Although, to be fair, at least there is the toy that lets you put out a clothes chest. I would have LOVED that for Hallow's End.

Fancy hat for the elite, I guess .... WowHead still lists 36 that drop the regular Red Winter Hat so I am guessing that is still available for the little people?

You can farm this from heroic Court of Stars until you get it to drop. Unlike other heroic dungeons, you don't get locked out, nor do you get loot locked. This may have been intentional by Blizzard since there isn't a normal mode for this dungeon (though that doesn't seem to be true for Seat of the Triumvirate).

I repeatedly que'd up as tank. It took me 7 back-to-back runs to get the hat to drop. Good luck!

In 2017 this hat also drops from Saprish (the second boss) in the Seat of the Triumvirate. I got mine from heroic difficulty.

Edit: Also, it appeared in my bags when the boss died (before I looted the chest). Kind of how legendaries appear. So it seems there are more ways to get it in 2017 than just CoS :)

Got it from Talixae Flamewreath in the Court of Stars. It took me:
1x M & 1x HC Saprish in The Seat of the Triumvirate
1x M & 2x HC Talixae kills.
Also confirming that HC CoS can be reseted.

Looted this on my 8th run of Court of Stars Heroic, solo. Unfortunately it may be advisable to separate off and kill some of her henchdemons. At ilevel 360 Feral she / they made short work of me with all their buffs up. Maybe high level tanks etc will be OK.

Can confirm that Talixae Flamewreath still drops this hat in BfA as of December 19th 2018. However, CoS is quite annoying to solo due to all the little events required to advance each boss. Took me 9 or 10 tries, but got my hat tonight. :)

As of 8.1, Seat of the Triumvirate is still not available on Normal difficulty, and Heroic cannot be reset.

Tip to skip first boss, when you get off the boat go up the stairs and once you exit the building, double jump on the row of plants to your right and keep double jump spamming until you reach the top and glide over the barrier. Note you will not have a way to pull the adds away but on normal it is pretty easy to kill with the adds.

Talixae Flamewreath (in CoS) still drops this hat in BfA as of December 27th 2019 on Heroic (CoS is currently Heroic and Mythic only). Took me 12 tries.

I'm a 429 Boomkin. As previously pointed out and still applicable I found it quicker/more comfortable to hit Felbound Enforcers (They are dotted on Minimap) around the periphery which will pull away a single lieutenant each. There are 3 of them and found it optimal for me to down them all first.

Can confirm this drops from Skycap'n Kragg in Freehold Normal, I just got it on the 2nd attempt ever.
I think this makes it the easiest boss to farm and you don't have to bother doing Court of Stars at all.

Posted in 9.1.5, the fastest farm for the Finely-Tailored Red Hat would be farming Normal Freehold... Skycap'n Kragg, the first boss like 20 yards from the entrance drops it... he doesn't wear it, but he definitely drops it. Aside from others confirming it drops, I got it myself in about 12 kills... which doesn't take long considering how close it is to entrance... much closer than CoS 2nd boss (the previous recommendation to farm... but CoS's 2nd boss is a long run from the entrance). As-of 9.1.5, FreeHold is the fastest farm for this hat!

I went for Talixae Flamewreath in Court of Stars because as someone who just solos stuff I found this the easiest because I can't solo BFA stuff just yet. Also it's not horribly long each time. I broke this up between 3 of my lvl 60s (mage, hunter, and paladin) with no problems. I have the gear from the Pre Dragonflight patch so I'm at ilvl 252. Took me about 14 attempts in all and the hat finally dropped.

Note: I was looking for it to flash up at the bottom with the rest of my main loot but it didn't.
It's a green item that will show up in the chat box when you loot.
