since its in the first row of balance, even though i go feral, I always put my first talent into this.

you can also use it while in bear and cat form and stuff

great for:
if you don't like being attacked

anti ganking rouges

if at low health and want to get away from an enemy

if you are healer, slap this on and if some aggro gets past your team and pasted on you, this could proc and you would be safe for a bit

also you can be balance start out with entangleing roots then star fire(or the other way around) cast this on yourself, they get released then come towards you while you are casting your spells, they hit you mabey twice - it procs - they get entangled, you run back and start process over again

of course this only works outside

Do most druids put a talent point into learning this so they can have these spells?

im a level 47 balance druid but i didnt put any points in this, the main reason for that is that its pretty useless since my entangling roots got a 100% chance to avoid interuption and its only 1,5 sec cast

This talent also has a tree that are spells. Once you have the base talent activated you are then allowed to upgrade its effectiveness thus the different ranks. Each rank provides the same effect but just a better root to corrispond to your current spell root at that time. Each rank is purchased just like other spells are, but in order to use these spells you must have the Nature's Grasp Talent.

This is rank 2 of the nature's grasp line. This is a spell that can be trained at spell trainer. This rank gives you the same chance for root to land as the Natures grasp talent(unless you have Improved Nature's Graps Talents then that amount is add to the bas percent), but the root on this rank last 15secs with 50 nature dmg over that 15secs... instead of 12secs with 20 nature dmg as the Natures grasp talent gives. Keep in mind. In order to be eligable for this spell must have the 1 rank available in Nature's Grasp Talent.

I believe it is called advanced nature's grasp and increases the chance of proc'ing to 50%. This is an instant cast spell effect the same as nature's grasp.

FYI, you cannot train new ranks of this spell until you've trained the corresponding ranks of Entangling Roots.
