Also don't forget the quests that invovle the injured Argent guy way in the mountains ( A Tale of Valor ). It's not a hard questline at all but you may easily forget it. Once you turn the final quest in, you get at least few quests completed through the questline that count towards the achievement. That's how I got my Loremaster anyway :)

There's a quest in the mine in Ymirheim which you will most likely miss if you skip the dailies like I did.

Also don't forget the Battle of Valhalas hub. (7 quests)

I am stuck at 137 / 140 and have done all the quests-tips listed above.

I have also completed a lot of groupquests, and just have 4 groupquests open,
which can't be solo'd as a mage .

Any help or suggestions ? I am quite desperate, as one of my guild mates has
completed this achievement and still has the groupquests open, so there seem to
be more solo quests out there, but I can't find them...

I have flown over the whole map, just to look out for an exclamation quest mark,
and I am pretty sure I haven't overlooked one.

This is the hardest one for northrend. In all the other zones you can get away with only a few group quests, sometimes none at all. In this one you need to do 10 or more 5-mans to get to the count.

I'm waiting for my guildies to level to finish these. It's tough finding groups as a casual player when I only have an hour to play and can't spend all day finding a group.

You must do some of the 5-mans to finish this. There's not enough quests in the solo-3man series to complete this. A number of the 5-man quests either are long chains or open up new quests which you will need to get to 140.

Raise the Barricades opens up after you complete Against the Giants and Need More Info

Raise the Barricades then leads to two other non-group quests.

Although Need More Info and Against the Giants are group quests, they can be soloed fairly easily by any class. Need More Info especially, as the only reason it is listed as a group quest is that it leads to a quest that you do need a group for.

These are the quests that finally got me 140. Hope this helps. =D

I'm at 134/140 and can't seem to get any more quests. I'm pretty sure i need to do the quests obtained on death's rise, but there is nothing available for me there or at the shadowforge. How do i unlock those quests? I've also completed all of the quests from the flying ship except for basic chemistry (seems to be bugged).......all the other quests on the ship are dailies. Not sure where i got lost. any help would be much appreciated.

Parting gifts was the quest chain that I'd been missing when I found myself in Icecrown short of the achievement and seemingly out of quests to do.

Ok, i figured out the questline i was missing. starts with "get the key" from Vaelen the Flayed chained up in a "cave" just to the west of the shadowforge. This questline should be the start to opening up the quests at death's rise. If there was any quest that was supposed to lead you there, i missed it somehow......hope this helps others that are finding themselves short of the achievement.

I have gotten this as horde without doing any "Rider of the x" quests or any Battle at valhala quests.

Check the wowhead icecrown zone page, and on the map make sure you check "horde questgivers" (shows neutral as well).

Don't forget Where Dragons Fell which starts another set of 6 quests.

However, in order to gain access to these, I believe that you have to complete the Exploiting an Opening questline, which also leads to the Do Your Worst questline.

Edit:
Once you have finished those, a new set of quests (6 I believe) opens up at The Shadow Vault from Keritose Bloodblade starting with Parting Gifts

Finishing those leads to Vereth the Cunning which is a questline of 3.
Finish those and it opens up 3 more: Generosity Abounds, Matchmaker and Stunning View.

Finish those and you get The Rider of Blood, The Rider of Frost, The Rider of the Unholy.

Finish those and you are rewarded with The Fate of Bloodbane.

Hope this helps get you your new title.

As far as I can tell, at the time of writing there is 143 quests available in this area. This is speaking from having gotten the achievement and then completing 3 after having done so.

This might sound obvious, but before you set foot in Icecrown make sure you pick up this quest http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=13418 (Alliance) or http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=13419 (Horde) from Krasus' Landing in Dalaran.

Make that quest the first one you do - it may only be a simple go from A to B but it counts towards the Achievement and *may* not (unconfirmed) be available once you start doing other quests in Icecrown.

btw you need to have Cold Weather Flying for this quest to open up.

I'm sorry, thumb me down if you must, but having such an issue to complete 140 quests seems like the design team may have failed the majority of it's players. Forcing people to find groups to complete quests feels poor to me. The idea that "waiting" to get a group together is a component of "fun" completely misses on me. It felt more like I was being punished for choosing to complete the zone.

If you get stucked about 87/140 go Crusader's Pinnacle and in Castle right from the entrance over the bed there is a quest leading to the battleship over the icecrown.

Since the last time I posted here, I raised two alts to 80. With alts, I just forget about the group quests unless I can solo them. I found that on both alts, I was able to get 119/140 with solo quests. That means, you need to do 21 group quests to finish the achievement. Most of these are 5-man quests when I did them on my main. To be clear, that's 119 solo quests that do not require any grouping at all. I know there are more solo quests but require group quests to unlock them. There's 119 quests you can do just solo, no group quest unlocking needed.

Its also worth adding that you can get the linked quest chain from a mob drop as well, as I got to 136/140 doing every quest and took a day to realise what I had missed - http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42772 its another mob drop that ive linked above.

The one I easily missed was http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=13059 which ended up being the last one i needed for my 140. It's in the underhalls, and easy to miss as its off the side in a room you dont need to go for the quests in there.

i recently got loremaster of wrath of the lich king and icecrown was one of the hardest when i was doing it i had to end up doing the 5man group quests gauntlet to get the achievement, but was doing the Argent tournament today and had to kill some mobs near the Sindragosa's fall and there is a lil guy smack in the middle there which opens up a chain of about 3 quests then you hand in and you get another 2 quests all up 5 quests complete i wish i found this guy earlier and im pretty sure these 5 quests count for Icecrown: The Final Goal

Argent Tournament quests do not count towards this achievement despite being in Icecrown. They are under a separate "Tournament" category in the quest log.

Got the achievement this week during Battle at Valhalas chain. Honestly, didn't have to "work" for it. I just went from quest to quest, enjoying the Icecrown lore. As for getting groups together for the 3 & 5-mans... Most/all the 3-mans are soloable. As for the 5-mans, I just turned on the "looking for a group" and tagged my needed quests. About 2-3X per week I was able to group with others in a similar situation. Just work the questlines and be open to grouping for the 5-mans as you go.

This achievement wasn't terribly bad. I did it without doing the Battle of Valhalas ring or The Ironwall Rampart and its followup quests. That leaves about 8 free quests, so if you are at 139/140 then make sure to pick up one of those in the chain. Valhalas is started in Jötunheim and the quest chain is based off of the Alliance airship (I'm assuming the Horde has their counterpart quest on their own airship as well).

I am not entirely sure whether or not this is true, but when I did the Black Knight quests (the ones that start at the Argent Tournament with http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=13634) I think they counted towards the achievement
Like I said: I'm not certain about this, so don't be surprised if I'm wrong
On a lighter note it also counts towards an achievement, is fun and so even if it doesn't count towards this particular achievement, the chain is well worth doing.

Lol, I'm not really sure what to say here- but I am a level 80 warlock, and all these quests (save Basic Chemistry) I have solo'd no sweat lol. So if you are a DK, plate class, a hunter, or think you have what it takes, I'd say ignore the "Group" status. The elites themselves aren't really all that hard. Then again, I am in full t8.5, but I really don't think that would make a difference when it comes to the fact that I wear cloth.

Strangely it wasn't mentioned before, but there's obvious hidden meaning in the name of achievement.
Blizzard has been stressing that the WotLK expansion would be extended and built in a way that the encounter with Arthas becomes the final encounter in the expansion - to counter the BT/Illidan encounter in the Burning Crusade, that was introduced before Sunwell, which didn't make the developers happy.

Slaying the Lich King will be the final challenge of the WotLK expansion. Arhtas Menethil resides in the Icecrown Citadel.

Icecrown is your final goal in this expansion.

i wanted to know when i started this achievement if it was possible to completely solo, and i couldn't find an answer, so in case anyone else is wondering:

As an enhancement shaman in ulduar gear i was able to solo all 140 quests, and there were more left over, two of the 5 mans i simply couldn't do alone without a healer, so i skipped those, and still had many quests left over, i easily made the 140.

I know this may not be useful for some classes, or undergeared people, but it might help someone. :)

I really need some help. I have cross-referenced my Carbonite History with Wowhead's list of quests and i fear i have phased through too much to complete this. First of all, is this even possible? I have searched all quest givers mentioned in green font on this page but have yet to find a lead. i spoke to a GM and of course (s)he told me that they couldn't give me any specific info as to whether or not i could, in fact, complete the Achievement. IF anyone has any info, maybe Carbonite is messing up or the NPC's "!" marks are hard to find. It would suck to get to 3 quests before finishing only to find i can't complete this :(

EDIT: Blizzard has since fixed the glitch that had prevented me from finishing this. Once upon a time the Battle Before the Citadel quest made a small hole in the bottom part of the tower despawn if you had done through all the Icecrown quests, but skipped the one given by Arthas' ghost there. It was only after a major patch that they fixed it, not sure now what patch though as i have slept since then.

An easily missed quest is Avenge Me! given from a Dying Berserker (Horde). Just find one of the wounded (not dead, just low on health) soldiers laying face down in The Broken Front. Talk to him and ask him how you can help, he'll follow with a quest asking you kill 5 wounded Alliance soldiers laying throughout the field.

I figured I'd mention this because nobody else mentioned this npc:

I was stuck at 139/140 quests and looked almost everywhere (bone witch, shadow vault, death's stand, crusader's pinnacle, skybreaker, ymirheim, and any quest starting from a dropped item) with no luck. Turns out I had one quest remaining from Kibli Killohertz. You can't see the NPCs there until a second after you land on the platform, so you won't see the quest on your radar if you just fly by.

For all those people, who have problems with this (or any other quest) achievement, I strongly recommend using wowhead client to upload your characters quests to wowhead.com for easy tracking :) Then You'll have a nice list of what quests You've done and which ones are still left, like http://www.wowhead.com/profile=eu.alonsus.evenuel#quests

Before this wonderful thing was implemented into wowhead I did tracking the old way - I've written down names of all the quests I complete. Somehow I have one Icecrown quest too much in my achievement (I had 31 on the paper and achievement said 32). I haven't done Battered Hilt chain and I think Argent Tournament quests never count towards Icecrown achievement. So does anyone noticed this too? What other quests, apart from normal quests given in Icecrown quest hubs, count for "Icecrown: FInal Goal"? I'd really like to find out...

I went and killed >學徒歐斯特基爾格< this guy, and picked up the item. (btw, he's in the cave at 32,32 in icecrown. go straight in, go down both flights of stairs, and he's underneath the staircase)

i'm still working on the quests as I type this up, so i'll update when I get the achievement, but i thought i'd go ahead and put this idea into some other peoples head(:

so i am finding this annoying i am trying to get this achievement and am stuck at 125/140. i did do the uploading to wowhead thing which gave me a list of 35 quests that i am missing 11 of which are the battered hilt ones. when i started back tracking those quests i have hit the questgivers but they have no quests available for me. one of the things i am wondering if the problem may lie is that a few months back when i logged in all of my achievement trackings were reset to zero. i contacted blizzard about this they had me reset ui. now i am not sure if it fixed it properly or not anybody have any ideas on what to do?

Don't forget to go to Blackwatch at 35.44,66.33 - They are up in a mountain overlooking the Fleshworks and have 2 starter quests (Destroying the Altars, Death's Gaze) that have follow-ups as well, and a drop that will start a few more. I was stuck untill I found these guys.

I am getting so infuriated beyond reason that I can not even express. I am at 73 / 140 after faction changing to the horde so I don't know if that screwed something up, but I find any god damn quests. Having done the Loremaster achievement without any interuptions from PvP, instancing or raids for a whole month, Icecrown to me is a big let down. I was expecting a big finale and what I got instead was a load of disjointed quests and annoying group quests that by the time you find a group, you've forgotten the story.

Its only saving grace is the starting quests at the Argent Vanguard, and (for horde) the quest to kill dying alliance. The others are quests that WoW gets criticised for: hoover up all the quests in a hub, kill 10 monster, and return - under the loose guise of a story.

I get the impression Blizzard ran out of time with Icecrown and just patched together a load of daily prequests to keep people's fingers busy.

Apparently the icecrown weekly raid quests count towards this. For those of you who still have one or two quests left and are able to get into a 10 or 25man raid this could be a good opportunity to get one quest closer to your goal.

I was stuck at 138/140 for the longest time. Finally I saw a post on WoW forums about tracking down an NPC named "Vaelen the Flayed". To quote Giggle's post on this page: "Overlooking him is usually what trips people up about unlocking the various Ebon Blade dailies." such as Leave Our Mark.

1. Look for Vaelen - he starts out as a prisoner in one of the Vrykul buildings in Jotunheim, at coordinates 41,24. Pick up the quest to get a key from the Instructor just outside the building.

2. Release Vaelen and return to Shadow Vault where at least 4 other quests are unlocked. Talk to Vaelen there as well (he's inside the vault). Be sure to pick all of them up at the same time as they can be completed together.

Crush Dem Vrykuls! - From Vile
Ebon Blade Prisoners - From Vaelen
Leave Our Mark - From Baron Sliver
Vandalizing Jotunheim - From Duke Lankral

You can kill Vrykuls (loot cage keys), stick Ebon Blade banners in their corpses, burn banners and release prisoners all at the area around 32,29. Freed prisoners become your "pet" and assist to kill Vrykuls.

3. Return to Shadow Vault and turn in all completed quests. These will unlock Shadow Vault dailies and Death's Rise dailies, which give more toward Icecrown: The Final Goal.

I was not stuck. I simply was at something like 132/140, with all group quests left. Before patch 4.0.01 (or whatever), with the big hunter changes (no more mana, etc), I tried the group quests I had solo.

Coprous (failed, died so fast)
Riders of whatever (failed, died fast)
Guardians of Corp. (failed, died on either.)

So after these changes, still beast mastery and in about the same gear, I tried again:

I totally DEVASTATED these quests. Its ironic, since everyone else was complaining but it seems
like the survivability of myself and my devilsaur pet's tanking ability increased several fold. What was
once impossible, was now cake to solo. The only guy that got me to 1/3 health was the Rider of the
unholy (Rorik, or something?) The rest barely touched me, while I kept the pet at full health too.

So boom, 140/140, boom Loremaster finally!

I was totally stuck at 132/140 (Alliance), and had done many of the quests people suggested here.

Vaelen the Flayed is at the back of the building in Valhalas, immediately west of Shadow Vault. Here he'll give you a quest to get a key and return to him, then to go speak with Baron Sliver at Shadowvault, which neartly gives 2 quests. Baron Sliver and Vile then give you another 2 quests. Do these, and you can head to Death's Rise (it looks like a small, upside-down 'v' on the cliffs east of Onslaught Harbour), where you'll get plenty more. This helped me finish up Icecrown after scrounging around looking for hours.

I hope this helps and sorry for the lack of co-ords, I don't have that add-on.

Quest missing: Under ICC is a green hole very deep, jump there in you land in de water there is a extra long quest line.

I was at 128/140 for a while but then I found the "Jagged shards" and "I'm not dead yet" quests. They opened up more quests. Also check to see if you have done "Preparations of war" from Sky-Reaver Klum.

Don't forget Naz'anak: The Forgotten Depths. It's under IC Citadel at the west side. Underneath the citadel you can find a big hole in the ground with some green fog. Down there you have Matthias Lehner. He gives the quest .

I have done:

EVERYTHING on the skybreaker, fleshworks, below Icecrown citadel, Shadow vault and Death's rise, Argent Vanguard, Yrmirheim, Jotunheim etc, even been checking if I have done the quests earlier mensioned in the thread and now I have been looking allover Icecrown for the SINGLE little quest I have left to become loremaster. I have EveryQuest, but I downloaded it a bit too late:( Or it Won't tell me wich quests I have done. It probably dislikes me:(

Help! i'm stuck at 134/140. I know i havent done quests onslaught harbor and the little infragreen gnome place on Aldur'Thar, but I don't know where to start the quest chain to get these. I have quested everywhere else, excluding the tournament. Do i need to do the dailies to get these?

Was stuck on 135/140, sent ticket to GM who came back advising the use of profiler a tool on wowhead (mentoned in a comment above).

I found i hadn't done 'the sum is greater than the parts' quest, which is a drop from the previous quest target, the Doc's Apprentice, but it is essential to do this quest in order to continue the rest of the quest line from the bone witch, which including this quest totals 13, though many are group quests. Once you have done the previous quest, and if like i possibly did you abandon the quest, to pick it up again you have to re-kill the apprentice and then continue on your way (mentioned in a comment on how to complete the quest).

If you have no quests at the bone queen and you are a number of quests short of the 140 total, then it is worth looking at this, as the quest will not show at the bone witch even though you hand it in to her on completion (due to it being a drop).

I was stuck at 137/140, and checked every quest giver in Icecrown, all of Dalaran, etc. What I didn't do was go to Wyrmrest Temple. I left Dragonblight when I finished "The Might of Dragonblight" and never looked back. I hadn't finished the quest "Dahlia's Tears" from Alexstrasza. While that quest didn't help me, the followup to that one sent me to Icecrown, and after a few flights back and forth between Crusader's Pinnacle to Sindragosa's Fall, I had Northrend Loremaster! So, if you're stuck, go back to Wyrmrest, and see if Alex has anything for ya. :)

I got stuck at 135/140 and I could not for the life of me find what I had missed. As I tend to constantly have a full quest log sometimes I delete quests mid-chain. After randomly flying about for ages I came across 黑騎兵亞爾利 (on a peak overlooking the Fleshwerks). She is easy to miss due to not being at one of the main quest areas. Not only did she have a quest chain I had dropped but during one of her quests the quest item 鋸齒裂片 dropped for me which provided yet more quests upon turn in with 十字軍歐拉金‧山瑞斯.

The quest chain that starts with Time Yet Remains sends you to the Dragonblight lore for one quest (Dahlia's Tears). It returns to Icecrown after that one step, giving you two more quests toward 寒冰皇冠:最終目標.

one thing i noticed while having to resort to another wow posting site was that sometimes the quests could be listed under ice crown citadel instead of ice crown...while looking up that possibility i noticed that for some reason the quest tracking stops tracking some quests..and the missing quest for me was the one that brought me to moon glade to do a quest then back..

Seems I am stuck at 139/140. I am using the addon QuestCompletist and it looks like I am missing much of the 英勇的故事 questline. I did the first two but see no way of picking up 守護者的援助. I checked the body to see if I could click on it and pick up a quest and got nothing. Tried Tirion as well and he didn't have any quests available.

I am stuck at 135/140 quests. I know I still have to do quests in the shadow vault from Vile and Baron Sliver, but when I go there, they don't show up for me. Is there a quest that is a drop quest, or am I just missing something.

There is a quest given by 大領主提里奧‧弗丁 called 守護者的援助 which takes you to moonglade. There, there are some more quests which do all count towards this achievment!

Close to getting desperate after searching for quests i found 恐怖博士的《造個更棒的血肉巨人》 dropped by Apprentice Osterkilgr, located under the stairs in the underhalls (entrance 32,32). This gave me loads of quests and enabled me to finish the quests of Icecrown (finally)

Was sitting at 133/140 on my Horde character, and I've already done all of the major quests people are saying they forgot, like the dropped item in the Fleshwerks and the kid at the bottom of the hole.

Turns out I hadn't been back to the Shadow Vault in a while (no reason to do the dailies if I'm going straight into Cataclysm content after this), and Keritose Bloodblade was there with the quest "Parting Gifts" that ended up leading to another 15 quests! Looks like there is plenty of wiggle room if you miss a few here or there.

I have to say this is by far the most irritating place to do the Loremaster achievement. Really annoying quests and so many of them. 140 is too many at this place. Most of the quests slow down the quest grinding process.

I just wanted to stop by and mention for those of you working on the Loremaster achievement and who are as frustrated as I was reading these comments.. Just because you fly over Orgrim's Hammer and no yellow ! appears, doesn't mean there's not a quest waiting there for you.

I stopped by the ship after remembering that sometimes blue ? mark bearers still have quests, so I checked the Bone Witch, she had nothing for me, then I headed back to Orgrim's Hammer JUST IN CASE.. and sure enough, when I clicked on the daily questgivers, who had only BLUE exclamation points, I found the last quests I needed, one being "Need More Info."

So, just in case you haven't thought of that, go back and check your daily questgivers!

Also, thank you to Nukken for his useful info, voting up.. and good luck to all of you completionists working on this alongside me! :)

Koltira Deathweaver had "Need More Info" and the follow-up quest "No Rest for the Wicked."
He then offered me "Raise the Barricades", followed by "The Ironwall Rampart" and "Bloodspattered Banners." by which time I had surpassed my goal and stopped, so I'm not sure just how many quests are available here, but I hope this all helps you guys :)

so im stuck at 107. i have done EVERYTHING. i have flown over the entire zone at least 5 times. i have for pure sh*ts and giggles, done every daily just incase, i have googled nonstop every quest chain in the game and cannot figure out where to go next. shadow vault is all dailies to me, deaths rise is dailies, the flying boat is dailies.....i did black watch, i did the banshee lady in the cave, im pretty sure its the under ground part im missing but i just cannot find the quest to get down there. i counted the quests from where im pretty sure i am (its hard to guess with out a list to cross check) and i only come up with 19, which is no where close to the 33 i need.....if any one can help thatd be great.

I found that 2+ NPCs aboard the flying boats give a yellow quest, even though they have a blue exclamation above them. Just have to look through the blue :)

I was stuck at 139/140 for the achievement, and I swear I had scoured all of Icecrown. I did every single quest I could find, double checked the people with dailies to see if they were hiding a regular quest, did the ones that took me to Moonglade and to Alexstraza, and still couldn't find the LAST quest I needed.

I use Carbonite, so I just clicked the guide and selected to show Quest Givers... it highlighted a few on my map that I wasn't sure if I'd done, though flying over those spots gave me nothing. Then I found Father Kamaros near the Fleshwerks! He's kneeling at 31.8, 64.8, and his short escort quest (我還沒死!) was the last one I needed! =D

If you find yourself stuck with a single quest left, check to see if you've done this one. =)

Edit: During this escort quest, I killed a few things and looted them without paying attention to what I picked up (auto loot ftw, and I was too excited to be finishing my final quest to notice what I got). I picked up a drop quest, 鋸齒裂片. So I guess I would have had a few extra quests. =P

My best tip is to get the Loremaster addon. You install it, open it up (from a small icon on your minimap) and it quickly creates a list of quests you haven't done in the chosen zone yet. The list shows questlines at the top, then quests standing on their own. Click on a quest and it shows you the questgiver, along with it's coordinates and you can choose to set a marker on the map for it. This saves you a lot of time from looking on wowhead to see what quests you've missed.

Recently went back to complete this needing 9 quests, found them through the Bone Witch to complete the Battle at Valhalas Challenge. As she has a turn in the blue question mark hides the fact that there is a low-level quest line.

Guys i stuck on 136/140 and was flying over all Icecrown. I read that daily quest: http://www.wowhead.com/quest=12838# will give you starting quest item from chest , but i couldn't take that daily from quest giver. So i become very frustrated.

And then i found missing quest (after 2-3 hours of flying around):

Quest name is: "Get the key", cords are: 41/24. 取得鑰匙

For the guys without cords it is inside of: Ufrang's Hall!
After i turn this quest i got 5-6 more quest in: "The Shadow Vault" and basically i got my achi. There was no any need to start with: Intelligence Gathering"
I really hope that this will help to someone and save his time!

There are a lot of 5-man quests in this region, so if you're doing it at level, prepare to either try to get groups, ask a higher level guildie to help you, or come back to finish some chains above level, depending on your class and spec.

Well, I cant find the last 4 quests needed for my Northend lore achvmnt. Searched everywhere...

So I decided to register in Wowhead and download the client to track completed quests. However, after I collected an uploaded, I do not see any of my completed quests checked of the list here on the site. Am I missing something?

Ok, I spent for-fecking ever looking for the final quests at 137/140, I literally searched every nook and cranny in Icecrown and Dalaran, heck I even went to other areas to see if they dropped quests that would take me to Icecrown, I finally found 恐怖博士的《造個更棒的血肉巨人》 after a million years which sets off another questline with The Bone Witch, I finished my final 3 quests and left Icecrown forever T_T I didn't do the next quest she had but I'm assuming this is the questline you need to do the Battle for Valhalas :)

Some of the quests might not be seen on the map cause of the daily quests NPCs have. Make sure to talk to them and check if they have quests.

If you think that you are stuck, and can't progress:

Rule 1: Don't panic! You are NOT stuck. There are about 155 quests to complete if you go full. And just 2-3 of them are breadcrumbs that you are able to lose forever. So: you always have a chance to get the achievement, no matter what choices you make.

Rule 2: Always check the daily quest givers. Yellow quest marks stay hidden if the quest giver is also a daily quest giver.

Rule 3: Places to always check again for quests you might have missed: The airship, The Shadow Vault, Jotunheim, Crusaders' Pinnacle, The Fleshwerks, Death's Rise.

Rule 4: Jagged Shards! They drop from Spiked Ghouls and they start a lengthy line of quests.

Hey, this will probably sound ridiculous, but the icecrown quests are the final part to my Loremaster achievement and I have never struggled so much to find quests. I have only done 57/140! so there should be tons available. Now that wow has become child friendly and put luminous green name plates on NPCs with quests (even low level quests) which should make them easy to find, like in the other zones- you can see the quest givers miles away but in Icecrown I cant find anything now despite having nearly 100 to go. any ideas on this?

matey on sky breaker has nothing. nothing except dailies at the shadow vault. girl on top of the mountain near fleshwerks has nothing. deaths rise only has dailies. argent tournament doesn't count. i can't seem to find anything. are there any hidden ones? or have i missed something really obvious? its been a while since i left icecrown last when levelling, now returning to finish it all off and it appears that iv done everything but blatantly haven't. been flying around for hours trying to find quests.

any kind of help would be hugely appreciated!

I recently posted on here exhausted from hours of hunting for quests in Icecrown for this rather tedious achievement. I hd only done like 60/140 so should have had plenty but for some reason i could find nothing except dailies. I decided to venture back to the Argent Vanguard. this might help a lot as it did me: on the mini map-select low level quests! then suddenly in the valley of echoes, two guys appeared to have quests for collecting stuff near Dalaran, afterwards all these quests unfolded on crusaders pinnacle and the skybreaker. finally! I'm sure ill get stuck again but for now this has opened up new chains!

I was stuck around 132/140, i had flown over every possible quest givers around Icecrown. Through the comments I got the idea to visit 守衛者雷姆洛斯 at Moonglade. He had 雷姆洛斯之恩 quest for me that i had dropped sometime around leveling up.That quest line got me to exact 140.

So make sure you have done that quest line if you are having troubles finding quests.

In the hope of saving someone an awful lot of gold (and/or grief) -- I can confirm that, even in WoD / 6.2.x, this Achievement can be obtained without completing the questline related to the 破損的劍柄.

So... you do not have to farm 薩倫之淵 for weeks, nor spend a small fortune on the AH. Just remember:

read all the other comments carefully for quest breadcrumbs, locations, etc.;
questgivers sporting blue ! for dailies are sometimes "hiding" non-daily regular quests that count toward the achievement;

and you will prevail.

For the record: you do not need 破損的劍柄, nor do you need to complete the related questline, in order to obtain this achievement.

There are enough regular quests in Icecrown to reach the required 140 without it.

I created this list as an easier way to follow progression for those, like me, who are picking up after years. My tailor only completed 61 of these quests. One of the quests is not currently part of the achievement, but I am unsure which one it is. (more than likely a breadcrumb quest somewhere.)

This list is long. 151 quests long. Its ordered in progression where possible and broken down by area. But lots of quest lines are available simultaneously. Where known, I included prerequisite quest information. It does not include dailies or the battered hilt quest line. Much props to Whiterock, I semi- used his quest trees found on the quest’s pages. Go to Moonglade and speak with Romelus; that yields about six quests. The bone witch will yield a few more, too. I was stuck at 126 until I read the above comments and did these two things. Thank you all for the help, and good luck!

I have a BIG tip for you guys hunting this achievement and you know you've done alot.

ALWAYS RIGHT CLICK ON ANY BLUE QUEST GIVER!

If you're still stuck, make all dailys in Death Rise then you'll eventually get a quest drop

Last but not least I was stuck cuz I didn't kill this mob and took the quest drop.

Level 100 Arcane Mage: So I spent a couple of weeks trying to get the last two I needed for Loremaster. (I know, I know, welcome to the club...) I tried Icy-Veins quest tracker, Wowhead, everything. I started backtracking from my list of uncompleted quests and I came to one where you have to go down into a pit under Icecrown Citadel. From the bottom of the stairs that lead up to the dungeon area, go around the right side and in the pillars that hold up the stairs is an entrance to a cavern under the stairs. In the middle of the cavern is a pit that glows green. Fly down to the bottom of that pit and there is Matthias Lehner as a little child. Don't worry, there will be no damage to you to get there. There is no map to follow, just go on a walkabout. I know it was left from where I ended up. Explore every nook and cranny, you will probably see the portal to exit first. Low and behold he had yellow quest exclamation mark and the portal to get me out of there. One thing led to another and Viola! I am finally done with Icecrown! I could see the yellow mark from above but had no idea he was down in that hole. Hope this helps some other poor soul who is looking for another set of quests. It takes you back up to the ship and another set of quests begins! Bon Chance mes amis!

Need help here guys, stuck on 80/140 and cant find a single quest in any of the places you can fly to with a flight path, have done the questline to establish crusaders pinnacle, the questline that requiers you to travel to moonglade, dragonblight and shatt, the questline to take over the shadow vault, the bone witch questline, the arena style ring of blood kinda like questline, and the fleshworks questline, and no, i dont see any quest in Ogrim's hammer either, is there any major questline that starts outside icecrown?

The quest chains ended after Lord-Commander Arete. Turns out I needed to go back to the ship and speak with Koltira Deathweaver and get the quest "Opportunity". Took me hours to find. To many daily quests and you just tend to ignore.

I'm stuck at 86/140. I've done all the Argent Dawn qs and all the Shadow valt qs but still there aren't any available quests. Not even dailys at the fn boat. I'm sure that I've done Orgrim's Hammer because the quest giver is gone, but Icyveins says that it is still available... So something is badly wrong with the quests, I have been searching for clues what to do next for 3 days from this page but nobody has the same problem. So I'm done with it, Blizzard can keep the Loremaster achievment :D

Working on Loremaster. Got stuck at 138/140 and had already done all of the suggested quests in the comment section.
Painfully flying around trying to find anything and came across two quests i must have overlooked in Blackwatch (35, 66) just above The Fleshwerks.

I am stuck at 118/140 after delivering Light within the darkness. I have tried looking for more, but it’s quite obvious I’ve missed many. Does anyone have any tips on where I might find questgivers who are easily overlooked?

Everything else I've done .
I have read posts, but none of the NPCs give me any Q to complete this series.
Can there be a problem in Daily Q that will not open any Q series?

For Horde Loremaster:

All soloed on my alt 110 ilvl 934 Guardian Druid. If you’re deciding to do loremaster later in the game like me and you’re starting the zone fresh, I highly suggest doing it on a druid because you can kill and instant fly off, makes things go by so much faster.

All I did was follow around the large bold exclamation point on the map. Sometimes the quests are mixed and it makes you run around back and forth, but so be it. This is still minimum list of quests to do, everything else is a side quest.

Due to doing too high damage at higher character levels, there are two specific quests in Icecrown that may seem impossible to do: 深入地下大廳 and 生力軍. I resorted to asking lower level players for help, but it turns out the quests can also be finished using the toy 軟趴趴的泡棉長劍 or clever use of explosives, such as G91陸鯊.

OK.
You are lvl 120 and you have never been in Icecrown before and you want to start Icecrown's quests for Loremaster before "Shadowlands" and you don't know where to start...? Go to your Hero's Call Board (like in SW 62.85 71.38, near AH in Trade District) and... just click it, choose 英雄的召喚：寒冰皇冠！ and... accept.
Don't make a mistake like me and don't look for avilable quests in Northrend for an hour...

It's important to take the Shadow Vault to get some of the other tasks unlocked. I really don't recommend doing parts of Icecrown with one character and other parts with another. Due to how a lot of the content is locked behind other quest progress, you'll have to basically redo a few quests, or a lot of them, in order to unlock the ones you're looking for. I was using the loremaster achievements as a means to level alts and do stories I never really did before at the same time, which is fine if you're doing it zone by zone, but in some cases it's better to commit to a zone with one character rather than split up a few of the tasks and Icecrown is one such zone.

I can't tell you how many quests I did on Orgrim's Hammer just trying to unlock the Heart of the Lich King content. Fortunately I still needed pretty much all of the quests I was following, although it was brutal because I didn't have heirlooms for my Mail-wearing Hunter that would level with me and there are a lot of elite group quests.

Okay boyz and girlz, so I did all the quests around Icecrown and was still stuck with these 3 sub-achis: The Heart if the Lich King, Seizing Saronite and Malykriss: The Vile Hold.

If you find yourself without quests, (speaking as ally) fly to the gunship, even tho the guys there show they only have daily quests, go to them and when you interact you will see that they offer some normal quests, once you do a couple of these you will be sent to other parts of Icecrown to quest and this will eventually lead to finishing the questing achievement.

Hello guys, I need your help... I have 5/11 completed and I am stuck. Crusader Bridenbrad/The Unthinkable/Teaching the Meaning of Fear/What's Yours is Mine/In defiance of the Scourge ALL are completed but I lack: The Heart of the Lich King/ Seizing Saronite/ Malykriss/ Mord'rethar/Aldur'thar/Corp'rethar. I am Horde, I don't see any quest anywhere! I know I played Alliance back then and changed faction multiple times, I believe I softlocked myself :( But I also saw multiple people stuck for some of these parts so, if anyone has an idea I take it! I completed the meta on other char but this is my OG char that has almost all wow quests done :(

Ok I needed to talk to Warlord Hork Strongbrow that was inside the tower. Either my progression for the whole area reseted when I changed faction or I ignored this poor guy for multiple years ^^ but atleast I could finally pick his quests and had the follow up for orgrim's hammer quest that is Mord'rethar questline! I still need to check for the other parts tho :[
