You need to have Bloodsail Admiral Title from the Achievement "Avast Ye, Admiral!" from reaching honored with Bloodsail Buccaneers it seems as the NPC calls me a Bloodsail Admiral when i walk around him and has the toy for sale. others who came past me who did not have the achievement cant seem to buy the toy

For those who can't find 愛德華‧特克提 who sells this, he is SOUTH of Booty bay - Wild Shore, coords 39.84 - worgen in a pirate costume standing by a bonfire.

Some notes about this toy.
-It is sold by Edward Techt, on the shore south of Booty Bay (Called "Wild Shore" on the map).
-It puts a pirate flag on your back, like those alliance/horde banners that you get with prestige.
-You do NOT need to be exalted with Bloodsail Buccaneers.
-To buy this item, you merely need to have the feat of strength Avast ye, Admiral!, which requires attaining honored reputation with the Bloodsails. If you got the title and then killed all the Bloodsails in order to get back on good terms with the goblins, fear not; you can still buy the toy, as long as you have the feat. I can confirm this, as I just bought the toy while being 0/36000 hated with Bloodsail Buccaneers.

For those looking to grind the Bloodsail Buccaneers reputation on Pirates' Day using the phased Booty Bay trick: you can't. Sadly, to get to the phasing quest you need to kill a bunch of Bloodsails which turn friendly and are unkillable on Pirates' Day. You'll have to grind the old-fashioned way, or wait a year.

I've written an AddOn just for Pirate's Day in WoW, also known as "International Talk Like a Pirate Day". It allows you to randomly send a message to General Chat or Yell. Pirate themed of course. Quite a large collection of exhortations to draw upon. Also Tooltips for pirate related factions, items, NPCs and spells. You can grab it at Curse or WoW Interface.

It really is a lot of fun when several players are using this AddOn at once! I hope you enjoy using it as much as I had fun making it! Yarrr!

A bit disappointed with this. The various pennant flags, rewarded from some of the PVP prestige ranks, have basic physical interactions with your character and the game world, things like gravity and inertia, but this new flag does not.

It can't have been that much harder to do it properly, than to simply copy and paste one of the pennant models, change the textures and make a few tweaks here and there and yet they didn't.

Oh well, the pennant flags started out like this new one, rigid with no physical interactions, the physics was added later. Here's hoping they eventually update this one to add in the physics later too.

1. Join any Bloodsail rep farm group.
2. "Tick "At war" with Booty Bay in your reputation tab", tnx Tinkerer
3. At honored (~2 hours) fly to Fleet Master Firallon, take the quest Avast Ye, Admiral!. Finish it. Buy a toy from Edward Techtd.

P.S.
There are some pre-quests for farming The Bloodsail Buccaneers reputation. But during the event you can't finish one of the early quest - Details of the Attack. So the classic way is not available today, but they can fix it in any time

PLEASE NOTE: Just joining a Bloodsail rep group and killing Bruisers will NOT necessarily give you Bloodsail rep! I was at Hated with Bloodsail, joined a group and got to Hated with Booty Bay, and got NO rep for Bloodsail!

I'm having a very hard time finding out why, but it appears you may have to be Neutral or better with Bloodsail at the start for killing Bruisers to give more rep.

And, apparently, the only way to get to Neutral with them is to pick up a quest in Booty Bay . . . that requires you NOT to be Hated with Booty Bay.

So . . . it looks like I'm schrod.

Those who want to farm for the rep, do NOT join a group for more than 5. The rep with Bloodsail Buccaneers won't go up.

I just got the toy. It takes less than 30 minutes:

- join 5 men group to farm the rep until you get "friendly" with Buccaneers
- fly all the way at the bottom of the coast and you will find a couple of ships, in one of them there is Fleetmaster Firallion, pick up his quest
- once you completed the quest go to the near shore where you can see a pirate camp with a worgen vendor that will now sell you the toy

Note for tailors: since you'll be in this area anyway to pick up your 黑旗 toy from Edward Techt, if you'll go just northeast and find 怯懦的克羅斯比 /way 40.8, 80.22 then he'll sell you 圖樣：上將之帽! It's a limited supply item so if he isn't offering it when you see him, check him back with him later on.

it was impossible to farm the rep on my server as after a while the mobs bounced u out of booty bay. Even the ones that spawn by the boat to Ratchet. We couldn't even do proper world pvp. Bit pissed off at not getting my flag because I was technically prevented from engaging the mobs I was meant to be grinding.

This is one of the coolest toys out there, and one of those you might use A LOT, by macroing with other stuff.
Low CD, 'permanent' (untill you die or click it off, but can easily reapply it), and CAN BE USED BY LOWBIES. Just tested on a lvl 3 character I use to play the AH hehe.

Me goodies gunna sell with style on the AH now, yarrrr.

Another 'permanent' toy is the 黑冰, and it DOES HAVE A VISUAL EFFECT ON YOUR CHARACTER TOO, it puts a big black diamond ring on your character's finger, and it SHINES, sparky.

For those starting fresh (unless you have the achivement you can skip to the getting toy part). Go to Booty Bay. Find ya reputation tab and then find Booty Bay. Put the "at war" on and start killing.

Upon getting friendly with Bloodsail Buccaneers and hated with Booty Bay go to Fleet Master Firallon at /way 46.71 95.26 (below deck) and the the quest Avast Ye, Admiral. Kill the two NPC and you get back to Fleet Master to get a hat and a tittle.

Then go to Edward Techt at /way 39.78 84.30 to buy the toy.

Seems to display no matter what you do to your character. I've tested the fish form from Underlight Angler and the Shell form from the WQ in Nazjatar and both still show the flag. I assume it shows the flag for similar transformations.

When you factor in everything you'll have to do to repair your Steamwheedle Cartel rep afterwards, getting this little toy and the 'Avast Ye Admiral!' achievement which gives you the pirate hat and the 'Bloodsail Admiral' title, is all together a very expensive and time consuming process. Is it worth it? Yeah. But know what you're getting yourself into before you dive into all this, because it's a serious pain in the behind.

So my Toy Box is telling me there are 722 Toys available. The Jolly Roger toy is not showing up as 'collected' or 'not collected'. I assume this toy is one of those hidden toys? Has anyone else experienced this?

Pirates Day next week. I'll rock up and see what happens

UGH! I have had the Bloodsail/Avast achievement since June 2018 and never knew about this toy! I was looking to see if there was anything new for Pirate's Day (LOL, as if!) and saw someone's comment about this toy. One would think that if you go to all the trouble to get certain achievements, like the Insane title, they would give you some kind of a hint!
