UPDATE: Rare solves in Legion will be obtained in a different way than previous expansions - see below!

This flavour item is one of the new Rare solves in Legion Archaeology.

There will be 3 new races of artifacts to unearth - Demon, Highmountain Tauren, and Highborne.

The achievement for unearthing all of the Common Legion archaeology finds is 小心輕放.
The achievement for unearthing all of the Rare Legion archaeology finds is 火眼金睛.

Obtaining Rare Solves in Legion

Based on the latest information, Legion Archaeology Rare solves WILL NOT be obtained from surveying, but rather will be part of an ongoing story questline. Every 2 weeks a quest will appear from the Archaeology trainer (博學者達莉諾絲), granting a Rare project at its completion. Note that level 110 will be required for these quests.

In older Dalaran 博學者達莉諾絲 was in the Legerdemain Lounge, but she is now located in Things of the Past, a shop on the northeast side of the Magus Commerce Exchange, between the Forge of Fate and the Like Clockwork, the Engineering shop.

小鬼產生器	Demonic	Trinket. Item level 815. Requires Level 110. +1220 Critical Strike. Equip: Your damage and healing spells have a chance open a portal to Mardum, sending a stream of imps at your target or your target's opponent.
卡林達斯的鑰匙	Highborne	Use: Gain access to a secret side room within Black Rook Hold (one of the new 5-man dungeons in Legion). Uncertain whether this is consumed on use (and whether the unlock is permanent).
龍圖士	Demonic	Battle Pet. Teaches the Humanoid pet 龍圖士, a Treasure Demon with a little pack and books on it's back.
Shard of Sciallax	Highmountain Tauren	Relic. Item level 805. Various types. Binds to Battle.net Account. Can be placed in an Artifact Weapon to increase its item level (by 31) and grants a rank of a Minor Trait.
獎勵之岩頸環	Highmountain Tauren	Necklace. Item level 815. Requires Level 110. +789 Stamina. Has 3 Prismatic sockets, with a Leech Socket Bonus.
年輕瑪諾洛斯之血	Demonic	Putting this in your Obliterum Forge will produce some 滅塵 + 微型滅塵.
納薩拉斯學院的鑰匙	Highborne	Use: Visit a time-lost version of the Nar'thalas Academy. Use the keys again to return to the present. (5 Sec Cooldown). Nar'thalas Academy is an area in the middle of Legion zone 艾蘇納. Using this will unlock access to a number of quests and minigames.
艾切羅的靈魂	Highmountain Tauren	Mount. A ghostly moose. "The spirit of Huln Highmountain's pet moose."
《埃雷達斯的紫色山丘》	Demonic	Consumable item. Use: Read the book to empower your artifact weapon. Grants Artifact Power to your Artifact weapon.

If you're trying to figure out how to use this, you have to draw points for the flying area by using the item multiple times in different places. when the buff expires, it will draw the starfield which you can fly in. this will incur a 15 minute cooldown

This item comes from the quest named "Echoes of My Ancestors", you do the initial 25 solves then you turn it in to get another quest to go dig somewhere and find the artifact and when you turn that quest in you get this item. It has a 15 min CD and it stays in your bags, though it becomes really hard to see in the bags after use. Hopefully in the future this will become a toy instead of using bag space =)

The area that you go to in order to get this item(Starlight Beacon) will flag you as PvP if you click on the giant pearl in the middle. There are also elites that will kill you in about 5 hits. A good suggestion would be to have a group of people looking to do this quest and clear out the area first.

When you click first time you will get a buff that lets you draw a zone to stand and fly up, and after that buff is gone you and your friends can fly up. Can't use in instances of course. But they nerfed it the 2nd day they gave this item to us. Why ? Why making items useful and then nerfing to ground?

Now you can only fly up 15 yards with 15 minutes cd. Thanks blizz

I found this item as one of my favorite "show offs" but it still has many useful uses.

For example you can use this to help you complete those Kirin Tor world quests where you need to travel through bubbles. Works best on the one in Suramar, where you can simply draw a square right under the orb under the bridge and then just simply fly up to it to click it.

You can also use this when you get stuck on certain spots, or reach higher grounds that are normally unreachable.

It simply has unlimited uses...

If you want to make fun, queue for the famous "Drowned Mana" fishing in Dalaran and draw the field under the whole party, they all get confused wtf is goin on it's pretty hilarious.

My biggest question is, what if you get someone else with you and they draw the field on top of your flying field? Did someone try it yet? I wonder if you can make a tall pillar where everyone can fly high in the sky, that would be awesome...

I got this today, and naturally tried it out.

Guess what? No cooldown. At all.

EDIT: After trying it out later in a different zone, I got the 15 minute cooldown as intended. Got excited for nothing. :(

Let you fly freely for around a minute on 16th September 2016 then on the 18th it was changed to be a useless toy that pops you up in the air. Sad.

Can be combined with Goblin Glider/Emerald Winds/Rocfeather Skyhorn Kite to give you a slight boost in height to glide from.

This toy works beautifully for the Kirin Tor "Magic of Flight" WQ near Moonguard Stronghold in Suramar. Can just fly up and complete eh quest instead of fighting with the buggy bubbles.

Things I've noticed:

I somehow was able to fly outside the field and managed to fly around in Dalaran without restrictions, save for the other factions base. I think this was somehow related to Glyph of Disguise, because the time my current disguise from a pickpocketed enemy ended I fell back down and couldn't fly anymore. This was way past the starlight field had ended.

You can totally sabotage the wine-making quest at the Twilight Vineyards, by drawing a field around the vat. If someone is prompted to jump, they can't satisfy the vintners request.

This can be used for more than flying, you can use it to become a starman for 10 minutes every hour.

Have a pet out, and make sure you have Narcissa's mirror and the magic pet mirror. Use the starlight beacon, when you become a starman use Narcissa's mirror on your pet to turn it into a little starman. Then walk out of the effect, and use the magic pet mirror on your pet to turn yourself into a starman for 10 minutes. You can do this every hour due to the cooldown on the mirrors. If you have a reflecting prism you can turn your whole raid group into starmen 8)

Blizzard development team, please give archeology quest rewards appropriate to time invested for completion. Even the top reward of the spirit moose mount is only a riding mount. Abandoned, again. Grateful to wowhead and this community of contributors for letting me know archeology quest rewards are still not worth the time.

What a worthless thing for such a time investment. Furthermore, this is not marked as a toy only making it that much worse. Unless you really need this for the achievement, I would save yourself a lot of time and skip this.

The quest 博學者達莉諾絲 offers changes every other week(Every quest is up for 2 weeks), in the same order as they are listed above.

These quests require Legion Expansion and Character-level 45+ and are available to both Horde and Alliance.

That sends you to 泰瑟連‧血腥看守者 where you will pick up 先祖回音
Then you will get the quest 一線希望, which rewards the 星光信標

Blizzard, please explain why this has not mode the "toy" list yet?

Given a bunch of random stuff has already been added to the toy list, I don't see why so much other crap has to sit in my bank taking up space, instead of being a toy that any alt can get some use out of. Such items currently cluttering up my bank that should really be given toy status include:

Corrupted Primal Obelisk it's Draenor only anyway.
Carved Drinking Horn We have plenty of health toys, why not mana?
Obsidian Frostwolf Petroglyth Minor Rested XP Buff*
Flight Master's Whistle usable for known flight points
Oralius' Whispering Crystal tired of getting this on every alt.
Repurposed Fel Focuser same, BFA upgrade of above**.
Brawler's Bottomless Draenic Strength Potion. currently serves no purpose, but the free slot would be nice for when the Areana returns
Anti-Doom Broom what was this even for? lol
Blazing Sigil of Ordos currently a stack item, easily changable to a toy
Thunderlord Grapple Limited zone use but it's not a quest specific item.
Automated Critter Defense Cannon Seriously why do they not make this stuff as toys to begin with? Has 10 charges currently
Edwin Van Cleef Costume has a bunch of charges, has been given every Anniversary anyways.

*Found out checking it on Wowhead, I never got to use it. Dunno if it is a consumable, or reusable, but given it's only rested xp, it could work as a toy, I believeit only provides one bar anyway.
**For the price at the time (rep and a ton of currency), this should have been account wide anyway. I still use this in SL lol
