Vendor Pets

Some awesome pets come from vendors in Legion, check them all out here!

From the Magical Menagerie in Dalaran, you can purchase 守夜猛鷲, 警報機器人, 魔化小豬, 下水道水母, 胖胖水母, and 育幼蜘蛛.

It also appears that a vendor during the 12th WoW Anniversary event will sell 柯基幼犬.

A mysterious NPC, The Mad Merchant, sells 星穹小河獸 for 1 million gold.

Several reputation vendors sell pets at various rep levels such as 宮廷手抄本, 陽焰華爾琪, 看守者幼鴞, 熄滅之眼, and 領角鹿寶寶.

Our favourites include 颶裔寶寶 from Stormwing Matriarchs in Stormheim and 冒牌布靈登 which drops from Blingtron 6000's gift!

Quest, Mission, and Achievement Petsquests

埃密苟莎: Awarded by the quest 生死邊緣 in Azsuna.

躁躁: Awarded by the quest 躁躁 in Val'sharah - save Grumpy from a burning house!

潛伏的梟羽幼獸: Awarded by the quest 你是在開玩梟喵 in Suramar.

灰喉幼熊: Awarded by the quest 收養小熊 in Val'shara.

天角幼鷹: Awarded by the quest 空蕩蕩的鳥巢 in Highmountain.

不受束縛的幼龍鰻: Awarded by the quest 帶些紀念品 in Suramar.

Our favourite achievement pet is definitely 極速蝸蝸, awarded by the achievement 極速蝸蝸！ - get ready to do some Snail Racing in Highmountain!

Pet Battle World Questshere

Included as a type of world quest you can do are beating NPC tamers around the Broken Isles.

There are 1-2 pet battle world quests available every day. Depending on the zone in which you do the quest, they offer reputation with Legion factions as well as pet-related items like 魔化戰鬥訓練石 and 機械戰鬥訓練石.

Pet Battle Tournament Area

So far, the Battle Pet Tournament Area on the outskirts of Dalaran is a frequent location of a pet battle world quest - there is no MoP-style tournament yet but the area is ripe for expansion!

The Pet Battle Tournament area also includes an NPC-run pet daycare where it seems your pets eat glitter and paste...

There is a rotating set of NPCs you can battle, but many of them hang out there all the time, including 博迪‧日始者, a blood elf surfer dude!

Pet-related Toys

娜曦莎之鏡: Use: Causes a companion pet to take on your appearance. (1 Hour Cooldown). Sold in Dalaran.

皮製寵物鍊: Use: A leather leash. Created by Leatherworkers.

皮製寵物床: Use: Place a bed for most Companion Pets. (20 Sec Cooldown). Created by Leatherworkers.

燃燒火圈: Use: Hold up a flaming hoop for your pet to jump through! (6 Sec Cooldown). Created by Leatherworkers.

繩索寵物鍊: Use: A rope leash. Newly added to the Toy Box.

鎖鍊寵物鍊: Use: A chain leash. Newly added to the Toy Box.

紅緞帶寵物鍊: Use: A red ribbon pet leash. Newly added to the Toy Box.

New Pet Achievements

There is a new "longest day" style achievement in Legion: 破碎群島戰役.

This achievement awards 壞掉的寵物傳送門, a permanent increase to the number of pets you can have on your account!

Another series of significant pet achievements is the family battle achievements which require to to use a single family of pets to defeat the 12 Master Tamers around the Broken Isles such as 水棲部隊.

These achievements all add up to the meta achievement 魔寵一家親 which rewards 夢魘樹人.

Currencies and Pets

Pet charms will still be the pet-related currency used to buy some new pets and other items in Legion: 娜曦莎之鏡, 魔化小豬, 守夜猛鷲, 秋葉小魔花, 胖胖水母, 小河馬

You can save some up now, but fear not, they will be awarded by quests in Legion as well.

Updated Pet Models

The old rabbit model is completely gone, as you can see on the 暗月兔 page.

The squirrel models are also changing, such as with the 灰白松鼠. This includes things like 機械松鼠.

All the updated models are available in the model viewer.

Quality of Life Changes

You will be able to finally increase the number of pets you can have at any given time through 壞掉的寵物傳送門

For better or worse, Howl Bomb is gone - this combination of abilities trivialized many PvE tamer battles.

Here is a list of waypoints to the locations of the various Pet Battle World Quests. Note that only 3 of these are active on a given day (check the World Quest Tool to see which ones are up). Quests with an asterisk next to them are part of 魔寵一家親.

These waypoints will work with the addon Tomtom and are easier to paste in if you use Paste.

Do we actually get anything from the pet battle daily in New Dalaran? It doesn't seem to reward anything and doesn't count towards the daily World Quests either, unless I'm missing something!

There is reference to Font, Seed and Essence of Mana each being a battle pet that you can gain through some achievement. However thus far I have not seen anything that actually tells me what achievement it is that will give you these pets. What am I missing?
