As of now, this is one of the many pieces of DPS warrior T5 going obsolete by new gear, especially in 2.4. Currently the season 3 chest compares just about equally to this piece.

Before you loot that T5 chest token, take a good hard look at it and at what the rest of your raid is wearing. Don't let it become merely a memento of a Kael kill.

Guys,guys,this is the new warrior tier5!Tier4 and 5 won't drop instantly from a boss but now you loot a reagent item from raid boss,such as 'Chestguard of the Vanquished Defender',and you use it to buy the one item of the set.
Blizzard in Tier1,2,3 has given the really nice item sets on damage dealers:Hunter/Mage/Rogue/Warlock,and giving the tanking sets at Warriors and healing at the rest classes.But now you can choose beetween what you like to have in tier4 and 5,for example they made 2sets for a warrior,the one for tanking and the other for dps.Check all the Sets of the rest classes and you'll see that there is one set for every battle style of each class!
Good luck with your lvling and then with raiding in Outland!

you fail. this is tier 5 and is obtained by handing in tokens that drop from bosses in lvl70 instances(raids or heroic)

Why do people say this is a fury armor when it obviously has mortal strike.
Im sorry but to get mortal strike you have to go more into arms then you do fury.
Both the moves it ups are arms moves.

i belive this is for arms wariors,cause it says mortale strike for the bonus,but y the hell would they give arms over 100 damn crit rating,WTF,T4 is more of fury cause it got agility,it has les hit rating and less crit rating which a fury warrior needs,cause we tend to miss more often that arms,yet they give arms almost 80% more crit rating and 50% more damn hit rating,Blizz messed us up.

Considering it takes a good raid guild to acquire T5 at this time, if a 25 man raid is taking along an MS warrior, their gimping their raid's overall dps. The set bonus is for both ms and bt. When the end of the raiding week comes and I respec to Arms for pvp, great bonus, ms during raids obviously means you've never been in a good raid guild.

Ummmm... actually, one of the best and most often overlooked talents in the arms tree is right NEXT to MS. Don't get Me wrong, it's nice to do a lot of damage yourself with that and keeping the enemy from being able to heal as well is ALWAYS a bonus. But the REALLY nice skill is blood frenzy: "Your Rend and Deep Wounds abilities also increase all melee damage to that target by 4%." Let Me repeat that: INCREASE ALL MELEE DAMAGE, not just the melee damage that you deal, but ALL melee damage. And all you have to do for that is hit a crit or rend. If you think an arms warrior has no place going up against a boss if they can add a bonus like that to every single melee hit that lands, then you need to take your comp and WoW discs, box em up and send em back to the store. Maybe take up knitting or something...

Ok, this is why there hardly any MS warriors in raids. yes blood frenzy is nice and all, sure buff the melee dps of the raid, but that damage is just making up for the %^&*Y dmg of the arms warrior....Unless you already have awesome gear, MS WONT keep up with fury. i know this from first hand...

I would say improved berserker stance makes fury warriors better in raids, coz threat generated is lower. Though I agree blood frenzy gives some nice dps for all melee. Well, ams warriors do have a place in raids, but they have to watch their spiky crits(to avoid aggroing). BUT best thing about arms warriors is their execute, which when landed throws some great damage(very nice in boss fights, when boss is about to die and some players are dying when good dps is needed), greater than fury warriors execute. Also MS's 50% less healing effect is one good add (though mobs heals themselves quite seldom).

Arms warriors are better at off-tanking than fury warrior if they spec correctly.

I say they are both good in raids. But in the long fights fury warriors beat MS warroirs at damage :P
