For a quick summary of this achievement you will complete it if you
1) complete the tier .5 dungeon set quests
1a) this is probably retroactive but you must still have teh required pieces of gear in your inventory for it to work.
2) complete the Onyxia attunement quest chain (last step is killing him for the blood)
2a) this might work retroactively if you still have the amulet.
3) Just plain kill him post patch 3.02

The Onyxia attunement quest chain has not been removed from the game, but is no longer required to fight her. You can walk right up to her lair and open it as a level 1 toon, assuming you could get there.

how come there is no guild achievement for clearing ubrs? it does, however, show in guild news that General Drakkisath is defeated.

Goblins are very lucky fellows. Cause we know that time is money.

So found a shortcut for us, Goblins. From the Rookery you can Rocket Jump to General Drakkisath's room. On the side where you can walk up are some ledges where can jump + rocket jump combo to reach the room of the final boss. With this you can skip the whole dungeon from the Rookery, this includes Blackrock Stadium.

In the coming expansion, Warlords of Draenor, Upper Blackrock Spire will be rehashed with a Heroic version!

Make sure to obtain this achievement now, as it will become unobtainable in Warlords of Draenor. It will become a Legacy Feat of Strength along with Leeeeeeeeeeeeeroy!, so it is best to obtain both now.

This achievement will be renamed to 'Upper Blackrock Spire (Classic)', and become a unobtainable legacy achievement. So get it while you can.

It's great that Blizz is doing this. This is the first time they're awarding an achievement for completing the classic version of a (non-raid) dungeon they've redone, instead of just simply changing the wording/requirements for it. Now if only they could do it for the Scholomance, Shadowfang Keep, The Deadmines etc. achieves.
