Guide to Helping your Guild acquire this achievement (and therefore the Cauldron):

1. Go to Shattrath and learn Elixir Master from Lorokoom in North Lower City. You will need to go to your previous master and unlearn first if you already have selected a specialization.
2. Advertise in trade chat "Elixir Master LFW, Free of charge and procs are yours!" Don't forget to mention that it works for flasks too as not everyone knows this
3. ?
4. Profit!

A tiny question, im completing this with my guild but then i decide to leave them for an other reason a half year after i got the recipe do i loose the ability to make this then?

By the calculations, you need 12000 stacks of herbs to do this.
*not considering the 500 stacks of vials and 200 stacks of volatiles*

in a normal bank, there are 32 slots. the largest herb bag (which costs a lot of volatiles, but by the herbing rate, shouldnt be a problem), gets another 36 slots each (x7).

so, a normal person can get 284 slots for herbs on their bank; and would as well get a herb bag and 3x 22 slots normal bags, totallizing 420 slots (lets suppose they filled the 16-slot backpack with volatiles ^^).

if they store all the herbs they need just for this achievment, they'll need 29 (28,57) "banking" characters, soaked with herbs.

Oh, remember there's also an achievment for 25k flasks.

guess someone on blizzard finally saw this page and made sense that they got a x10 error on this achievment.

So, I'm a little confused on how this reward (for example) will be given to a player.

Since it is an Alchemy recipe, will only Alchemists receive a copy of it?

What about players that join the guild after it has already been obtained? Do they get the recipe once they reach proper guild rep. or something?

Don't forget, that as your guild gains levels, the Guild Cauldrons level up as well, in a sense. Chug-A-Lug increases their duration, and Happy Hour increases the # of flasks gained from a cauldron. As you get higher in guild level, Cauldrons become better and better!

Did they change this achievement? My guild just got this and we were at 2247 flasks. Very odd number for this to change over at, but nowhere near the 10k that the achievement says. Makes me wonder what the next level will be.

Mix Master now requires your guild to craft 1,000 Cataclysm flasks (down from 10,000). (Source)

Correct - hotfixed 5/1/2011, 1000 now needed. If over 1000, all ready, your next flask will proc the achieve.

Updated material requirements for the 1000/3000 flasks needed:

Volatile life: 5400/16200
Stormwine: 90/ 270 stacks
Heartblossom: 90/ 270 stacks
Cinderbloom: 180/ 540 stacks
Twilight Jasmin: 180/ 540 stacks
Azhera's vail: 180/ 540 stacks
Whiptail: 180/ 540 stacks

Based on an even distribution of 20% of each flask type (needed for the cauldrons) and an assumption of 25% Elixir Mastery proc rate (stupid not to utilize it).

Can you confirm that there is no guild reputation requirement for the producing alchemist?

We have a new guildie but he wants to be sure he doesn't have to be honored or whatever with the guild for his flasks to count toward this achievement.

This achievement has a bugged tooltip, It has been added to the latest hotfix, The real requirement for this one is 1,000 flasks..

The next one of 25k is wrong too, Its either 5k or 10k. (Confirmed by blue posts)

Doing the math, you would only need two banker toons to store the raw mats. Without adding in the procs and everything else, guild bonuses, etc. Here is what I came up with. (Not including the Crystal Vials since you can easily purchase those from a vendor).

Flask of the Winds: 8 Volatile Life 8 Azshara's Veil 8 Whiptail
Flask of Titanic Strength: 8 Volatile Life 8 Cinderbloom 8 Whiptail
Flask of Draconic Mind:8 Volatile Life 8 Azshara's Veil 8 Twilight Jasmine
Flask of Flowing Water:8 Volatile Life 8 Stormvine 8 Heartblossom
Flask of Steelskin:8 Volatile Life 8 Cinderbloom 8 Twilight Jasmine

1000 Flasks needed to be made. 200 of each flask to be made for the 1000 Mix Master achievement. Total for Volatile Life is divided by the amount of a full stack which is 200. Totals for herbs is divided by the amount of a full stack which is 20.

Volatile Life: 40x1000=40000 (200 stacks)
Azshara's Veil: 16x400=6400 (320 stacks)
Cinderbloom: 16x400=6400 (320 stacks)
Stormvine: 8x200=1600 (80 stacks)
Heartblossom:8x200=1600 (80 stacks)
Whiptail: 16x400=6400 (320 stacks)
Twilight Jasmine: 16x400=6400 (320 stacks)

A total of 1640 slots is needed to store the raw mats for the flasks.

Each guild bank tab as 98 slots in it. With a banker guild, only 6 tabs can be purchased (unless you and some friends want to share it and level it up). That brings the total to 588 slots.
If you can manage to gather up 7 Hyjal Expedition Bags (thats 36 slots each), thats an extra 252 slots, along with the 28 slots for your toon's personal bank.

So, lets see here:
588+252+28=868

A total of 868 slots on one toon! So therefore, you only need 2 banker toons to store all the raw mats you will need to get this achievement.

868+868=1736

For those who are guild-less or who like me whose guild is dormant there is a way to do this.

You will need at least (imo) 4 level 100 alts (more would be better) preferably alchemists. You
will need all of these to have level 3 WoD farms for the herbs. You will need lots of Alchemical
Catalyst's, ergo the multiple Alchemists doing the Daily. Both herbs and the catalyst can be
purchased in the AH but I prefer to be thrifty. YMMV.

Then make the 4 types of Draenic Flasks. When that is done use these flasks to make Greater
Draenic Flasks by adding in catalyst and one of sorcerous elements (also available in the AH).
Rinse & repeat .

Ime nowhere else in the game can you acquire the required materials as easily and as cheaply.
