The Broken Shore, originally known as Thal'dranath, is the location of the Tomb of Sargeras—and thus the Burning Legion's gateway into Azeroth. Gul'dan raised this island from the bottom of the sea during the Second War, and it served as the demonic army's base of operations during the Third invasion of the Burning Legion. The isle was once a portion of the city of Suramar, and the location of the Temple of Elune. During the Great Sundering, it was sent to the bottom of the oceans along with the majority of ancient Kalimdor's landmass, as it was situated outside the boundaries of the shield raised by Grand Magistrix Elisande's highborne.

During the Second War, Gul'dan raised the entire island from the bottom of the sea as he sought the power locked away inside the Tomb, promised to him by Medivh. As he opened the Tomb, he was torn to shreds by the demons inside. He had been set up and punished by the Legion for his betrayal. During the Third War, Illidan Stormrage entered the Tomb and recovered the Eye of Sargeras. Pursued by Maiev Shadowsong and her Wardens, he attempted to collapse part of the Temple on them for attempting to stop him from destroying the Lich King, and for trying to imprison him once more.

In Legion, after the war in Draenor, alternate Gul'dan, guided by his master Kil'jaeden's voice, managed to re-open the portal within the Tomb of Sargeras, ushering in the largest invasion of Azeroth by the Burning Legion since the War of the Ancients. Their ultimate goal was to finally summon the dark titan himself, Sargeras, to Azeroth.

There are several types (qualities) of beacons. Green beacons summon common portals, and you can loot them from any mobs in the area under the ship. Blue beacons are for empowering (extending) existing portals. These beacons drop by the mobs that pour out of portals. Purple beacons are to summon powerful Lieutenants and can be looted by their respective Beacon portals. Portals are up for 1 minute. If you summon one with a green beacon, then empower it with a blue beacon, it extends its duration to 2 minutes. Using a Lieutenant key summons empowered portals of that type. There's also an indicator above each portal to show if it's empowered already or not.

Every time players finish off a lieutenant, there's a 3-minute break time when the Sentinax recalls its portals and begins to recharge.

Some achievements are added to the Sentinax event. 我看是「魔遜」號 requires you to kill all Sentinax lieutenants. For 這裡需要支援, you need to summon portals (using beacons) in each location listed in the achievement. Remember, the beacons can only be used while you're under the Sentinax buff.

World Bosses, Rares, Portals & More

World Bosses

The Broken Shore has 4 World Bosses available in rotation only when the Nether Disruptor building in the zone is fully constructed and active: 布魯托魯斯, 梅里費克斯, 希娃旭, and 亞破克隆.

Rare Elites

Players can also find several named Rare Elite mobs on the isle who spawn regularly. If a Rare Elite is available, it's visible on the Broken Shore world map by a huge skull icon. These Rare Elites are up only for a period of time, and your character can loot their goods once a day per mob.

Once you loot a mob, you get saved to it and it won't show up on your map again until the next day. These Rare Elites generally drop 100-250 虛空裂片, some 大廳資源, Dauntless gear tokens, and a few 軍團之殞戰爭物資. There's one notable dreadlord, 赫爾努拉斯領主, who may be familiar from Dire Maul West to veteran Warlocks. Hel'nurath has the warlock class mount 厄運憤怒戰馬陰暗韁繩 listed in his inventory, though he's not willing to hand it over so easily.

Nether Portals

When the Nether Disruptor building is active, 不穩定的虛空傳送門s become visible across the Broken Shore. Players can activate these portals with a 虛空傳送門干擾裝置 sold by 戰爭法師卡斯琳 for . By activating the portal, a random Elite foe will be summoned, such as 不穩定的冥淵火 or 烈性小鬼. They drop Dauntless gear tokens, Sentinax beacons, and a few 軍團之殞戰爭物資. You can loot them several times per day per character.

Treasures

is the common treasure container of Broken Shore. These chests usually contain minor Artifact Power items, around 100 虛空裂片s, 大廳資源, a few 軍團之殞戰爭物資 and Dauntless armor tokens.

難以發現的蟲舌魔寶箱 is another type of treasure you can find on the island. These are also scattered around the whole place, but they become visible only when the Mage Tower building is active. Similar to Hidden Treasure Cache, these chests also contain the regular dose of Nethershards / Order Resources / Legionfall War Supplies, aside from minor artifact power items, Dauntless gear, and junk.

奇怪的蟲舌魔寶箱 Now this is the interesting thing regarding Broken Shore's treasures. This chest event is locked and starts from蜘蛛，是嗎？, offered by 挖掘者卡爾菈, southwest of the base. The quest chain will ultimately lead to a new 虛空裂片 vendor, 尋寶大師伊克斯睿吉. He's surrounded by treasure chests in a hidden cave that can be accessed only by completing the quest chain. Down there, for every you can get 蟲舌魔寶箱鑰匙s to test your luck in treasure opening, hoping for a massive amount of Nethershards and even cool rewards. This is one way to dump 虛空裂片s永恆硬幣dump

軍團之殞賞金 also contains follower item level upgrades (very rarely) and Dauntless tokens. Also worth mentioning that 團結之力 for handing the war supplies in can be affected by .
魔化花 and 淒冷棘 are -10% health, not just 10.
蟲舌魔寶箱鑰匙 can give up to 666,666 Nethershards, not just 100k!
軍團之殞戰爭物資 Are also awarded at about 2-5 from Hidden Wyrmtongue Caches, and 15-20 from elites spawned by 虛空傳送門干擾裝置 when they are available. Class hall missions give up to 100, as well as the elite strike mission giving 500.
虛空傳送門干擾裝置 mobs no longer give any nethershards, always drop a dauntless token and rare sentinax beacon, and have a daily limit of 50 lootable per character.
Veiled Wyrmtongue Caches do give at least more nethershards when the Mage tower is up.
~All the above 3 lines could probably do with being added in the brief 'currencies' summary as well.
Elite Strike Missions spawn from the Command Center now.
You can also earn 250 Legionfall rep from the Command Center dungeon world quest.
技藝：憤怒守衛魔典 is for scribes only, not warlocks, similarly 暗影魅魔魔典 is obtainable for Scribes when they /kiss 希艾絲 when she is available.
軍團之殞寶箱 is the reward for 10,000 paragon rep with Legionfall, and has a chance to contain 魔蝠孤兒.

Edit: Some more:

" " in the cache section has a small typo.
The Nether portal info just above that has the old information in it still.
混沌苜蓿 appears to have been buffed to 1000 mastery, or is variable, I'm not sure, I know I've seen a 1000 buff before though.
軍團之殞寶箱 also contains 75 Nethershards yay.
The rares also have a tiny chance to drop legendary gear, like the caches.
Rare world quests still only give 75 rep, not 120.
I think the Cathedral of Eternal Night dungeon world quests from the Command Center still only give 250 rep, unless it has been hotfixed again recently.

one thing that should be noted, when the command center is built you get 1 of 3 of the buffs war effort, worthy champion, heavily augmented. you do not get a legendary follower item every time its up. pleas add this to the guide. its helpful info and seams to be true as of i logged in to get a legendary follower item bag on a toon that got them last time and it was a different buff.

So, just a heads up. has a very slim chance of obtaining Legendary gear, as my DK manage to loot 巨龍配偶的冰冷之心.

One tiny correction in a quick glance through - in describing buffs taken from the various plants around Broken Shore, you forgot a "-" in one of them. Looks like Moongrass. Right now, it says "+ 10% Haste / 10% health", being the only one that doesn't reduce your health by 10%.

Okay so
my friend has only been pvp'ing and rarely did the zones, he's 110 and wants to go to the Broken shore again to do the rares and get the rep for armies of legion fall...

Where is quest 10,11 and 12? and what are they. I'm stuck. I can't get 'Defending Broken Isles' but I finished Altar of the Aegis (Dungeon quest)

Did Blizz remove the rare boss' name on mouseover on the map on the Broken Shore with 7.3 or a hotfix? Now all I see is the skull - I no longer can tell which boss it is on mouseover. It doesn't seem to be addon interference.

Can you tell me if the 21 quests listed are the only quests needed for breaching the tomb? and do i have to do it on all characters to unlock class mount? or is it account wide?

Amazing update regarding the achievement "Breaching The Tomb" which was required to complete on each char before you could get class mount quests.

When 9.1.5 arrives, this achievement is only required on one character in order to unlock the class mounts quests on any character!

"Players now only need to complete the achievement Breaching the Tomb on one character per account to begin the Legion class mount quests on the Broken Shore. Each character must still complete their class hall campaign, complete quests, and recruit their final order hall champion."
