These used to be really hard to obtain. Prior to patch 4.0.6, they were dropped only by the High Priestess of Thaurissan, who replaced moira bronzebeard in the Emperor battle in BRD if the entire party had completed the Fate of the Kingdom questline or its horde equivalent - something almost nobody did, as it required multiple quests outside the dungeon and several BRD runs to complete.

They now drop from Moira if she dies during the fight regardless of quest status, and are a rather nice piece of plate.

A friend of mine wanted these for transmog. We tried killing Moira on 2 of my chars, and she did NOT drop anything.

I relogged to an old TBC char from another realm who has done the quest line. He invited me via RealID, and when we entered the dungeon, we were able to enter the same one. Killing her the same way, she DID drop the items.

He could not roll on blue items dropped by Moira, BUT I was able to loot them and then trade them to him.

Still running for the shoulders, but the point is, if you want an item off of Moira, find someone who's done the chain, and have them join with you--it can be anyone on EU if you're EU or US if you're US.

Since no one could give a updated answer to this for patch 5.4.7 SoO; I ran a long redundant test just to make sure. I first chose an alt that I knew never completed the Fate of the Kingdom quest line and ran her nonstop for a week several times a day recording the items that dropped. I found that what IMissThottbot has posted to be still true. The only items that ever dropped for my test toon were from the Emperor Dagran Thaurissan loot table usually a total of 2 items.

I then had a friend bring in a character they knew had completed the quest. We then had loot from both Emperor Dagran Thaurissan and Princess Moira Bronzebeard loot table to drop for a total of 3 items. Problem was I could only see and roll on the items from Emperor Dagran Thaurissan loot table while my friend could see all the items from both NPC loot tables and roll/pickup them up.

After the dual run; I went back and solo on a character I knew had completed the quest line and same result as with my friend; only this time I too could see items from both NPC loot tables drop for a total of 3 items one being the shoulders.

Conclusion if you never completed the quest line you will need to find someone who has to go with you to get the shoulders since you cannot go back to do the quest line with its removal.

Just want to put this out there in case someone else is curious about whether these drop or not...

I received these shoulders today on a character that had never done the quest before (and I'm pretty certain I haven't done it on any character). Not sure if Moira is meant to drop loot all the time now but she did for me. Got it on the 6th kill.

Has anyone seen this drop since 7.3? It shows as a drop from General Angerforge now, but no matter what I do, I can't seem to get them to drop for me. All I get is gold on my Holy Paladin (which would have a 100% drop chance for this item since nothing else can drop for a Holy Paladin from that boss.). Any other spec has the Axe or the trinket drop.

As of 7.3.2 these seem to no longer drop.

They were originally High Priestess of Thaurissan and Princess Moira Bronzebeard prior to 7.3.2. When the 7.3.2 patch dropped and they were cleaning up items in various dungeons to support the future Personal Loot feature for dungeons and adding mail / extra gear to bosses they moved this item, along with many other in BRD. This item was then moved to General Angerforge as noticed in the Dungeon Journal.

I have now cleared BRD close to about 200-300 times on various plate classes and have not seen this item once. My main test subject is my paladin who ran Holy and received nothing but gold off of him, this is the only item that should drop for Holy Spec Paladins according to the Dungeon Journal. After 200-300 runs I should have seen it drop at least once and have spoke to many people who have been running it for this item only with no sign.

So for some reason or another 7.3.2 made it so this item no longer drops. Currently it is still not implemented and doesn't look like it will be. Myself and many others have put in bug tickets with nothing happening so far.

Edit: To further update as of Patch 8.1 these are still not dropping, despite being in the Dungeon Journal. They did remove Fluctuating Cloak from the DJ for another boss, but opted to leave these in indicating they drop, but so far out of about 500 runs between a collective group they have not been spotted once. I would suggest keep putting in bug tickets until it's fixed (like Avatar in Crypts was in 8.1) or they just remove it from the Dungeon Journal altogether.

AS OF 8.3.7 GENERAL ANGERFORGE CAN NOW DROP THE EBONSTEEL SPAULDERS

After farming around 50 kills of Angerforge with no luck, I contacted a GM to ask about the issue. According to the GM, The item does not exist in their database, and as such, the Dungeon Journal loot page marks this item as dropping from him incorrectly

The ALL THE THINGS Discord has officially marked this item as unobtainable after they offered a 400k gold bounty to the first person to get the item to drop and take a screenshot of the loot window. There have been no recorded drops of this item since 7.3.

EDIT: This is item is now available to players as of 9/11/2019! I just had one drop for me from General Angerforge!

Decided to submit my own ticket to Blizzard to attempt to keep this on their radar, and after my own clears up to Angerforge just shy of 50 times. I was open in that I was asking for both myself (and my time) and the community given that it still shows up in the Dungeon Journal, and that the item hadn't been seen in thousands and thousands of kills. That wonderful GM told me to check Wowhead. Of all the stupid business practices... they now want to direct you to a third-party website for in-game clarity about bugs.

Edit: I eventually got to a GM who was willing to actually look into the issue instead of redirecting out of the company. They said that the item should still drop, but that it might be "exceedingly rare." Maybe there's hope?

I can confirm as of 8.3.7 these shoulders actually drop from General Angerforge. Unfortunatly they dropped on my Hunter. But you guys can still get this item!
