If you are planning to grind Ashtongue Deathsworn rep for 死亡誓言者的誓徒 then I recommend getting a bunch of people together and roflstomping through for 8000-9000 rep per clear. And then doing the same thing again for a few more weeks until you are done. Fastest way to do it per time spent, but there's a weekly cap.

One of the problems with running Black Temple is that it's long and nobody sane wants to do it. So if you want to get all your rep by soloing or without waiting for the weekly instance reset... read on.

You can farm the trash before the first boss but it's slow. Soloing trash past the first boss is fast and easy however, but the first boss is in the way. I recommend getting 1 other person to help you kill the first boss. (You'll need an extra person to remove the immunity.) After that first boss you can handle it from there alone if they don't want to stay. If you can cast Have Group, Will Travel you should easily recruit someone by pointing out the boss's 250g you are splitting for 2mins of effort.

The trash in the Illidari Training Grounds (courtyard where you can mount) can be avoided if you want to go straight to the boss Supremus. Bonechewer Workers in this area are so quickly killed it's worth finding them. But what you really want to do is get past Supremus and into the temple. There's a ton of trash in there you can access once he's dead. Plus it's a teleport hub with a repair guy to empty your bags.

From there go to the Halls of Anguish that lead to Gurtogg Bloodboil. In that wing you will find large groups of weak orcs you can aoe watching orcs fighting that you can pull at low hp. They are all worth 16 rep each and you can aoe the whole lot down quickly. There are other groups of trash (easily soloable) before those orcs but they take more time and effort due to their larger health pools than these aoe groups.

Once you want come in again to farm rep you queue for a battleground to quickly leave the instance. /afk out of the BG and you'll be at the entrance of Black Temple. Soft reset the instance. Enter and talk the to the friendly npc you passed at the entrance to teleport into the hub and you can rinse and repeat.

Just to try and put a few numbers to solo farming (going by my own experience):

I killed Naj'entus, Supremus and Akama as well as cleared all available trash including up to Bloodboil, RoS and Gorefiend which netted me about 5000 rep as a non-human in a L25 guild who manages to never remember to drop a banner.

After a soft reset, clearing the Bloodboil and Gorefiend trash again took around half an hour and netted about 1850 although that number varies a little depending on how many Fallen the Deathshapers raise up since those grant full rep too.

It took around 20 soft resets over the space of a few days to hit exalted but much better than the long solo weeks of grinding I was expecting. In hindsight I should probably have left Akama up for some extra trash to farm each reset but at the time I wasn't planning on getting exalted during a single hard reset.

A full clear (all trash) with guild perks gave me 9120 reputation as of patch 5.4.

Apparently trying to solo it at 90 will lock you in 25-raid mode when without a group. Everything else works as expected, including the reputation.

The whole instance can be soloed, roflstomped in some cases, except for the Essence of Desire, where you need either healing or a pet that can smack the boss' face with impunity.
