The sound bar is increased by getting hit by practically any of Atramedes' AoE abilities (Most of which are avoidable). If it gets maxed out, he'll immediately target the player(s) in question with a rapid barrage of fireballs that will kill them off almost instantly. To make matters worse, some of his abilities pursue them at a greater speed depending on how high it is.

There's gongs that can be used to stun him and reset the sound bar of every raid member, but those are mainly meant to be used in order to interrupt a powerful channeled AoE he casts periodically that causes a raid wiping amount of damage, as well as to reset the speed of the flame breath he chases players with during the air phase.

A group with decent DPS can down him well before they run out of gongs, plus the unavoidable sound increases from Modulation alone won't push you over the 50% mark before you'd need to use a gong to stop Searing Flame or Roaring Flame Breath, so even if some mistakes are you made, you can potentially use some gongs before either of those two abilities to keep yourself low enough to get the achievement.

The most important part of this achievement is simply avoiding the sonic rings. Modulation is unavoidable, but the sonic pulses are not. Given his huge hitbox, even melee should have time to move out of the way by the time the pulses get to them. Ranged and healers have absolutely no excuse to get hit by these.

I believe standing in fire gives you sound also, but I am not positive.

You can have someone at 50 sound, but not over.

Advice to those who go and faceroll this achiev in t12 gear: Use gong any time anyone gets 30 sound and go with 1 healer. Do so and this achiev will be the easiest one in BWD.

Actualy, the achi is earn when ppl kill Atramedes and they are alive with sound bar lower that 50%.So - if any of your member raid failed, dont wipe entire raid, only person who have bar over 50% must wipe, around 10-15% on Boss HP.U will get the achivment.

I soloed this as a Blood death knight in DPS gear. Fairly easy and straightforward, just interact with a bell when he's casting Sonic Breath (the channeled ability) to stun him and clear your sound bar.

I know this doesn't "sound" too easy.... But it's rather quite easy to do around 90 with a few friends. Excuse the bad pun. :p

At level 90 with ilvl 560 gear in patch 6.0.2 you can easily down him before you gain any "sound".

Lev 100 ilvl 636 nuked him down pretty quick. He got only one sound shot at me which I dodged easily. Just got to nuke him down and you'll get the achievement.
