as much as possible.
This ability will only be cast in
Phase 1 and 3
莫芮克莎
's other cast is
目盲沙塵
. After the 2.5 second cast completes, she will deal a burst of damage to the entire group and will blind any players looking at her for 5 seconds.
All players need to face away from
莫芮克莎
before her
目盲沙塵
cast completes, as the blind will make the player very vulnerable for 5 seconds.
This ability will only be cast in
Phase 2 and 3
Upon reaching 60% health,
莫芮克莎
will
鑽地
under the ground and begin to circle the encounter space. Players can see her location via the
塵霧之雲
s kicked up as she tunnels underneath the ground.
Players who are ran into by
莫芮克莎
during this time will take a burst of physical damage and be knocked back. Players should do their best to avoid her movements.
Occasionally she will path through from one side of the encounter space to the other, by cutting through the middle.
This event is announced via the announcement text: Merrektha Burrows across the battlefield.
Kill the Knot of Snakes to removethe stun from your teammate!
As soon as
莫芮克莎
burrows under the ground, four
劇毒爬蛇
s adds will spawn at the edge of the room. The tank should quickly gain threat on these enemies whilst the DPS cleaves them down.
The
劇毒爬蛇
s will apply

poison debuffs to the tank. These debuffs deal ticking damage over 6 seconds and they can stack.
The healer should dispel the debuffs if possible. If a poison dispel isn't available, the healer simply needs to out-heal the damage.
Approximately 30 seconds after going under the ground,
莫芮克莎
will reemerge and begin to fight the party once again.
Upon reaching 45% health, she will once again
鑽地
for another 30 seconds. Instead of fighting
劇毒爬蛇
s, the group will now fight four
沙殼猛蛇
adds.
The
沙殼猛蛇
s will spawn a
塵霧之雲
. This cloud will cause all damaging spells to miss any enemies that reside within it.
The tank should gain threat on these
沙殼猛蛇
s as soon as they spawn. When a
塵霧之雲
spawns the tank should move the adds out of it as soon as possible.
On
Heroic difficulty
,
莫芮克莎
will cast
蛇群
on a random non-tank player. This will stun the player for 15 seconds whilst dealing ticking damage to them.
The group must destroy the Knot of Snakes enemy that has entangled the player as this will end the effect.
The quicker and more efficient way to deal with the mechanic is to use hard crowd control spells such as Imprison on this enemy. Doing so will cause it to instantly despawn, freeing the entangled player.

Move away from

, head northeast towards the next encounter. Along this path, the group will encounter 3 uniquely named trash mobs.

adds have a 2 sec interuptible cast cast

. This will apply a magic buff which increases their damage done by 50% for 1 minute.
The group should interrupt this cast as a high priority. If a cast goes through, the buff can be purged.
When an

. After a 3 second uninterruptible cast, they deal a burst of damage to all players within 40 yards.
This effect removes all stacks of

Although the cast can be kicked, players should instead use their kicks on the

cast, as these enemies are engaged at the same time.
The Stormcallers will also

down on a random players location. A few moments after marking the location, a bolt of lightning will strike down, dealing damage to anyone nearby.
All players must pay attention to the swirly circles on the ground and move from them to avoid being zapped!
The group will need to make their way through a section of rotating lightning balls called
飄散電光
.
Being hit by
飄散電光
will deal a burst of nature damage to the player and send them back to the beginning of the section.
Bide your time and move through the section. You cannot leap over or be Life Gripped over the section, however teleport abilities can be used to skip through the area.

enemies will frequently deal damage to random nearby players with their

ability.
This cannot be avoided, instead the healer must simply out-heal the incoming damage.
These mobs will also mark the location of a random player. Moments later they will teleport to that location, dealing damage to all players within 5 yards.
The group needs to look out for these

zones and move from them.
As they always spawn on the location of a player, the group should remain relatively stacked up to keep the enemies within cleave DPS range.
After all

enemies have been killed,

will appear in the middle of the room.
Players, once again, should not stand in the middle of the space as they may prematurely engage the boss.

Abilities & Strategy

is a single phase encounter in which the group must intercept energy beams that would otherwise empower the boss.
Throughout the encounter,
加瓦茲特
will spawn

s around the encounter space. These energy cores will beam energy towards the boss, giving him energy.
Upon reaching 100% energy,
加瓦茲特
will cast

. This deals a burst of damage to the entire group and will reset
加瓦茲特
's energy back to 0.

also grants the boss a stack of

, increasing his damage done by 20%.

is permanent and will stack each time

Players can stand in the beams of energy that originate from the

s and travel towards the boss. Doing so will prevent

from gaining energy from that

Standing within the energy beam deals damage to the player every second and applies a stacking 10 second debuff which increases the damage taken from these

energy beams by 10%.
The entire group should take turns at soaking the
電流刺激
energy beams, swapping players away from beams when they reach around 10 stacks.
Do note that two Energy Cores can be active at any given time, meaning the group may need to soak two beams at once.
It is unlikely that the group will perfectly soak all energy going towards the boss, so the healer must be ready to top the group before

will also deal damage to the entire group via his

This ability initially deals relatively low nature damage, however this will become more deadly each time the boss gains a

damage increase stack.
This damage is unavoidable. The healer simply needs to keep the group topped up.

Notable Trash Mobs
After defeating

, the group needs to head north towards the last boss.
The group will be faced with another section of rotating

followed by a bridge that has lines of
飄散電光
flowing down them.
On this bridge players will encounter Energy Core pillar lookalikes that will slow the movement speed of nearby players by 50%.
The group needs to do it's best to reach the end of the bridge whilst dodging the
飄散電光
.
At the end of the bridge lies a
火花傳導者
. Engaging this enemy in combat will stop the
飄散電光
flowing down the bridge, which can be very useful for party members who struggle dodging the balls.
The
火花傳導者
will cast
電擊
on a random player. This 2 second cast should be interrupted as it would otherwise deal a moderate burst of damage to a random player.
It will also
呼喚閃電
down on multiple random locations. The group should avoid these locations as best they can.
Bring the Eye of Sethraliss to the Skull of Sethraliss!
The group will then enter the Bazaar of Watchful Eyes. The groups objective in this area is to gather one Eye of Sethraliss and carry it over to the Skull of Sethraliss, giant stone snake head at the north of the instance.
The locations of the Eye of Sethraliss orbs are marked on the mini-map.
Standing near the snake head whilst carrying the eye will cause the eye to pop into the snakes head.
After both eyes are present in the snakes head, the group can right click on the snake to pass through its mouth and into the rest of the instance.
On
Mythic Difficulty
, players must carry both Eyes to the Skull of Sethraliss.
Whilst holding the Eye of Sethraliss, the player gains the
眼球
debuff, reducing their movement speed by 70%.
The player will gain access to the
投擲
extra action button. This allows them to lob the orb through the air to a target location, where a player can grab it and hold the Orb themselves.
Passing the orb down a line of players is the most time efficient way of moving the orb towards the giant stone snake head.
Taking any damage or getting close to any enemy NPC will cause the player to drop the Eye of Sethraliss on the ground, where it can be picked up by a player... or an enemy!
To make the job of moving orbs around more difficult, this entire area is swarming with

s and
寶珠守護者
s.
無信徵召兵
s can be found in large numbers and will only melee hit their highest threat target.
The tank should maintain threat on all of these enemies to ensure that they do not hit the orb carrier.
寶珠守護者
s will not attack players directly, instead they will run to the orb carrier and snatch the orb from their hands.
After this has been done, they will begin to carry the orb back to it's pedestal.
The group should use crowd control abilities whilst killing the
寶珠守護者
s to prevent them from reaching the orb carrier.
Do note that some
寶珠守護者
s can be found around the room in stealth. The party should go ahead of the orb carrier to clear any stealthy enemies out!
After
無信徵召兵
s or
寶珠守護者
s die, they will respawn after around a minute.
Once the Skull of Sethraliss has been opened, the group can progress down the last corridor towards the final boss. The group will face 3 uniquely named trash enemies in this area.
咒毒妖術師
s will cast
熔岩爆發
at a random target and will deal a burst of fire damage to the target.
This cast is uninterruptible and therefor the damage just needs to be out healed.
They will also apply
烈焰震擊
magic debuffs to random targets which deal damage over 15 seconds. This effect can be, and should be, dispelled.
心之守護者
will cast
心臟攻擊
on the tank, dealing a burst of nature damage to them and applying a 20% damage taken increase debuff which lasts 10 seconds.

The

is an interruptible 2 sec cast which will apply a 15 second magic debuff on them. This debuff incapacitates the target, preventing the player from using abilities or moving.
This magic debuff should be dispelled as a high priority, as the immobile player may be hit by a

lightning strike if it spawns on them.
After all trash has been cleared from the area, somebody needs to talk with the

to start the encounter.

Abilities & Strategy
瑟沙利斯化身
is a single phase encounter in which the group doesn't have a boss to kill. Instead the group must defeat adds to allow the healer to heal the
瑟沙利斯化身
.
When the
瑟沙利斯化身
reaches full health and all the adds are defeated, the encounter is complete.
Adds will spawn and prevent healing at the start of the fight, at 70% and 100% health.
Defeat the
咒毒妖術師
s to allow thehealer to heal on the boss.
The group must defeat the
咒毒妖術師
adds that are channelling
腐化
into the boss. This
腐化
cast reduces the healing taken by the
瑟沙利斯化身
by a large percentage.
The
咒毒妖術師
adds do not need to be tanked as they will not engage the group directly.
The group should aim to defeat these enemies as quickly as possible to allow the healer to output any meaningful healing onto the boss.
Throughout the encounter, the group will occasionally receive a 12 second nature damage dot called
脈衝
.
Damage from this ability is high, so the healer must focus their efforts on keeping the party healthy.
Killing all the
咒毒妖術師
adds will stop
脈衝
from being cast.
心之守護者
adds will spawn throughout the fight. This add needs to be picked up by the tank as it will directly engage the group in combat.
This enemy will cast
心臟攻擊
on the tank, dealing a burst of nature damage to them and applying a 20% damage taken increase debuff which lasts 10 seconds.
This ability is cast frequently enough for the damage taken increase debuff to stack.
The group should aim to kill the
心之守護者
as the highest priority to ensure that the tank does not take too much damage.
Use the
能量碎片
when the boss is notafflicted with
腐化
.
Upon death, the
心之守護者
will spawn an
能量碎片
at their location. Players can interact with this fragment to apply a 20 second buff to the boss called
生命之力
.
This
生命之力
buff causes the
瑟沙利斯化身
to receive an additional 1000 points of healing each time they are healed by any ability.
The group should wait until all
咒毒妖術師
s are dead before using this buff, as the boss will not have any
腐化
stacks during this time and will gain the most from the effect.
Once all
咒毒妖術師
adds have been killed, the group will have a 15 second window in which no
咒毒妖術師
or
心之守護者
adds will spawn. However, if the boss has not reached 40% (70% / 80% for second and third rotations), the adds will not spawn until the health reaches those breakpoints.
This time should be used by the healer to spam heal the boss before a new set of
咒毒妖術師
spawn.
Any player with healing abilities should assist the healer during this time, as their spells are going to be more useful than usual due to the
生命之力
buff.
After 15 seconds, a new set of
咒毒妖術師
s will spawn. The fight will repeat this cycle until the group dies or the boss is healed to 100%.
Kill or soak the
疫病蟾蜍
s beforethey reach the healer!
Many
疫病蟾蜍
s will spawn randomly around the encounter area when
天降蟾蜍
occurs. This will occur every 25 seconds while the
咒毒妖術師
s are alive with a final wave when the final
咒毒妖術師
dies.
These toad adds will run towards any healers they find. Upon contacting any player they will explode, applying a Plague disease debuff to them.
瘟疫
deals ticking damage over time and reduces the healing you do by 50%. This debuff can stack, however only the damage aspect of the ability will be increased, the healing reduction will remain at 50%.
The group should protect the healer as the toads move towards them, by either soaking the toads or by killing them off.
The toads can be crowd controlled in any way. Players should use this to ensure the healer doesn't receive the
瘟疫
.
In the event the healer receives the
瘟疫
debuff, they can be dispelled if the group has access to disease removing ability.
Lightning will strike down in the encounter area throughout the encounter. Players hit by the
心臟電擊
lightning will take a large burst of magic damage.
This should be avoided at all costs, as any incoming group damage takes the healers attention away from healing the boss.
Avoid standing in the
心臟電擊
lightning!
On
Heroic difficulty
, a
瘟疫醫生
add will spawn whilst
咒毒妖術師
adds are alive. These enemies act identically to the trash encountered before the encounter.

So I'm in a heroic Temple of Sethraliss right now. We just killed an

and none of us got any eye or anything. We can't open the stupid skull and finish this dungeon. Here is a screenshot after we killed a second mob. I'm not sure whether something is bugged or if we did something wrong.

I just spent an hour wiping to the first boss on a +10 Temple of Sethralis keystone, and it took us quite a while to figure to figure out why people were taking so much damage.
Adderis's Cyclone Strike ability appears to be bugged. This is the ability where Adderis turns and faces a direction, and then sends out several cyclones in that direction.
However, as the skill is currently functioning, these cyclones have no effect and are
purely visual
. What's actually happening is as soon as the cyclones appear, all characters in a frontal cone of the boss
instantaneously take the full damage as though they had been hit
, regardless of how far from the boss and cyclones they are, sometimes instantly getting hit twice for reasons that are unclear.
Given that this ability overlaps with static shock, ranged characters can be one-shot with little chance to dodge out of the way.

On Mythic+ Keystones you can usually kill the first boss before Arcing Dash comes out, however at around +4 this move will start to one shot you. Either burn these bosses quick, or pop heavy defensive cd's when this ability comes out.
I think it is improperly scaled since in the beta a +7 wouldn't do nearly as much damage as the Arcing Dash on +4 (~141k damage).
If you are looking to progress lust to burn them before this ability comes out.

AKA the worst in-game dungeon mechanic ever conceived for WoW.

Merektha, deceptively, is the most difficult fight in the instance, especially on high keystones and tyrannical mode. She lures you into a false sense of complacency on phases 1, 2, and 3, but then things start to get ugly in phase 4 and absolutely go to hell on phase 5, often leading to wipes at 8% to 18%.
The key point is that, every time she pops back up from burrowing (when she starts phases 3 and 5), she starts casting her abilities much more frequently. If phase 5 goes on too long, you'll find yourself surrounded by goo until you can't avoid standing in it, blinded, and stunned by a knot of snakes. You thought you were doing well, but all of a sudden, everyone is dead.
So, how to win?
First, spend your bloodlust on phase 5 here. The next boss has a worse reputation, but good mechanics management can win there without lust. Do not spend lust on the pull. The phase transition is health-based. All an early lust will do is get you to the hard part sooner.
Second, keep the goo on the edges of the room as long as possible. Move to the far outside of the room, and stay near the boss. Lead the boss around the room with the tank in front and everyone else behind and outside (away from the center) of the boss. That way, when she sprays goo, it won't go in the middle of the room. Don't be tempted to run in when she pops up at the start of phases 3 and 5. Note that the room is much bigger than the nice-looking flat part. Use the whole room.
Third, in phase 5, focus fire on the boss. She summons adds too quickly to clear them all. You simply have to kill her before the fight gets out of control. You may be able to clear some by cleaving off of the boss.
Fourth, enter phase 5 cleanly. That just means making sure the adds are dead and your party is on the edge of the room.
Pay strict attention to mechanics. Getting hit with the blind will usually wipe your attempt, so make sure it doesn't happen. Free fellow party members from the knot of snakes instantly. Hitting the knot with most crowd control will kill it instantly, so do that, possibly with a macro set up for the purpose. If one of your players has a crowd-control ability with no cooldown, assign him to take care of the knot (and yell if it is on him). That will reduce target-switching and increase DPS on the boss. There will be dust clouds that will stop your DPS, so keep the boss out of them. Stay in formation near each other to make it easy to clear the knot.
Finally, don't get complacent. Phase 5 really is hard on higher difficulties, so be ready for that.

This is my least favorite dungeon because of the orbs. By far, the worst part of this dungeon is the lightning orbs or "loose sparks." Games are supposed to be fun, not feel like it was made to intentionally frustrate the player. I'd rather they removed that in favor of trash mobs, at least then, you'd live and die by your sword and there are mechanics you can apply based on doing your homework and applying your abilities.
