Patch 5.3 New Battle Pets and Pet Battle Changes

New battle pets are being added to Burning Crusade raid bosses, as well as 雷霆王座 bosses.

Players can get a pet and title from PvP Pet Battles, 矮小的恐角龍 and Trainer.

Players can now see Battle Pet Tamers on their minimap.

The Beasts of Fable quests have been broken down into three smaller quests.

Bad luck protection has been implemented for Pet Supply rewards, and some quests have more rewards now.

Spectator mode has been added to all wild and player pet battles.

To motivate players, there are several achievements and rewards for winning PvP Pet Battles (different from actual PvP battlegrounds and arena).

殘忍寵物車輪戰高手: Win 10 PvP pet battles through Find Battle with a full team of level 25 pets.

復仇寵物車輪戰高手: Win 50 PvP pet battles through Find Battle with a full team of level 25 pets.

野蠻寵物車輪戰高手: Win 250 PvP pet battles through Find Battle with a full team of level 25 pets. Reward: 矮小的恐角龍

致命寵物車輪戰高手: Win 1000 PvP pet battles through Find Battle with a full team of level 25 pets. Reward: Trainer title.

Wins for PvP Pet Battles will be tracked in user statistics.

受訓的目的 is a new weekly quest encouraging players to PvP.

Quests

The Pandaren Spirit dailies (低語的熊貓人古靈, 燃燒的熊貓人古靈, 流動的熊貓人古靈, 雷霆的熊貓人古靈) are getting a nice perk. Their Pet Supply bags now have a chance to contain a family specific rare Battle-Stone, in addition to their respective vanity pets.

If you complete every pet battle daily in a single day, you can get an achievement and reward in 5.3: 標記的無瑕戰鬥石 and 最長的一天. That's a ton of battle pet quests to do--fortunately we have a guide to all the battle pet tamer quest locations!

Instead of one massive Beasts of Fable quest to fight the Elite Pets, there's three smaller ones in 5.3.

Hit chance is now displayed at the top of tooltips for all abilities.

When switching battle pets on and off your team, the game will remember what abilities you selected for the pets when swapping them back in.

Pets fighting against higher level opponents have had their miss rate reduced from 5% per level to 2%.

Species-specific Flawless Battle-Stones (list here) are now BoA.

Pet Tamers are now displayed on the mini-map.

Duels and Spectator Mode

Players can now duel in all dungeons and raids.

In less happy news, pet battles against wild and player pets are now viewable by others in the world. Not so great for PvP servers.

Players can see pets on both teams, as well as all of their attacks. You can't target any of the engaged pets though.

Players can see the battling player as well. This could have interesting implications on PvP realms, if players can be attacked while battling.

影遁 or 潛行 can put you into a special hidden mode to the opposite faction. Your team of visible battle pets still calls attention to you, but you show up as a random NPC which can be any race/class combo, usually wearing tier gear. So far I've been an orc warrior in Tier 6, orc hunter in Tier 5, forsaken, and human Death Knight.

Bonus damage has been added to many basic abilities, at the cost of slightly reduced accuracy.

Pet Battle Duels are now available in all dungeons and raids. Enjoy!
Pet Battles in the wild and duels are now viewable by other players in the world.
Hit Chance is now displayed for all abilities.
Abilities no longer have a base chance to miss or be dodged by opposing pets of the same level.
Reduced the chance to miss when fighting higher-level opponents from 5% per level to 2% per level.
A series of new achievements and rewards have been added for max-level matchmaking PvP pet battles
Wins for max-level, matchmaking PvP pet battles can now be tracked in statistics.
Battle pets' recent ability loadouts will now be saved when pets are swapped in and out of battle slots.

Fury of 1,000 Fists now has a 4-round cooldown,up from 3 rounds.

Battle Pets

A number of new battle pets have been added to the 雷霆王座 and 雷王島. Happy hunting!
Whispers from pet tamers in the north have spread word of an elusive new battle pet that can be found in the frozen tundras of Northrend. The 未誕生的華爾琪 awaits.
Battle Pet drops have been added to Burning Crusade raids. These new pets can be obtained from raid bosses in 卡拉贊, 風暴要塞 and 毒蛇神殿洞穴. Obtaining all of these new pets will reward players with a new battle pet, 多多!
小藍鯉, 小藍鯉, 小紅鯉, and 小白鯉 are now tradable, and can be caught more than once.
電化剃刀牙: swapped positions of 水中之血 and 麻痺震擊 abilities.
以太靈魂交易者 has been returned to his original, larger size.
泰達希爾嫩枝, 阿萎, and 紅樹苗’s Shell Shield has been replaced with a new ability: Ironbark.

Battle Pet Quests

A new achievement and reward has been added for characters that complete every Pet Battle daily quest in a single day.
Protection for bad luck streaks have been added to Battle-Stones from pet supplies bags and wild battles. Each bag or battle that does not provide a stone has a progressively better chance to award a stone to the player.
寓言裡的野獸 daily quest has been broken into three separate chapters. Players can now choose to do any or all of the chapters each day. Rewards have been modified to include a new consumable that will boost battle pet XP for a limited time.
All Pet Battle daily quests on Pandaria, Beasts of Fable and Spirit Tamer quests will now award experience, valor, and Lesser Charms of Good Fortune.
All Pet Battle quests will now award experience.
Increased the difficulty of elite pets on the Beasts of Fable quest.
A new weekly quest for max-level, matchmaking PvP pet battles has been added.
