This cloaks stats have gotten changed in PTR 2.1 to;

85 Armor
+12 stamina
+8 intellect
equip: improves spell critical strike rating by 16
equip: increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 34.

While this cloak is rather decent, it just isn't worth the badges considering Baba's Cloak of Arcanistry is so similar in stats.

As an Elemental Shaman with Gruul down, Im still going to go for this because I prefer to use my tokens for this than wait for High King to drop his cloak (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28797) and still probably have a mage take it.

This cloak is great for Moonkins as well. Not to mention, it looks very good compared to most other cloaks.

It's nice, but it's a minor upgrade over Baba's Cloak of Arcanistry, which is easily attained from Mechanar. Given how easy Mech is on heroic, someone running heroics for badges is likely to run into Baba's cloak and can spend their badges on more substantial upgrades first.

But does it warrant 25 Badges of Justice? Those aren't exactly easy to come by.

But again, neither are l.70 epic +damage/crit cloaks.

Doesnt really seem worth it, especially when comparing it to an easily aquired Baba's Cloak of Arcanistry. The only major difference is the very slight increased crit. I'll probably end up buying all the fire resistance gear with the badges before I'd spend it on this cloak.

im getting this asap for my elem shammy :)
it has loads of spell crit and dmg/heals (for a cape) and a nice amount of stam/int...
definately worth it in my opinion

to the guy who said its not good... ARE YOU INSANE! I have the Ogre Slayer's Cover (with 20 spell pene) and this is FAR SUPERIOR! not to mention it gettin BUFFED MORE in the next patch... you ppl always $%^&*in when an item doesn't have HUGE number increases from blues... you gotta realize these little differences on a few epics make up in the long run and more than pay for themselves.

If i can crit .05% more of the time (from a 1 spell crit rating increase) in a instance that means .05% more times im hitting for double damage! (about 1500-1600 on most spells)

edit: ...of course, you might just want to pick up THIS instead...

mmmm...the pvp cloak (sergeant's heavy cape) probably outdoes this one unless you are a spell crit hack

ditto for shadow-cloak of dalaran which is not all that hard to get off moroes and easily attainable if you have the ability to get the badges for this piece

Well really, when you think about it 25 badges isn't such a bad price. Run a few dailies; heroic shattered halls for example droppes five badges plus the two more from the daily quest, and that's nearly a third of what you need. You can guaratee getting 25 badges in like five days by doing one heroic each day.

Ye above mail is right I thought it was going to be a masssive grind for this cloak (Upgrading from ogre covers)but all i did was run Kara with my guild then do a couple of dailys and ramparts and I was there quick and painless but appreciate if you find it hard to get groups this could be a real effort.

My guild is excellent for Kara runs but not so hot on heroic dungeons but have noticed the quality of players on PUG heroic runs is a lot higher quality than non-heroic.
